Something I struggle with is ammo management. Perhaps this is most prevalent when I don’t have items and am weakest. I often am in a reload animation when the orbs are floating. I’ve seen Reddit comments says you shouldn’t be trying to 100-0 grunts but instead should let your own grunts do most of the damage. You as the player only come in to shoot when the grunts are already low health. But this doesn’t seem in line with the aggression you emphasize in the video. I’ve also seen comments to focus on melee finishes, which may work but would be trickier to control your cover. This is my experience with most characters and I’m unable to outfarm the Medium private bots in the lane phase, so I know I’m doing something wrong. Appreciate the videos. Even as a beginner player, I can tell the content you are dropping is extremely valuable
Close distance to minions, thats the problem this lash was having. Low damage makes damage fall-off more relevant. Whoever is allowed to stand closer to the minions will do more damage to them per magazine, and therefore have the equivalent of more ammo. Once you get items like Close Range, Headshot Booster or Long Distance, you can further maximize your gun. You see here when he gets headshot booster and some points in fixation he can melt minions while keeping ammo for deny, combined with Basic Mag, it makes his laning super strong. If he spent his first 500 in Healing Rite, for example, or any of the greens, he's not able to contest wave effectively
Remember you can always slide to extend your ammo. Otherwise, yeah, it's kinda a game feel thing to know if you can reload or not. This is also why monster rounds are really good.
Hey, this is a fair issue to have and there are 4 fixes I can suggest. 1. Try to focus on only spraying the healer creep and last hitting near the creep's death 2. You have infinite ammo while you're sliding so it can be smart to slide and shoot creeps at the same time though often times it is a little situational. This is especially good when you're killing the enemy tower since you can spam slide down the stairs to save ammo 3. Reload in your downtime or after shooting a few bullets when nothing is happening to make sure you're topped up when you need to be 4. Buy ammo items like Basic Magazine and Quick Reload. Some characters really do need the bigger mag size, like Haze and Infernus. Without more ammo, you can't really pop your fixation/fire sometimes
Definitely be shooting the creeps too, yours won’t always be there or doing enough to do the work for you. And if you’re waiting for them to do all the work for you so that you can get souls then that’s gonna take forever and an aggressive lane opponent will easily take advantage of that and beat you. Besides picking up basic mag and active reload, just always make sure you’re full ammo while you aren’t doing anything. You have infinite ammo so don’t feel like you have to make the most out of every bullet in your mag
If you wanna take the guardian fast, you can kinda slide cancel down the staris, and have infinte ammo for some of your shots, thus increasing total magazine size. If ur good at it you can almost get double the shots out from a single mag.
One thing I’d like to see covered is “losing” lane and how to come back after being boxed into your guardian. How to make the best of the bad situation basically
Great video man!! I would love a video explaining the mechanics of jungling, when to jungle, when to lane. Coming from ow we don’t have that mechanic it’s a bit new for me
Hey, check out my midgame guide it might help with that. If you still have more questions, join my channel discord and i’d be more than happy to help you live brother
Love these videos dude, can't wait for the late-game one, been injecting em into my veins. Not sure if you play SHIV but there is a severe lack of high quality shiv guides around ;)
Great vid :) I feel like I used to dominate in laning and then recently I've been garbage at it, I'm trying to figure out what changed and this gave me a lot of good stuff to think about. I'm a Mo and Krill main for context, and I think that learning when/how to be aggressive might be key. Some of my best laning phases have been when I played aggressively and kept up the pressure and kept getting big heals off, but some of my worst have been *trying* to do that and just turbo feeding. I think that this vid is giving me some ideas to try out in terms of timing my aggression and knowing when it will give me big returns vs just leaving me extended. Also if you're into hearing questions/ideas for future videos, I'd love to hear your thoughts on roles in this game. I think that roles are really fuzzy and vague right now, with lots of overlap, but imo that means that theres MORE to talk about there, not less, and I'm surprised that so few people are actively trying to talk about it/break it down (although I do understand if everyone is still just unsure about it).
