body open to the target then swinging towards the target sounds very familiar, got away with it sometimes but then out of nowhere - a shank now I know why , thanks for the advice
Thanks Jared, just starting shanking my chip shots a month or so ago, it’s very unnerving. This was a nice and simple explanation of how it happens and how to stop it 😊
Thanks for an excellent video Jared. I'm suffering with chip shanks at the moment, because I think I roll my wrists on the backswing. Now, I stand over the shot and wonder where's this going. This gives me something to work on, thank you
Very clear on why I can hit good pitch/chips then start shanking....coincidentally I have the same not turning through the shot problem with my full swing shots. Not shanks just weak shots .
Great video. Although this vid focuses on chipping, your explanation and remedy also applies to fuller shots. Keep rotating chest (I focus on left shoulder, same concept) and chances for shanks are greatly reduced. Best shank advice i've ever seen without any gimmicks, 2 balls, headcovers, tee's. Nice work!
Finally. Someone has explained, in a way that everyone can understand, why the shank occurs and how to fix it. Great video Jared. Thank you.
