To be honest when Wheein left RBW , I had hoped she would go to agencies which have been active for a long time n well established for stability reasons n so honestly I never wanted her to go to the Live

I feel like Mamamoo+ is pushing their own promo. This is a project they plan to continue, so they are making a real promo effort. Many Korean people are against mandatory service. There are lots efforts to change TBE rule happen. It is starting to gain traction.

I imagine that if the company can’t function, then it can’t uphold its side of the contract, and therefore Wheein will have a clear legal basis for leaving. But I also fully expect that Ravi will make it easy for her, and that there will not be any legal fight. I worry about what’ll happen with Wheein’s next album, since I imagine that she and Ravi have put a lot of work into it already. I’ve long believed that “Whee” and “In the Mood” (if that’s what it was going to be called) were conceived as a pair of contrasting albums to showcase Wheein’s versatility. Now I’d guess all those plans are suspended. Maybe the existing work can be taken over by a new label and producers, with Ravi’s blessing. We’ll have to see what happens.
I’m encouraged by Wheein’s birthday live-stream. She talks briefly about the new album; she was responding to a question requesting spoilers, and gave us a status update without actual spoilers. The title track is and some of the B-sides have completed their recording sessions. She’s not completely satisfied yet, and will need more time working on the album before she’s ready to release it, so she asks us to be patient. She has also been recording more UA-cam videos in the breaks between giving concerts. It sounds like things have been moving along nicely. It sounds to me that there’s a process in place and that the album will come out when it’s ready, independently of what’s going on with Ravi.
