Nah, Wily wanted to conquer the world as revenge for not getting the recognition he felt he was owed. I doubt he wanted the destruction that was caused in the X/ Zero series. If anything, Sigma from the X series won.
And this time and this time and this time and this time Wily: I get it megaman. Holy shit. Megaman: Oh no, it took me 20 years to make this and you are watching it!
I couldn't stop laughing when I saw the flashbacks earlier today. Inti Creates deserves massive kudos for even nailing the right weapon for each last boss.

Protoman is great. He comes out of nowhere, warns Mega Man, who doesn't listen. Then comes back to help. "Looks like you need my help - again." That is just too funny.
The colors all represent the weaknesses that each final boss had. But seriously, why Wild Coil? It could've been anything else against Wily Capsule 7, but why that weapon?
@@silverflight01 I guess to make the fight even harder than it is, because the wild coil is hard to aim to the capsule. They really went all in to make that fight the hardest one yet
I cringe every time someone complains about how 7, 8, and MM&B are in 8-Bit here. Why on earth would they have 16 or 32 bit sprites in an 8 bit game? How odd and out of place would that look?
Fun fact: they got Megaman's color schemes right! MM1 is Cut, MM2 is Bubble, MM3 is Top, MM4 is Pharaoh, MM7 is Spring, MM8 is Grenade, and the others defeated Wily with the Mega Buster. All of these are valid final boss weaknesses.
In Mega Man 5, Wily's weakness is Beat, and Beat doesn't change Mega Man's color, so they nailed that one. In Mega Man 6, Willy's weakness is the Silver Tomahawk, but I guess they didn't change Mega Man's color because of that game's ending. In MM&B they were wrong, since there it should have been the colors of the Magic Card weapon, though.
I love how the writers make me see that Megaman is desperated to make Wily change for the better. He really wanted to kill him in Megaman 7 beacuse was frustrated for being cheated over and over again by Wily. But here we can feel that Megaman is almost pleading him to be a better person.
@@somethingsomething9008 Uh, yes it is. Only difference is that the canon follows the Japanese dialogue where instead of saying "I am more than a robot" Mega Man just stops and stays silent.
Maybe in Mega Man 12 or 13, Dr. Light can find love which results into the unkown woman to be Mega Man's Stepmom, but Dr. Wily tries to break up the marriage by causing mayhem. After the final boss, we can get a cutscene of Mega Man finally getting fed up with Wily's schemes which might result into him crying in anger (I know he's a robot, but think about it). It might predict the X series and it might result into an emotional flashback, either way, I'm calling it.

Mega Man 5's could have been Beat, as that's the same color. Most of the weapons they show are the best ones against Wily in their respective games. 6 skipped the Silver Tomahawk probably because that was a scenario where it ran out or something (it's good against all Wily forms, after all). And I thought 8's was the Astro Crush at first, which was weird... The blue kinda looks green on that sprite; at least I'm sure the Flash Bomb's blue wasn't like that in the original. But either way, that wasn't even the best weapon against Wily either; sure, it was easier to hit, but the Flame Sword did more damage.
It's nice to know what happened to the MM9 masters. After all, once you think about it, they're Mega Man's brothers...and sister. Like the MM1 Robot Masters. And they were not designed to be malicious war machines like the Wily-Bots.
I just beat the game early this morning at 2 am, lol. I loved every bit of it. And the fact that Bass is on the screen in the background leads me to think there will be another. And of course the fact that it sold 60,000 copies in the Americas alone the first day. It's safe to say classic Mega Man is definitely back. :)
2:53 Dr. Wily: “So long, Mega Man! You will be destroyed along with this Castle! And also I killed protoman and bass.” (And then mega man died from the explosion of the castle, the end. Also this is dark)
Well, the robot masters are REALLY gonna get scrapped now... I mean, judging by the destruction they caused, these guys are basically wanted terrorists, and if the robots in Megaman 7's robot museum are the originals, then that means that when they're captured, they're gonna get deactivated, and their lifeless bodies will be put up for display in the robot museum. Still think this ending is happy?
I love this ending, it's nice to see that the robots are good again. That scene with Concrete man was funny, Concrete man: "I'm gonna pound you for what you did to Gutsman!" Wily:"EEEEEK!" The Green/Yellow devil boss was annoying!XD

I got the game last night and finally beat it today. Capcom definately succeeded in returning to the roots of the classic NES Mega Man style. However, I was kind of disappointed by the ending.
Why didn't Protoman bail Megaman out earlier? Did he change his mind? Or just wanted to use tough love and let Megaman learn from his naivety before actually saving him? I mean either way that's cold.