@@kazink7986 Hey, I think there definitely is a conversation to be had about roles, but the meta is still developing and shit is getting hard changed every patch, so while I would be open to making a video about it, it probably won’t happen for a little while
Please do make a guide on matchups and pacing! I think me, along with all the other players from OW/Apex who have never played a MOBA, need that. Also, please do as much theory as you want dude this is gold for veterans and noobies. Keep up the good work
Hey, can you give me a more specific suggestion in terms of matchups and pacing? As a general idea I'm understanding that you want me to make a video about specific lane matchups between characters and when you want to take fights/play passively/etc., am I getting that right?
@@avgjoe2 Yeah pretty much! What I meant by matchups is if I’m playing a certain type of hero, who/what playstyle do I want to be laneing against versus who/what playstyle I should avoid. And, as for pacing, I have a hard time segmenting the game and understanding at what point I need to be buying higher tier items, what are the note worthy power spikes to look out for in the enemy (maybe at 11k souls that’s when most players can afford a 6.3k item like leech), and when to stop and actually go to the shop once the forward shop is gone.
@@avgjoe2 Just pitching in, I think showcasing a passive lane is solid, but I struggle as lash against heavy damage poke lanes (especially duo lanes) like a gray talon + pocket. I buy the active heal and try to go for melees when I wont take too much damage for it, but it felt like at most points in time I was just losing lane through being out-poked, even from afar closer to my tower (pocket projectiles). This was especially painful early game when I lacked the stamina purchases. I'm new to the character but this is a general struggle of mine as well, switching off of basically only playing Paradox (easy to safely farm) so it's very different for me. This struggle happens even if I buy the active heal item and etc. But when I go too far, it's tremendously harder for me to get last hits on minion orbs and the enemy can generally get them before me if they're much closer. This is a strong consequential pain point for me on Lash in heavy poke lanes. Whenever I'd try to punish those poke heavy champs I stated earlier, it felt like they could just escape quickly and continue to poke me. Any pointers would really be appreciated. If it's lash specific that'd be great too! I'll definitely begin practicing hitting orbs in sandbox and etc as well. Also, would you mind writing the twitch link of that top Lash player you've been learning from?
Great video explaining stuff i thought i already knew, or needed to know better. Maybe let your on-screen texts last another 2-3 sec so the video doesn't have to be paused so often :) (I'm getting old...) Overall very impressed by your takes. Keep it up and good luck for the future!
I played against a Haze last night as Geist that was harassing me similarly to how you are (but not quite as good of a job).. and I enjoy seeing the other perspective to help me know what I could do better next time
I just had one of my personal best games ever thanks to your midgame guide (Unfortunately we still lost), and lately I've been struggling more with the laning phase in certain matchups, so this is a godsend.
hey,I want to know the sensitivity of your valorant and deadlock. When I use the sensitivity converter to convert valorant's sensitivity to deadlock, I can't get the appropriate sensitivity.I want to know how you found the deadlock sensitivity that suits you, thanks
Fellow Lash player here, starting his 1 ability is to instantly burst 2 minions at the start of lane phase with a heavy melee. Venunu made the mistake of not playing aggro and getting lane presence here which is very important in a farm lane matchup like this one. I would say this mistake caused him to snowball and allow you more opportunities to help you win lane. The starting with Lash's 1 is not bad here, just not utilized.
As an almost 40 year old gamer, my fps skills are going down and down. The good news is I can hone up my laning phase and let my items and farm carry me where my aim cannot. Great video and wonderful breakdown. This game is alot of fun and I do appreciate your effort in help people improve.
Love this style of video, it would also be great to see an example where your laning phase wasn’t going well and what you did to make up for it or win it back
@@tritonbard7704 Thank you bro, and absolutely. I’ll upload that video sometime today or tomorrow. University classes starting soon so I was ramping up my videos because once they begin it’ll be harder
Nice video, could you do more of these vod reviews? It is somewhat information overflow but I think that is a good thing. Honestly just hated the background music I would just not have any maybe for the intro area was fine. once the review started though it was just distracting even though its very quiet.
