I have this putter. It took some time to learn it, and it can send a ball quite a ways if you put any umph into it. That extra weight combined with the Whitehot Ai insert is extremely responsive to speed of touch to the ball. My grip is right hand low, very low, grip rested on my right forearm, and left hand fingers press grip into my right forearm. My left elbow is cocked out and it creates a perfect triangle pendulum to stay on plane. Love the results.
I’m the opposite. Just ordered the jailbird (not mini) over my DF3. Jailbird is softer feeling and a little more consistent. It got some fliers with my DF3 occasionally.
I thought the grip/putter was so long to promote one to choke down to make it feel more counter balanced. I know Rickie and Wyndham both choke down on it, so much so that Rickie had to shorten his putter because it was snagging on his shirt.
Yes that’s the whole point. In this video they sure not showcasing the purpose of the counterbalance and holding it up at the top. It’s designed to be held as if the shaft isn’t longer to counter balance when you choke up

put this exact model in the bag and loving it. it does take some getting used to for sure but really great putter.

Anyone tried both jailbird and df3? What would you choose? Currently have a jailbird but been wanting a lab link or df3. Just need some insight.
I own both and it's a tough choice. But if I had to give up one, it would be the jailbird mini. I just love the DF3.

i think that's the general idea but i believe it depends person to person, especially if you're a bit taller
