    That definitely has some interesting uses especially for batched cocktails. Thank you.

    I love a good drunken buy, especially if you don’t remember and then you get a fun gift in the mail! I have all of these books. Wait, you just got smugglers. such a great resource along with the amaro book. I always learn so much when I flip though them. Tiki of course has so many ingredients. But so much fun. Interesting trend. Great review and tips on setting this carbonator up. Happy Holidays to both of you!

    Interesting looking item, so we could see some sparkling margaritas and sparkling mojitos and so on 😊😊

    Haha, it was like an early christmas present from (drunk) you to you! Seems like it could be a bit of fun and at least it's not a MASSIVE appliance taking up space

      Yes. Doesn't take much room at all.

    One of my lockdown purchases was a carbonator that has a slow pre3ssure release so you can carbonate anything without it spraying everywhere.

    Love Mastodon the band, haven't tried the drink but it sounds damn good! How are you guys liking the SquareKeg a few months down the road? Still using it?

      We use it when we have people over or go to someone's party. I really like it.

    Tip:
    I’ve used the same cartridge based soda bottles for years.
    Placing the container and liquid in the fridge for a few hours prior to carbonation is the best way to ensure maximum carbonation transfer to the liquid.

    Haha I love the drunk purchases. The Smugglers Cove book alone is worth it lol

    How much does it carbonate your drinks? Is it adjustable? Can it make a drink as carbonated as a typical fizzy soda?

    • @carl_busch
      @carl_busch  Рік тому

      It carbonates them a decent amount. There is a regulator on it. I haven't tried yet.

    Does it carbonate the drink? Id like to purchase it but I didn't want my cocktails carbonated. Can I not carbonate it as well?

    • @carl_busch
      @carl_busch  2 місяці тому +1

      You can control how much CO2 goes in there. So if you set it very low and just enough to push it, it shouldnt be carb.

    Yikes! Be careful with those drunken purchases! I would go for the books, they are great, especially the Tiki book, but not this product. I have learned some great pre-batching techniques and I love doing it for 12-15 people or more so great quality cocktails are ready to go. I am not into carbonation so this would not be for me but it looks like it could be fun for people into that! Great review you guys! Fun stuff! I like this a lot! Cheers!! 🙂

      The square keg is legit.

    Suds is the test and bottom tank collection.......Flow "with" Diameter & Leangth of tubing has alot to do with carbonated beverage pours.....3lb presure is fine. Alot of surface mass on this tank, so the liquid is spread on the base......a Keg style/Growler tank only has a 5-6" diameter spread. This size difference consolidates the liquid so the internal pickup tube can do its job. This tank appears as though you have to "tip it" to get the end liquid draws. Plus C02 surface mass is larger on this tank than a growler.....your not recarbinating a drink here, your doing a pressure pour. NO....I WOULDNT BUY IT. Its a convenience in refrigerator space, and I never drank a refrigerator !!!!!!