A great video! Thanks for the tips. I've played a lot of fps games, and laning isn't so hard for me but playing jungle and knowing when to gank is a lot harder for me (bc I don't really know the character matchups yet). I'd love to see a jungle guide next!
Hey man I’ve been really liking your content and it’s helped me improve a ton. Could you make a video going over your preferred settings (mouse sense, key binding etc.) as a moba player trying to learn and get into this game I find I’m too league pilled and might have my sense too high and I’ve been struggling with the default bindings lol. Again thanks for all the great content
I just follow Chrome’s Rapid Haze but tbh I don’t feel like his build is too good. I might make a video in the future but my Haze expertise is not that high so not sure
How would you approach the deny and securing as Shiv? His gun provides a massive disadvantage in this regard like you pointed out, ideas on what to do instead? Thanks and great vídeo!
Honestly I don't think I can give you any 100% accurate advice, but I would say that you can leverage his early game "tankiness" to punching most minions and standing close to them so that you can shotgun blast the denials
@@avgjoe2 I'll try that in the next couple games! I also faced Yamato as Shiv and it was an horror, maybe poorly position and decision's but it was denial central for Yamato + if I went close she would 3+1 combo me...
First of all really insightfull Video i'll be Sure to Check your other stuff. I Just wanted to give you a little feedback: the on Screen Text boxes you made disappear really quickly and i Had to Pause for alot of them. Anyway thanks for your effort looking forward to more :)
At first I thought the same thing, but I ended up just running the same sens. It does feel a bit slow as first especially playing Lash since you gotta spin around a lot but I think in the end it’s more valuable for tracking heads
@@avgjoe2 thanks for the context. I was always a wrist aimer thanks to league but tried committing to arm for other FPS. It’s a struggle between “comfortable right now” vs “long term improvement” lol
@Nadestorms Felt that lol. Ngl wrist aiming to arm aiming is a hard transition to make but definitely worth if not just for the skill, but for your arm health as well
@@avgjoe2 yea I just full swapped back to 420 edpi and it does already feel more consistent in this game with the tracking. Good looks man glad you could relate lol. Gl with the content for this game 👍🏻 lots of good ideas already just keep improving as you grind it out.
Could you maybe post a match where you are playing against a strong laner like infernus etc. and if you have any tips on how to survive these harder lanes? I feel like you were kind of allowed to take this huge lead in that lane without much of a resistance from lashes side. I guess what I'm asking is how to play the lane from a position where you are losing by default. Anyway nice video and amazing performance :)
I mostly play Bebop, and I think in general one of my problems is that I don't change my playstyle enough depending on the matchup. Against characters with weaker laning phase I should be bullying harder with threat of hook and sticky waveclear and against characters with stronger poke I should be playing a little slower and going for denials since Bebop is one of the only characters with a hitscan primary weapon. It's been a hot minute since I've played a moba so while I'm familiar with concepts like lane matchups I'm quite a bit rusty.
It's definitely just experience and adapting to those experiences. Keep playing and critically looking at what you're doing, and you'll figure out when to step on the gas and when to chill a bit for sure
@@avgjoe2 inspired by your vids I tried Lash for the first time and goodness gracious I get it. Deadlock turns into a movement shooter once you get like two items and by the time you get five or six you can just fly across the map, crazy fun even with my mediocre movement
@@avgjoe2 it has some flaws but man the core of this game (movement, shooting, character design, sound design, feedback, etc.) is rock solid. Tbf I only played 50 hours of League like 2 years ago but I’m already liking this way more. Icefrog game design goes hard.
Would be helpful to get some tips on landing with a "weird gun" hero too. You mention you play the lane differently with heroes like that but curious what that looks like if you're looking for another video idea
Hey, I actively stay away from those characters after trying them out but a few others have commented as well and I think I'll make a video on one of them sometime soon
Great video!!! Video suggestion or tip: how do I play against someone, like yourself, who clearly aims better and denies better than me. My mmr is still low and I’m not seeing it often, but as more people discover the game, I can see the sweaty folks dominating me with raw aim.
That would definitely have a lot to do with lane management and playing characters that have good utility vs. characters that are more reliant on their gun damage. If you manage the lane well enough and use your utility to poke your enemies, you can farm most of the time by punching minions and denying souls through positioning vs. aim.
