Wikipedia:
Spider-Man is a superhero in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, he first appeared in the anthology comic book Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962) in the Silver Age of Comic Books. He has been featured in comic books, television shows, films, video games, novels, and plays.
Spider-Man has the secret identity of Peter Benjamin Parker. Initially, Peter was depicted as a teenage high-school student and an orphan raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben in New York City after his parents, Richard and Mary Parker, died in a plane crash. Lee, Ditko, and later creators had the character deal with the struggles of adolescence and young adulthood and gave him many supporting characters, such as Flash Thompson, J. Jonah Jameson, and Harry Osborn; romantic interests Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane Watson, and the Black Cat; and enemies such as Doctor Octopus, the Green Goblin, and Venom. In his origin story, Peter gets his superhuman spider powers and abilities after being bitten by a radioactive spider. These powers include superhuman strength, speed, agility, reflexes, stamina, durability, coordination, and balance; clinging to surfaces and ceilings like a spider; and detecting danger with his precognition ability called "spider-sense". He builds wrist-mounted "web-shooter" devices that shoot artificial spider-webs of his own design, which he uses both for fighting and travel, or "web swinging" across the city. Peter Parker initially used his powers for personal gain, but after his Uncle Ben was killed by a thief that he could have stopped but did not, Peter began to use his powers to fight crime as Spider-Man.
Spider-Man is one of the most popular and commercially successful superheroes.[11] He has appeared in countless forms of media, including several animated TV series: the first original animated series Spider-Man, with Paul Soles voicing the titular character, a live-action television series, syndicated newspaper comic strips, and multiple series of films. Spider-Man was first portrayed in live-action by Danny Seagren in Spidey Super Stories, a recurring skit on The Electric Company from 1974 to 1977.[12] In live-action films, Spider-Man has been portrayed by actors Tobey Maguire in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, by Andrew Garfield in two films directed by Marc Webb,[13] and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by Tom Holland. Reeve Carney originally starred as Spider-Man in the 2010 Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.[14] Spider-Man was also voiced by Jake Johnson and Chris Pine in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, with the former reprising his role in the sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

This show is genuinely so unexpected. I had no faith at all but I might be in love
Same here. It's such a good feeling to be surprised by a show or piece of media!
Peter has never had it this good, makes me think we're gonna see peter's luck run out
I do love how Peter and Lonnie are sinking into two very different, but no less dangerous, viper pits. I’m still waiting for the shoe to drop on Peter’s end though
Please don’t kill me for saying this and I know it’s super early but there were moments during these episodes where I felt like I was watching spectacular, I think we got something truly special here
No your absolutely right these episodes were amazing they felt so close to spectacular this show is definitely the best thing we’ve gotten in awhile
I feel you there. Because it's clear that this show was made with love and care just like spectacular.
The second Norman reveals his true colors is the second everything might go down hill
I’m sold sold *sold* on this show after these three episodes. By Spidey show in the last decade and a half, by a *wide* margin.
Ya' know what would give Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man such a 60's feel???
*Is if they actually explored Jazz elements into Spider-Man's soundtrack.*
I'm curious to see how Lonnie ends up an albino with shark teeth.
19:15 Never thought I'd see someone get stabbed in this kids show.
I think its PG LV so its not too crazy buy still suprised me as well
I was more surprised to see actual blood
I actually kind of like the Oscorp suit that they’ve given Spider-Man. It’s clearly pulling a lot from the future foundation design, but there’s a very subtle change: instead of being purely, black and white, this suit still has red, blue, black, and white elements in the design. The colors are just in the wrong places compared to where they should be.
It’s like you can tell that he is becoming the hero he supposed to, but he isn’t quite there yet
11:47 I thought the same and actually still didn't realize it was a shine and not eye slits until you pointed it out in this video.
A little detail i love is how Norman doesnt get Harry's age right, saying he's 15 and then being corrected by Harry, shows he might not be as good of a parent as he presents himself as
Idk if you noticed, but Norman's assistant said that he had a meeting with the board before he left Harry in charge of comms. And idk about you, that might not bode well for Norman, if the last time he was in a board meeting had anything to show 💀
I'm keeping my eye on Norman it's not if he betrays or uses peter it's when he does it.
DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I'VE SACRIFICED?!
This show really makes you feel like Spider-Man, ok but for real this show really has the potential to be better then Spectacular Spider-Man or the 90’s show, I’m not saying it is yet, but there’s definitely a chance!
