Don't worry, I feel the same. I'm 66 and just started with watercolors about 3 yrs ago. Now I'm into acrylics. Trying at abstracts. I already started buying my oils because I plan to get in the Mastery program. I wish I didn't waste all these years.
The art behind you looks beautiful! I also have to say you have an awesome sense of style & humour 😄 looking forward to watching your journey through the program!
Hi there, gosh thank you so much for your comment on this video, I didn't realise there WERE any comments until just now. What a twit I am! Thanks again, I appreciate you! :-) xx
Good on you for following your dreams. I'm also in the mastery program, started in December. The program gets off to a flying start doesn't it :o) You soon start to build up a small production line of paintings. Maybe we'll bump into each other on Art Social. God bless.
Hi Tony, I'm sorry I only just saw this message, thank you so much for commenting! How are you doing? I shall try and find you inside the course :-)). Hope you are enjoying it.
Hi Gabrielle - I just found your channel. I started the Mastery Program last May 15. I got almost through the Mixed Media section and have decided to actually restart the program. I think with your experience you will do very well. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
Hi! Thanks so much for your comment :-). Oh well done for getting so far, it's a massive undertaking isn't it! I don't know your name but why don't you try and connect with me inside the programme :-). Thank you for the kind words too! :-) x
I am on the edge about this course as I watched a video workshop they did and loved the process , in the video it had said a different price to what it is now 😢 £250 a month not including materials & I’m a single mum with health issue on benefits. But I love art & feel it would be so beneficial.
Hi Cindy, Thanks for your message xxx yes the price has gone up recently it's such a shame. And the materials are expensive too. I'd say that if you can't possibly afford it right now then shelve it, there are so many free art videos on UA-cam you can search for instead, just pick an area you like the look of and follow those instead. It's not worth stressing about money when there are free options around. I'm sending you massive hugs xxx
Thanks for your comment :-) Yes having the time to ACTUALLY do the course is really hard. I think the best way to think about it is is not to put pressure on yourself, no matter what the course says. I can't believe that many people of working age can commit to 20 hours a week! I do a couple of hours a week if that, so I'm slooow. But I'm still delighted to be in the course and learning so many new skills, it's worth it so far. If you join, come find me inside the course :-)
I like them, was actually going to register for the program, to learn a technique and become a better painter. I do not buy , however, the golden mountains they promise ( you mentioned, no guarantee, they do not). If the owners selling a lot of paintings, does not mean you will, if some successful graduates selling for thousand dollars, does not mean you will. Selling or not (regardless of how good you are) depends on so many nuances and " ifs"....not sure people( reading some comments on the internet) realistically understand this part. If I sound like negative Karen, let it be. I do sell my paintings, btw, not a lot, but consistently. I know how much efforts go into this. ....just working hard is not enough.
I agree with you totally. Just because they have been successful does not mean that their students will be. Personally I am not treating this course as the holy grail to becoming a full time artist, I cannot commit to the hours necessary even if it WAS possible! I'm treating this as a master BOOSTER to my art skills, I am levelling up massively by following the course. I am really looking forward to the 'Finding your Voice' part of the course and I just don't feel I would find it as fast without it. So those are the reasons I'm currently finding the course so valuable. If it helps me to become a full time successful painter, then that's the cherry on the top! :-)
@@RachaelAlexander thank you for your kind comment! Inside the course they give you instructions on how to make it, and my brother works with wood so he was able to do it all, I would’ve had absolutely no idea! But it is pretty simple if you have the right materials.
@@RachaelAlexander It leans against the wall, and you can put small or large canvases on it, if small then you just need to put items underneath it to bring it further up to eye level.
Hi Angela, thank you for your comment! :-). I am very slow at the moment because I've been helping with a family house move, so real life has been getting in the way. But next week I'll be going my last charcoal session in Week 4 and then will make a video on that section, promise! :-)
you did a great job on the video! You have a nice and also nonannoying personality when presenting .I too am your age and also obsessed with art ! What do you think causes that art obsession with people our age?
Thank you so much for your comments 🥰 ah i’ve always been obsessed with art, but it’s only now I’m making my art journey a priority. Maybe also we start to realise that time is not on our side! 🥴 🥰
@@olanyperez6416 there are a multitude of oil, paints, brushes, mediums, and other tools necessary in order to take the course. And I’m only on part one of the course. Great video and info, thank you ☺️ I'm thinking to join the mastery program too and just put myself on the waiting list. Can I ask, how long you waited until the program started?
Thank you for sharing your journey. I'm happy to have found your page and just subscribed. Are you signed up for the Mastery Program or just the Mentorship Program. The Mastery Program with Milan is showing up as $1200/month. The Mastery Program with Personal Mentoring is currently $500/month and finally the Mastery with Group Coaching is $330/month. You posted this video only 5 months ago. Have prices really gone up this much???
Hi there, thanks for your comment! I signed up for the basic package, Mastery program. No coaching or mentorship. I can see with the essentials package it is $330 a month, but I don’t have coaching, so maybe that’s why my package is cheaper than the cheapest one there. The $1200 is if you want personal mentoring. If you want, I can always ask them, where has the package gone with no group coaching, if you want me to.
Thank you for your reply. I did contact the institute and received a message saying that they now include the mentorship part so thus the increase in price.
@@andreaschlickbernd4481 Ah I see! Oh that's a shame for those on a budget :(. But if you have a budget for it then I think the mentoring would be fabulous and would help to keep you on track. I'm doing it without any mentoring and that's probably why it's taking me so long, too much procrastination!
Hi there, it looks like they have recently put their prices up but in doing so they have now included the group support. I think that having the support will be really valuable because it helps to push you forward, otherwise it’s very easy to fall behind. But it is a lot of money!
I think that they have a rolling enrollment system, you join the waiting list. It was only a week or so until I got in, so I'm not sure whether that is just a ploy to get you to sign up or not, but once you are in you just start whenever suits you. i hope that helps :-)
Good Luck ! I will be starting in Dec 23. Excited but challenging as I am a 67 year old who is now getting serious about art! I live in Scotland
Hi there! Oh I'm so excited for you! Come and find me inside the programme and let's be friends! :-)) x
I’ve started and really organised which I know it’s going to take to stay the course. I will look for you and send a message. Thanks Linda