Would love to see a similar video for a poke comp in a duo lane. I can consistently win lane solo, but also consistently lose the duo lane with grayhawk and feel like I don't know how to play it. Thanks for the vid
What's a good way to practice aiming? I'm old so I don't expect to be amazing but I feel like I should probably mess with my mouse settings and putting in 10 mins a day could help me improve.
Hey, that's a super super broad topic but I'll try to cover it really quick. My biggest advice is to download AimLabs and put in at least a few minutes (maybe 10-15) every day practicing the exercises on a website called Voltaic.gg. On that site, there are exercises that if you click, open on the AimLabs game and allow you to practice them. Picking your sensitivity can seem daunting but try to stick with whatever you feel comfortable with. In general though, you want to stay around 1 full swipe of your mousepad for a 360 or even a 180 if you really like it slow.
Any advice for duo lanes, coming from dota 2 (but also applies to league), i'm used to lane roles and playing support. Spamming viscous atm and doing quite well but i'm still very lost in laning phase. Do you think duo lanes are different in any way than solo in this regard? should one person harass more and one person cs more or what? :)
I think duo lanes in general are more difficult because of the fact that they can easily get more chaotic. I would say that coordination is the most important variable, as in attacking together and focusing the same target when the time is right, as well as helping each other retreat when needed. In general the more cohesive duo should win unless the lane matchup is just completely abysmal. When I queue solo, and I get into a duo lane, I like to communicate using VC a lot as it does help get my teammate on the same page as me.
@@avgjoe2 Makes sense :) Feel like me and my mate do that decently already, he tends to get annoyed that im too aggressive whilst he is left to do all the farming :D Idk if he has a point or if that's a good division of labour. Maybe it's better to clear wave together then fight together etc. it's super weird, love it though.
can you make a video talking about early laning in a duo lane? a lot of the concepts from this video can probably be applied to a duo lane, but would be interested in hearing additional tips. thanks
I actually actively avoid duo lanes unless I'm with a premade teammate, because without being on the same page it can easily turn into 2 separate 2v1s. My biggest tip is run away from duo lanes by asking your teammates to swap, or find someone to play with and always lane with them
1. Deny their souls and don't let them deny yours (from a safe distance, and that can be hard to determine at first) 2. Buying counter items like Reactive Barrier to Wraith 3. Communicating with your teammates and asking for ganks/pressure With that being said I would say the best way to get yourself back into the game is to farm a side lane post 10 mins and just play a bit of catch up, but it does require good communication with your team. Roaming and winning skirmishes in other lanes or playing around teammates that are ahead are also good strategies.
nice video, I feel like you played this lane very much like a league player whereas a lot of non moba players focus on dueling and trying to get ahead that way
It does just depend on the matchup. I try to aggress whenever I have the chance but Haze has like 1 hp at the start of the game so it's a bit difficult and you have to be more technical about it
On lane priority, what should you do if you lose the lane priority? In this case lash plays as he should and you are further from the wave. Also, i had troubles laning against poke, solo shiv ,geist , and once in a duo lane warden talon who kept bombing and trapping :( staying near the wave loses you the trade and staying far means you lose creeps. How would you play around this if lane swap is not an option?