For real
No capes!!
Glad to see I'm not the only one who caught the show proving Edna Mode right! 😊
Exactly! Thanks for the generosity!
The new batch was so good. The way it turned into a comic book like ultimate spiderman on GameCube. Crazy
Didn’t think it was an OO thought it was like an 8 like the limbs of an octopus
Saame
Im fully invested in this Spider-Man show now man
I’m happy they chose to include speed demon. He’s a pretty obscure Spider-Man villain (although I knew of the character existing full honesty up until insomniac Spider-Man two I had no idea that he was associated with Spider-Man. I just thought he was part of the squadron supreme.)
However, I’m not a big fan of his design in the show. I’m happy they kept his color scheme, but I think he, like a lot of villains in the show, could’ve benefited from having an actual super villain costume.
Even if the suit looks incredibly homemade, just giving him a modified ski mask would’ve helped
Really like how Norman cares for Peter day one showing gratitude while for Tony it took a long time. Really amplifies the idea of that the superhero’s don’t have the right morals which makes the accords seem more meaningful in civil war.
I really hope that this series has actual punching in its fight scenes in later episodes and seasons
3:49 I think we are actually getting hints towards a darker Norman with the primary hints is how controlling he was about Peter’s suit disregarding his feedback and designs for basically the whole episode
I've been enjoying this cartoon so far.
I can't help but get a feeling that Nico might have a secret crush on Peter
Same
@@studior2962 pretty sure she is bi
i feel like she low key does but at the same time i think they have other plans for her
@@studior2962i believe she bi
@@studior2962 She's bi
i really liked these 3 episodes its now my second favorite animated. Spider-Man shows spectacular obviously number one
I think the writing of these three episodes is better than the first two. It really feels like it's own thing now.
Since this show has similar continuity to th mcu imagine if everyone randomly starts fading into dust
When I first read the video title, I thought Lonnie was going to die. Thank God that didn't happen in episode 5.
I went from enjoying the show to getting super hyped. I feel bad for tombstone. And I know that show is playing me, but Norman Osborn is super charming.
I think otto might have previously worked for osborn in the past. Spectacular spider-man, and the insomniac spider-man game shows otto having a complicated relationship with otto and osborn. Also, norman did look like he knew something on the computer before peter popped up, surprising him.
I think they’re setting up Norman betraying Otto in the past being the reason why he’s so spiteful towards Norman leading into Norman’s downfall to evil after Otto is defeated
Do you think that they are going to kind of adapt the mcu spidermans movies in their own way to get vulture and mysterio
5:27 And her name’s Maria
11:33 yeah i felt the same way
In no way home when Norman sed he went to find the mcu version of Harry he sed he wasn’t the same dude he mean that Harry was black ? 😂
Probably not he might have just looked extremely different from his own son
But wasn’t this gonna be a prequel to homecoming before all 90% of the marvel tv shows and movies were either scrapped or rewritten
@@michaelharmon8960 it was originally going to be Peter’s mcu origin story but they decided to make it more of a what if style universe where Norman found out Peter was spider man instead of Tony stark
But in this universe Peter got bitten by a spider from another universe when dr strange teleported into this universe similar to miles in the spider verse was that originally the same or not ?
@@michaelharmon8960 I don’t get what your trying to say
So if in this universe Tony never recruited Peter, did he recruit someone else instead to fight Cap, or did he just show up to the airport short handed? 🤔
He went shorthanded but they still managed to get the same outcome likely Vision having to make up more of the difference
I think they’re gonna have this Peter lose everything like Tom’s
OK, the three new episodes were actually great. 3 and 4 were bit slow, in my opinion, but I guess they want to develop the mentor and mentee dynamic with Peter and Norman and I'm just grateful that they did the numerous suits in one episode and not throughout the whole series and I did find the costume side plot in episode 4 hilarious. But I refuse to call the current suit that Spider-Man is wearing the "Oscorp suit", I'm always going to see it as the Future Foundation suit, I still don't get why they had to replace the black with navy blue. But I do kinda miss the first mask he was wearing, because the moving lenses felt more realistic and not cartoony like previous versions, but that's just a nick pick. But the biggest highlight is no more web tank. 😁👍🏿💯
As for the Lonnie side plot, I like where it was heading especially when he gets called Tombstone at the end. I wouldn't be surprised if it was inspired by the Tombstone episode in the 90s cartoon and the Spectacular episode with Molten Man, because it's given me those kind of vibes.
