No one could sing a love song quite like Charlie Rich. His voice was smooth and full of soul. Country music was lucky to have him and the world was blessed to hear him. RIP “Sliver Fox. Still missing you after all these years.
Loved Charlie Riches music when I was young still love it now! thanks Charlie Rich sad we lost Charlie Rich, Eddie Rabbitt, and Mel Tillis great musicians that left their mark.
It was 1978. Dad wanted to take me to see the new Superman movie with Christopher Reeve. It was sold out, so we caught this. RIP Dad, I had a wonderful time.
I didn't see the Superman movie until it hit cable in 80'/81'. But my grandparents took me and my sister go to see Every Which Way but Loose...I was like 4 years old at the time....never forgotten that. My sister and I to this day still say "right turn clyde!" to each other and laugh:-).
Not my dad. Anytime I'd walk into the living room he'd yell at me to 'get out'!! And that's only when he wasn't taking the belt to me. Nice way to treat an 8 year old. I'm not a huge fan of the so called 'greatest generation'!

One of the best films growing up I went to London to work one weekend and that's what was playing when I came home to my wife awesome song makes me sad but in a good way 👍
Such a beautiful song.Pure talent, unlike what you hear this day and time. All they are is American idol and the voice sound alikes.Love this movie and any which way you can! Back when they made great movies with great sound tracks.
Brings back memories. My older brother who was real timid, and nieve, who people took advantage of because of that, loved this movie and this song. He was a little "slow" so to speak, he only had one girlfriend his entire life for a short time and yes, she took advantage of him really bad and broke his heart. He ended up passing away at 56 yrs old from esophageal cancer. I miss him and this reminds me of him. I love you "Duke".
Great flim, very funny with great music. I watched it as a child with my parents now I watch it with my kids . Clint is the greatest and was always on in my house growing up at home in Ireland. Thanks for the memories Clint.
Charlie really captured a great sound here, poignant video dealing with lonliness in the movie, with Clint & Clyde walking around bars looking for company or appeasement. When I first played the movie, I was transfixed as an eight year old, captured by this song part in particular and saw myself doing this later in life...which turned out to be true in later life.
Funny. I just made a comment about how the music we grew up with painted a picture in our minds and hearts about how life should be or can be. Pure and good for the soul!
I had no idea in my first decade of life that a funny movie and a soundtrack which my dad then purchased would become such a strong memory of things good from my youth. Each passing decade of my life see me gravitating back to those times and understanding why my parents would also listen to music that used to sometimes annoy me because it was too outdated for me to appreciate then. It all makes sense now...
This song and this movie brings back so many and such good memories. I miss you mom an Dad! I miss you as well to my sister Gracie. I wish I could wake up out of this dream and be watching this movie with my whole family today.
One of the greatest love song ever sung. Charlie Rich is the only artist who could sing this song. One of his greatest hits-the late great Charlie Rich!!!!
This was classic music and a classic film, that never gets old, After seeing the first any which way you can, I started to learn how to box square handed like Philo, lol Such a good movie and awesome soundtrack, Don't find movies like this anymore,, But Clint is still kicking ass at 90,,God bless Philo Betto & Clyde

Legendary song i used to sing this as a kid....all my friends were thinking wtf lol...in the UK country music in 1980 was not known. So i educated them and shown them this film. Awesome
I was born two years after this movie came out and saw it in the late eighties as a kid, such a great funny movie, brings back a lot of memories and the soundtrack is terrific.
Remember the Sternwheeler ...The battle of Smurf Island...Ill never forget that night-- The smell of corn dogs, cotton candy as we rounded goldrusher bay...I didnt feel like fighting that night. None of us knew...t'would be a night we'd never forget...The uprising of the Smurfs...
I had a part of this song playing over & over in my head last week, and I didn't know the name of it, or where I remember hearing it from. Until just 2 days ago, I remembered it played in the movie Every Which Way But Loose. Me & my cousins watched this movie when it came out on either SELECTV, ONTV, or HBO cable television. ❤❤
I would say they are gone forever. I mean look they cant even make a movie like I think the early nineties did some damage with all the "comedy" with pauly shore I do like son in law but that's it I think mostly because of the girl. But comedy like this cant happen anymore it's all about sex and cussing though this has a bit it's not the main jokes
@Torrque I was born in the early 80s. I remember my dad taping the film of the Tv. now in my late 20s the film and songs still evoke strong memories of hot summers days without worry, takin' it easy. No computers, mobiles or political correctness, just decency and your own ideals of goodness. in what seems like a bigger world back then. Brilliant film Brilliant soundtrack
@28october19731 Your right. It's not just you, haha. Maybe I am biased though since I grew up in the 70's-80's. It just seems like such a fun time. Great music, movies, and of course, the birth of video games! I was b'71 & lived in San Antonio TV in the late 70's. During the "oil boom", they were building arcades, mini golf, go-kart, fast food, water parks, etc. Every weekend was so fun! I lived in Atlantic City NJ in the early 80's. The Boardwalk was so fun! HUGE video game arcades!

Still one of my favorites. Charlie Rich had such a smooth style.
Elvis told Charlie rich once before a show “ the world is about to see what I already knew “
My dad took me too....back in the days when men fathered their children and taught them how to be men,....such different times.
My dad loves clint.

Every Which Way But Loose soundtrack was a soundtrack for a generation of country music listeners!💯🙏🤞❤️✌️👍🖖
When the world was simple. Honor, mothers, animals, and broken hearts.
And black widows...
Charlie Rich {The Silver fox} had a great voice. And this is a brilliant track
you haven't lived until you've seen "every which way but loose" and "any which way you can". Legendary films with no CGI!
This movie and its soundtrack are one of my favorites. I pull it out and watch it whenever i need a feel-good pick-me-up.
I usually watch this show 3 or 4 times a year...I have it on DVD

great song, makes me remember the good ol dayz, with a tear in my eye!
With all due respect to Eddie Rabbitt, Whom I think had a great talent; this is my favorite song from that soundtrack.

That's so weird I felt the same way about the future. Trying to picture the future

I'm not a big country fan but Charlie had a great voice and this song matched up so well with Clint and Clyde in the movie
They don't make them like this anymore!. A great father and son movie when I was growing up.
i am irish but was in denver in the seventies great city such fond memories ,love clint, love america
I loved the 1970s best years of my life
Man I wasnt even hanging around yet heck I wasnt even thought of till at least 13 years later
Cold beer in a little place that's not even there any more the 70s wow it went fast .
Sad but true.
This is the only place you can listen to this great song. Spotify doesn't have the rights to a few Charlie Rich tunes.
Thanks!
Right turn Clyde!
Just keep Clyde away from the police cars lol
I love the Scene when Philo and Clyde are looking for Lynn Halsey Taylor and this song is playing in the background, Classic.

Not everyone is a country fan clearly. But music is subjective i guess 😢
I love the music I grew up listening to. It’s not vulgar or violent. It paints pictures in your mind of how life should be and it’s good for the soul.
The long haul truck driver''s song. Love it.