I had a case playing infernus(first time) against a competent shiv(first time against) , can you explain who has advantage and how? I lost badly against his poke even though i itemised 3 greens straight. My lane swapper haze told me i would win against shiv ahah but idk if im just bad or he just doesnt want to lane against shiv
I would say it's a pretty even lane and a skill check for the most part. Infernus has one of the highest early game DPS but Shiv has some pretty decent poke and sustain. I think Infernus does have a slight edge in this lane. It's really just about trading well with your enemy and positioning yourself in places that allow you to poke and get back to safety as well farm minions. Against poke lanes, items like Healing Rite/Health Regen are really important but without some damage as well to threaten your enemies, they're just going to turn you into a pin cushion. It just depends on who you play, but every character can look for a time to engage with their ult or some kind of a response to being poked down, so try to think about what your character is particularly good at. For example, in a 2v2 lane if I'm Lash and my teammate is Ivy, I look to make a play with my ult as soon as I have it and an opportunity presents itself, even in a lane where I'm getting poked down. It's especially in those lanes that plays like that can work because the enemy begins to underestimate your ability to fight back, but again, you need to practice and figure out what exactly it is you want to do
can you make a guide for 2v2? i always feel lost in 2v2 lanes and i feel like they’re usually just harder on average because i have to deny and position against two enemies instead of just one
@@avgjoe2 that’s interesting; i’ve never really looked into the matchmaking. do you get placed into 2v2 lanes often? i’ll try to apply the principles from this video as best as i can in 2v2 lanes for now but i honestly struggle with them lol
I get why you probably have to put top x MMR in the title but it reads so stupid xD But thanks for being the first one I found that actually makes informative content and doesn't just play a random match and call it a guide.
I think not killing the tower for as long as possible when you are ahead in a lane (and your teammates also haven't pushed theirs) Is the correct play especially if you can pressure them under the tower it ends up making them lose some cs to tower although you lose some souls yourself as in there is no soul to deny. it kind of makes it go from a (perfect scenario) 150% of souls in a lane going your way and 50% theirs to a like 120% yours and 20% theirs. Might not be very legible typed it quickly.
Killing the tower early gets rid of their shop and in the side lanes especially it really makes it hard to use your souls. Also, after you break the tower, you can more easily roam and help other lanes so it's viable for sure. Situationally I'm sure sometimes you'll want to let it live for a little longer though
@@avgjoe2 thanks a lot appreciated!! Another thing I have the feeling that enemies can chase me so easily to kill me but other way around I am not able to follow. Any tips on that except for practicing? 😅
Both are good, optimally you want to try to jungle while there's "nothing to do" in the lane, and then repressure the lane when the waves collide again. Trying to not die while doing that is also important because enemies will often try to collapse on you; with that knowledge though you could probably call for teammates and set up a bait.
you brought up that your mechanical aim allowed you to do this even on a hero? you dont play often like haze. But that on "weird" guns you would have to play differently like on shiv or grey talon, what do you mean by that? play closer or for melee or something im not really sure, and how would this apply to someone with very weak disengage tools like a grey talon?
GT for sure you need to stay away and deny/farm from a distance, using your 1 to poke and take lane priority that way. Weird guns I was mostly referring to ones without good long distance accuracy like Shiv/Pocket/Abrams, which require you to be closer to the minions to actually deny and farm properly. I would say on those characters good fundamentals in lane management are really important.
At 5:50 you say "Buy whenever you have money to buy, but not if you're going to miss minions." But then, after clearing the next wave, you have $500 to buy and you end up pushing up and hitting the guardian instead of buying. Can you explain why you decided to push up instead of buying here?
I didn’t know where he was and I wanted to force him back into the lane/capitalize off of him not being there. Best to buy in downtime when there’s sort of nothing to do like when the waves reset, or when you have to or you’re going to get outscaled in lane
@@avgjoe2 Thanks for the response - I now see how you could force someone back into the lane by threatening the guardian taking all the minions. If you don't mind, what do you mean by a wave resetting?
Just didn't think about it or felt the need to in this VOD I guess, still working on making my mechanics as good as possible but I do it sometimes situationally in general but I definitely should have done it to save bullets/maximize efficiency while shooting his tower
I think the lash just played like shit and the fact you had any lead and was not constantly eating 120+ damage per spell cast is a massive skill issue on his part, no exceptions. theres no way he loses this lane and doesnt bull you out. His abilities do hundreds of damage even at rank 1/0 earlier you took over 120 damage from 550-> 366 hp. The fact he didnt immediately follow up with half a clip opf damage on you says he doesnt know the character. I also think with your giant gold lead not getting tesla and farming camps/rotating and still sitting in the middle of your lane at 6m in is a massive L as a haze. Maybe your team wasnt communicating but the mo and krill is under 70% hp for the longest time and thats a free turret if you rotate even once. Shiv is disgusting. Feed him and yourself gold and the game ends in 15m.
