Highest rate of suicide is for men who are going through or have gone through gray divorce. The system is setup to turn man into indentured servants that can never retire, given the fact that he has to pay for two households as opposed to one after retirement
If there are young kids involved and the issue of child support there may be some truth to that but even then statistically women are usually the ones who suffer worse financially post divorce

Funny I never read in a religion that marriage or divorce varies county by county judge by judge. I think I’ll pass on marriage. If women want “traditional” men, then they need to have a “traditional” Dowry. I’m fine as I am. Semi Retired at 49, house paid in full, a good savings and I won’t divorce myself.
The dowry was for women, ultimately. Now it is not that all women will bail on their marriage, but that they can, with full blessing from the government and even churches today.

It took me 10 years to recover from my one and only marriage, she's on her fourth...and she lost custody of my youngest and a kid from her second husband due to domestic violence,neglect, and alcohol abuse. She forever tainted marriage for me, and neither of my two kids have anything to do with her, which was completely their choice.

Yup.. 71... married to same woman for 50 years.. I have seen and endured it all.. The first 25 years for the sake of the children, the second 25 years because I didn't want to be divorce raped and end up living in my car under an overpass. I finally found the red pill in early 2019- it explained everything to me about her behavior.. Never get married.

I really want to build a life with someone, but too late to do that now (for me).
I'm a baby boomer who married in 1976 at age 25 and my then-wife at 23. We divorced in 1990 and I can tell you with 100% certainty that it was a direct result of the feminist movement. As for the lower divorce rates in recent times I think lower marriage rates have a direct effect on those numbers. The feminist movement has adversely affected society for decades to come.

Met a man at a conference last summer..hadn't seen him in 30 years...be was ready to retire...until his wife tells him she's bored/doesn't love him anymore & getting a divorce. She, her lawyer, the scam court & the state screwed him over! House, half his pension & savings plus alimony! He will have to work until he drops dead. ( or commits suicide) Believe me, I was shocked at his physically broken condition. The divorce had broken him. 30 plus years of marriage and then he loses everything..on one word from her....no-fault divorce.
Divorce is horrible but why would you want to be stuck in your house all day, in your last years of life, with someone who doesn't like you? Everyday would be awful and God forbid he needs someone to take care of him. What kind of care would he receive from a spouse that just doesn't like him. If she stayed just to keep the assets they would have both been miserable. Retirement is hard for couples when both parties love each other. Your around your spouse so much more. I can't imagine it with someone who hates you.

I divorced my ex-wife Lisa Thomas in 2017, after 17 years of marriage and 17 years of separation. I'm MGTOW since 2001, and my wife is great. No wife happy life, free-agent lifestyle: No serious relationship, cohabitation, no marriage, and no nagging and worries. Marriage has no value to men in the 21st Century.

Divorce are high does not matter what age they are. Divorce rate is over 60 percents.
Statistics say devorice rate is 69%. But that doesn't count the people who are separated or the people who decided to just run off without getting devoriced. I'm thinking it's probably 79% if you count those.
The thing about a gray divorce is thats its almost impossible for a man to get back on his feet again. You can recover if you`re in your thirties but imagine trying to start over again in your 60`s.......

My last long term relationship ended about 15 years ago and it cost me both mentally and financially. Now though, I'm financially secure, spend my time doing what makes me happy without continually trying to please someone who is nearly impossible to keep contented, no matter how hard you try. Now I have a good relationship with my son and when I turn my toes up he is getting all I have. Never again will I risk my happiness and my boy's inheritance for a woman and if anyone threatened that I'd kill them. Extreme threats require equally extreme responses.

What a piece of incompetent reporting. Even in 2012 modern divorce laws gave 1/2 of a couple's property/wealth/etc to each partner. In addition, divorced women could get social security based on their spouses work history. JHC both the reporter and so called writer were unedcuated idiots on the laws. There is no such thing called a CEO payout in a legal system that divides up wealth and property upon a divorce on an equal basis.

Divorce rates are only falling because people are not getting married anymore.
People didn't live past 55 or 60 years old in the past so death provided what "divorce" provides now as people are living so long well into their 80's. People are married too long probably not natural to only ever know one person for almost 60 years. People grow at different times and that can be a game changer in relationships unfortunately.

Divorce would only be declining (if that claim is really accurate) if fewer marriages are happening.
Most women have no commitment to the promises they give and that is what is harming it so much, especially with grey divorce. Few men are filing for these divorces.

Seems to me the only to accurately measure the divorce rate is to compare the percentage of marriages vs the percentage of those who married, then divorced.

It might be that some women loose interest in their husbands, especially sex, but the men don't loose interest in sex......so the men start looking around. Women without a husband are willing to take care of a man, at least temporarily, to get the man to leave his wife and take up with them.