Say what you will about this take of Harry Osborn, but he's slowly growing on me, especially his dynamic with Peter and a fact he's the guy in the chair instead of Ned. No doubt the writers were probably looking at the fan films on UA-cam for the inspiration. But I still prefer the 2017 version of Harry (Bite me) only because he feels more like the traditional Harry, but at least his friendship with Peter felt more genuine than previous incarnations. But I can't help but feel concerned where that leaves Nico, giving her skepticalism towards Harry.
It's also interesting how they've used the events of Civil War as the driving force for this series and I also like the fact that Peter is a Cap fan like in the comics. When they got stuff right, they got stuff right.
As for Peter's personality being inspired by Tom Holland's version, I'm used to it at this point, but I do miss the angsty, resentful chip on the shoulder Peter Parker from 90s, MTV, TASM and the Ultimate and Lee and Ditko comics. I think because the show is called Your FRIENDLY Neighborhood Spider-Man, the writers figure that the Tom Holland personality for this version of Peter is the best way to go and whether you love it or hate it, at least it's put to good use in my opinion.
Big Don (aka Big Ben Donovan) is a Luke Cage villain.
The show will probably touch Infinity War or at least the fact that half the universe dusts.
Oh that's a really interesting point!
Maybe in this universe, the Avengers are able to defeat Thanos before the snap.
I think we’ll see Vulture next season since Peter faces him after Civil War, which this first season is set around
A scene I always wanted to see but knew we couldn’t because Spider-Man wasn’t one of the main players was him being the last one standing between Thanos and the time stone because it is his responsibility. And this show might give us just that since he’s actually the main character here. I can imagine this spiderman doing that. But not the one from the actual mcu (before no way home). Anyway it would be nice
5:26 aint no way this shows shipping Sonadow when it has nothing to do with sonic except for Roger
Why does Roger Craig smith have to have like 5 different roles in every piece of media he’s in😭
Maybe Peter hijacks the location
I am far from this idea but based on this one show, it would be nice if Nico had feelings for peter or atleast, grow feelings by the end of the show.
I will give these episodes credit they are at least better and then the previous episodes which are better but I am hoping really hoping that we pick up the pace asap but that’s just my opinion
They took the marketing the same as transformers one 😭
Thoughts on fantastic four first steps?
It looks really good. One of the more exciting Marvel projects. Loving the tone.
@ChannelPup thank you for replying, and I also agree
I might be putting on my tin foil hat here but I feel like this show is what Marvel Studios WANTED to do with Spider-man oiginally but Sony mandated the constant crossovers and arbitrarily locked away multiple villains for their own movies, this shows feel way less restricted when it comes to the Spidey New York playground than the MCU has done with the character so far.
Let me get this straight. Tombstone is a regular Black guy, instead of being a Black albino with serrated teeth? I know Disney race/gender swapped most of this show’s cast, but removing his albinism too? (Why? Because of his white/chalk skin.)
I think the show will go there but this is his look before his Joker like transformation.
In the comics he's a complete psycho. Here it looks like they are going for a more tragic/sympathetic villain angle. I'm pretty sure he'll have some sort of accident or transformation later on to make him more like his comic book counterpart.
Ngl pup deserves a girlfriend
No I’m not a girl but I’m just saying
I think this show gas the potential to be just as good as spectacular Spider-Man but we have to wait and see also I'm fine with the show doing slow burn villains spectacular did the same thing as well
Sonic x shadow canon....?
9:35 CALLMEKEVIN CAMEO
I love the show so far....jus makes me laugh that people complained about AI used for fantastic four MCU but nobody saying how this show looks like the used an AI program to make it lol like they recorded everything with a phone and uploaded it to the program to replace everything with animation lol still love the art style honestly though
It certainly looks better than What If lol. I'm definitely sick of the 3D cel shaded type of stuff though. That show was a travesty though. They had a perfect opportunity to switch up the animation every episode to fit each new universe and they didn't do shit. Also, I still think they might do Scorpion. I think him as Venom would be a perfect villain for the more grown up version of Tom's Spiderman. Just someone bloodthirsty and evil as fuck.
E3!?!
Clicked so fast
Spoilers man
don't care still awful
still hate what they did with tombstone