im new to mobas and im having troubled choosing what role im the best at your guided have helped with some of my decision making. i kinda want to know how i should choose a role and excel in it against other players. thx joe
Just play them all brother, this game doesn't have specific "roles" so just play every character until you find the one that's for you. That's how I found my mains which are Lash/Infernus. I still haven't figured out everyone I like to be honest
I don't want to outright accuse of false advertising but with this aim and ignoring rundown/free kills in this video alone i question the honesty in that 0.2% mmr. Im in 4% mmr and some of your trades + the aim is questionable, at 4:30 -> 4:50 you have him on sub 200 hp with a full mag and you know his whip is on cooldown, with your weapon dps adavantage, the overextension to your tower, the hp advantage and the ability to dodge his only other offensive ability... Idk but if im the haze there he's dead or clutching a 1hp escape to tower (and this is only if he leveled W which uh... you know lvl 2 is questionable) I respect the content + grind tho
Hey bro, I appreciate the comment and wanted to address your points. 1. In terms of aim, everyone whiffs but I hold quite a few top 10 records on popular Voltaic exercises in Aimlabs and I did peak top 160 in Valorant just last act so I'm pretty confident that if my aim is worse than yours and you're a 4% MMR player, you might just be the GOAT 2. At 4:30, he had bought Extra Health and I honestly just didn't have the Haze experience to know whether I had the damage to kill him in the wave there since I was also about 250 HP. If I had it to do over again I'd probably try to kill him there. Being a good player doesn't mean you don't make mistakes and that you always make the right choices, it just means you learn and adapt :) tracklock.gg/players/399289886
Not to good at shooters, but pretty good at moba's the way you utilise advantages use mind games zoning and your cds perfect made me realise this is a moba first than a shooter, guess what I need to do us play a lot and know each heroes strengths and weaknesses
so d´this vid was very analytic and overall well done, there were many important tipps. But i think most people (me included) struggle more into agressive lanes, and not passives, like this lash. So maybe you ave another vid were you struggle a bit more, because the enemy plays into your face.
The thing is if you put me on the other side, then the Lash would've been the aggressive one. It's just about playstyle and optimizing trades. At the end of the day you have to shoot the enemy with your gun, and while it isn't always true that the better player might win the trade, it does have an impact and even in lanes where an enemy is "supposed" to have an advantage, in Deadlock, there's lots of potential opportunities everywhere
I think you brought up alot of good points but I think alot of the ideas you talk about are not actionable advice. The idea of 'outplaying' your opponent by conditioning them is not going to be relevant for most players who still don't properly grasp the fundamentals. 9.5 times out of 10, properly understanding the fundamentals will win the lane. Even in this video, you didn't win your lane cause you got in his head, you won the lane cause you were playing the lane better. You baiting him to step forward and kill him is irrelevant to winning the lane since it really wouldn't matter if you killed him or not. I think you should make a video series about specific concepts like angles, trading, efficiency and focus less on trying to 'outplay' the other guy. IMO the only time you should go on the enemy is when they're threatening some objective or point of control in the lane. Just focus on maximising your networth difference, not your KDA.
Agreed with maximizing net worth, but I think now is a particularly good time for people to be aggressive and learn their limits and improve their mechanics while also learning the best time to aggress vs. farm
@@avgjoe2 when you're trying to teach someone something telling them to 'be aggressive' and to 'test your limits' doesn't teach them the fundamental skills they need to lane better. You did well when you explained your pre-game drills but if some viewer just tries to consistently 'out-maneuver' the opponent they're going to learn the wrong skills. If someone wants to get better at last hitting, they should practice last hitting, if they want to get better at using angles they should practice it. I think focussing on one of these things in your next video would help people alot.
@@winnietheweeaboo6533 I personally believe experience is the best teacher, and that no pro got to where they got by watching videos and not practicing and experimenting on their own. But with that being said I understand where you're coming from for sure, and in my next video I'll put a bit more emphasis towards what fundamentals someone should practice to actually improve their gameplay without generalizing it as "work on your mechanics". Thanks for the feedback brother!
