    Great video. The results are great. Sadly I will have to wait a bit to buy the Creality Ferret - this month I have to buy some heating oil for next winter... But maybe there is a sale at next 11.11 as there are often quite nice offers.
    Anyway, tinkering on my SV08 is my priority at the moment anyway. I sucessfully use my Revo hotend now, added BTT microprobe 2, added touchscreen, a new spoolholder (with bearings) as the original was delivered broken and wait for my enclosure. I am quite happy with the SV08. It´s definitly one of the 3 best printers I have (side on side with Qidi X-Max3 (with Misumi Bearings on z and Revo added) and my mk4).
    The only reason I wouldn´t call the SV08 the best printer is Qidi´s active heating up to 65°C (maybe with an enclosure it might be possible to add that to the SV08 ?) and the mk4 has more reliable filament loading (wich is helpfull for an MMU). The SV08´s printhead works well, but the extruder sometimes catches the filament only on second try. No problem for single colour prints, but for an ERCF I might change the extruder/toolhead.
    Imho Sovol should release an active chamber heater upgrade kit. This would be a great improvement for using ABS/ASA/Nylon/PC. For the hotend every Voron 2.4 toolhead might work with a bit modification. Actually the new Revo Voron PZ coldend might be the optimal coldend to try on the SV08, as allows to use the nozzle as a probe.

      Thank you for the detaield comment! My experience with the extruders is actually the other way around. I had a lot of trouble with the Qidi extruder, and almost never with the Sovols. Other than this I love my Qidi too. With an active chamber heater the SV08 could come closer the Q1 Pro's capabilities. It would still have the max temp advantage, but I am not really utilizing that.

      @@gerGoPrint3D The most problem with Qidi extruders is not the extruder itself but the configs. The unload sequence ends wit retracting 80mm fast (F-800). Changing this to retracting 20mm fast and than 60mm slow (F-200) solved all my problems with filament stuck on unload.
      My "problem" with the SV08 extruder just is inserting the filament into it, it not always goes to the heatbreak on first try if it is not perfectly straight. Manualy loading it is no problem at all, just a bit poking around. But definitly not optimal for automatic filament change.
      Best extruder so far is the Nextruder. Never ever had a problem ever there (nor on the mk3s with Revo), neither on unload nor reload.

      @@oleurgast730 Hm. I stopped retracting filament from the Qidi early on, since it was indeed clogging up, maybe for the reason you mention. Instead I followed their advise and only extruded forward, utilizing a self-printed manual filament cutter (I talk about it in my review video). Even with forward unloading it got clogged up with ASA so much, that I had to ask for a replacement hotend. With the new hotend I haven't experienced any clogging yet, so maybe it was some kind of faulty hotend in the original machine.
      Are you cutting the filament's end to 45° before feeding into the SV08? I found it so reliable that I can push in the new filament and just leave the automatic loading to heat, pull in and cool all on its own, and it never failed. I don't even check it now before starting to print...

      Simply change "G1 E-90 F800"
      to theese 3 lines and you can unload normaly without cutting:
      G1 E-20 F800
      G92 E0
      G1 E-70 F200
      Unloading the filament with F800 gives the tip not enough time to harden again. It is sqeezed by the gears, does not fit back through the extruders entry and gets tangled inside the feeder instead.
      You still want to pull the filament fast out of the meltzone (about 2cm), but than pull slower trough the heatbreak up to the gears. By using just a quarter of the speed here, the filament has enouch time to cool down and harden enough; the filament tip does not been sqeezed by the gears anymore and exits the feeder normaly.
      For the Sovol: As said, not a big deal if you load manually (and cut it in an angle). However, if you want automatic filament change with an ERCF without cut&poo, you should have a failiure rate below 1 promille.
      Changing to a Revo originally I did to allow a normal flow nozzle for multicolour, as you can get a nice filament tip using Prusa´s ramping profiles there. So much lest waste (and time) compared to the cut&poo method used on high flow hotends.
      For comparision: Colourchange on an MMU3 takes about 40 seconds (including primetower). On an X1C its 1:45 to 2:00 min. Waste with cut&poo is about 2 to 5 times as much on an cut&poo system...
      Imho the SV08 with Revo hotend and ERCF (or Armour turtels 8-Track system, but it´s still in alpha version) would be the much better alternative to Bambulabs AMS / Anycubics ACE pro. If the extruder loads reliable without cutting the filament in an angle first every time.
      Do not misunderstand: I am very happy with the SV08. But of course there are always ways to improve. At the moment I think about a stealthburner with Voron Revo PZ and Gallileo 2 extruder. This obviously cost quite a bit, if you include the different nozzles (normal flow, high flow, ObXidian), and the ERCF. It costs more as the printer itself. However, I personally am more into 3d-printer-tinkering than 3d printing...

    Were the 0.2, 0.6 and 0.8 nozzles the grub screwed type? Or are we better off getting the hardened screw in nozzle and fitting different size nozzles to that?

      They are just the press fit types. Yes, I am a little bit worried about them, but I have a lot of SV06+/SV07/+ type of nozzles in different sizes, now I can use them, at least I hope

    Just recently was thinking about getting a 3d scanner to scan and print people's faces, what do you think about the cr ferret? Undecided between this and the Revopoint inspire

      On paper they indeed look similar. In specs the Inspire doesn't seem to support large objects, only small and medium. But I am not toally sold on the Ferrets large capabilities either. The Ferret might also not be the best for small items and technical scans, but if your main focus is organic objects and people, all I can say it works very well for me. As you can probably tell from the video, I was very happy with the person scanning abilities. Not having access to the Inspire this is all I can say.

      @@gerGoPrint3D Also, will the Ferret not work if I have a wifi 5 router? Or is the convertor doing the job of connecting the ferret from wifi6 to 5?
      Found a pretty good deal on a new Revopoint Pop 2, I was going towards the ferret though but if I can't connect it to internet that would be a deal breaker

      @@andrewhax The ferret is not connecting to your router. The computer needs to connect directly to the Ferret (it will show up as a selectable wifi network) While you are connected to the Ferret, you will not have internet, unless you have a secondary network connection (wired or wireless). That's why I recommend getting a seondary wifi adapter, ideally a Wifi 6 adapter.