Fun fact, venenu is a former world champion midlaner in smite
I personally LOVE the analytical style on your videos. Hope your channel does well, appreciate the insights!
Bro’s gonna explode
Might be worth buying Active Reload and Magazine items in that case!
Remember you can always slide to extend your ammo. Otherwise, yeah, it's kinda a game feel thing to know if you can reload or not. This is also why monster rounds are really good.
Hey, this is a fair issue to have and there are 4 fixes I can suggest.
1. Try to focus on only spraying the healer creep and last hitting near the creep's death
2. You have infinite ammo while you're sliding so it can be smart to slide and shoot creeps at the same time though often times it is a little situational. This is especially good when you're killing the enemy tower since you can spam slide down the stairs to save ammo
3. Reload in your downtime or after shooting a few bullets when nothing is happening to make sure you're topped up when you need to be
100% true, it's funny because I knew that in this VOD I was just rot brained and not thinking about it at all for some reason
Great informative vid 🙏🙏
Exactly the type of content I was looking for. Great message at the end aswell. Keep it up!
One thing I’d like to see covered is “losing” lane and how to come back after being boxed into your guardian. How to make the best of the bad situation basically
That’s definitely on my list of upcoming videos!
Glad to find a good channel to cover this amazing game.
Amazing video! Great job on explaining the content of this video, easy to understand. Keep at it!!!
Great video and great advice, keep up the good work man!
Loving the content man thank you
Great vid :) I feel like I used to dominate in laning and then recently I've been garbage at it, I'm trying to figure out what changed and this gave me a lot of good stuff to think about.
@@kazink7986 Hey, I think there definitely is a conversation to be had about roles, but the meta is still developing and shit is getting hard changed every patch, so while I would be open to making a video about it, it probably won’t happen for a little while
@@avgjoe2 fair enough 🫡
Liked, subbed, and turned on notifications. This was an incredible video, thanks man.
@@Cadaur Venenu_ is their twitch

Quality content, subbed and hope to learn more from you.
I just had one of my personal best games ever thanks to your midgame guide (Unfortunately we still lost), and lately I've been struggling more with the laning phase in certain matchups, so this is a godsend.
I'm glad to hear that bro ❤️

Wow one of the better analysis guides I seen. Looking forward to more of your videos. +1 sub
You’re on fire let’s go 🎉🎉🎉
I appreciate you a lot bro. Thank you ❤️
Fellow Lash player here, starting his 1 ability is to instantly burst 2 minions at the start of lane phase with a heavy melee. Venunu made the mistake of not playing aggro and getting lane presence here which is very important in a farm lane matchup like this one. I would say this mistake caused him to snowball and allow you more opportunities to help you win lane. The starting with Lash's 1 is not bad here, just not utilized.
Understood, appreciate the comment
I love the analytical style you are driving there ^^
10:20 honestly why I like playing this game. I can hop from this to CS2 and not worry about my aim lacking
As an almost 40 year old gamer, my fps skills are going down and down. The good news is I can hone up my laning phase and let my items and farm carry me where my aim cannot. Great video and wonderful breakdown. This game is alot of fun and I do appreciate your effort in help people improve.

Could you make a video going over your preferred settings (mouse sense, key binding etc.) as a moba player trying to learn and get into this game I find I’m too league pilled and might have my sense too high and I’ve been struggling with the default bindings lol. Again thanks for all the great content
LOL trust me you don't want to copy my binds. I'm left handed, but in my next video I'll cover them anyway just for the fun of it
Great video! I love it! Can you make a video about your haze build?
I just follow Chrome’s Rapid Haze but tbh I don’t feel like his build is too good. I might make a video in the future but my Haze expertise is not that high so not sure

You should stream. Very good analysis
I just wanna say thank you so much for bothering to explain some MOBA basics. Almost every other video assumes you’re already well versed in them.
I love how you recognize the good decisions he makes even if you completely dominated the lane.
Good stuff mate! Learned a ton. Keep it coming :D

Nice video. As a dude who came from valorant, do you run higher sens in this game? It doesn’t feel like I can stick to my Valo sens.
Hey thanks for the comment, I absolutely will make a video sometime soon on playing a hard lane/coming back from a lane that you're losing

@@avgjoe2 Totally get that, I'm on board either way
Great video!!!
The video should be from the POV of the poke comp, right?
@@avgjoe2 ya ❤️
@@avgjoe2 Thanks! I know it's a huge topic but really appreciate the response.

Just going off the tracker website stats 🫡
can you make a video talking about early laning in a duo lane? a lot of the concepts from this video can probably be applied to a duo lane, but would be interested in hearing additional tips. thanks
I actually actively avoid duo lanes unless I'm with a premade teammate, because without being on the same page it can easily turn into 2 separate 2v1s. My biggest tip is run away from duo lanes by asking your teammates to swap, or find someone to play with and always lane with them
Tips to salvage a losing lane other than rotating or neutrals? Really insightful video. Good stuff.
1. Deny their souls and don't let them deny yours (from a safe distance, and that can be hard to determine at first)
2. Buying counter items like Reactive Barrier to Wraith
3. Communicating with your teammates and asking for ganks/pressure
With that being said I would say the best way to get yourself back into the game is to farm a side lane post 10 mins and just play a bit of catch up, but it does require good communication with your team. Roaming and winning skirmishes in other lanes or playing around teammates that are ahead are also good strategies.
How did you get your crosshair to be a mini +? What are your values
ua-cam.com/video/D0ATtccyCbM/v-deo.html
nice video, I feel like you played this lane very much like a league player whereas a lot of non moba players focus on dueling and trying to get ahead that way
It does just depend on the matchup. I try to aggress whenever I have the chance but Haze has like 1 hp at the start of the game so it's a bit difficult and you have to be more technical about it
Fantastic video 📹

Are you primarily playing alone in your 2v2s? Like, not with a friend on Discord

Would love to see a vid for handling a losing lane
Hey, I'm working on that as one of my next videos!
Also Pocket's gun has fixed spread, so it actually is entirely accurate, Shiv's doesn't but some shotguns have fixed spread
I actually didn't know that, thanks for the info!
I am a completely beginner, is there any indicator or so to see if your enemy has denied a soul?
Yes, the games makes a loud sound and you see a visual writing "Denied" in orange over the soul.
@@avgjoe2 thanks a lot appreciated!! Another thing I have the feeling that enemies can chase me so easily to kill me but other way around I am not able to follow. Any tips on that except for practicing? 😅
Is it worth to push a walker if you destroy the tower early or is it better to go jungle?
Both are good, optimally you want to try to jungle while there's "nothing to do" in the lane, and then repressure the lane when the waves collide again. Trying to not die while doing that is also important because enemies will often try to collapse on you; with that knowledge though you could probably call for teammates and set up a bait.
What’s your mouse sens?
0.15 1600 dpi on Valorant, use a converter I think they're pretty accurate
@@avgjoe2you aim with your arm or your wrist?
you brought up that your mechanical aim allowed you to do this even on a hero? you dont play often like haze.

Stupid question, but how do you know your mmr?
There's online websites that track it for you, like "tracklock.gg"

Idk but if im the haze there he's dead or clutching a 1hp escape to tower (and this is only if he leveled W which uh... you know lvl 2 is questionable)
I respect the content + grind tho
Hey bro, I appreciate the comment and wanted to address your points.
1. In terms of aim, everyone whiffs but I hold quite a few top 10 records on popular Voltaic exercises in Aimlabs and I did peak top 160 in Valorant just last act so I'm pretty confident that if my aim is worse than yours and you're a 4% MMR player, you might just be the GOAT
2. At 4:30, he had bought Extra Health and I honestly just didn't have the Haze experience to know whether I had the damage to kill him in the wave there since I was also about 250 HP. If I had it to do over again I'd probably try to kill him there.
Being a good player doesn't mean you don't make mistakes and that you always make the right choices, it just means you learn and adapt :)

When they fix the dogshit ai of the minions maybe wave management will actually be feasible instead of a gamble in the future
Hopefully lol
