Stargate Sliders. Lol For those that don't know what Sliders is, there was a TV show in the late 90s about a guy and group that ended up traveling to different universes. Some scary and disturbing, others just following an alternate path. 5 seasons of a mostly good show.
Bro, with the amount of funding going into this project, you'd think they'd better equip their personnel. Nobody has night vision or thermal vision. The stories are amazing, RIP the security guys.
Love the story but can't ignore the fact that 217 and 312 are both Illinois area codes Springfield and Downtown Chicago are both Hellish worlds indeed!
Maybe Springfield because there's pretty much nothing down there except Illinois capital. However as someone who is born and raised in the 312... You are out of your mind. Chicago is one of the best cities in the country. We have hands down the best skyline in the country. Food, music, art festivals non stop. Some of the best restaurants around with all different types of food. We live lakefront. We have an open air drug market. I can keep going on and on... lol.
The Doc probably admired earth 217 and it’s lack of ethics and morals of science Edit: It is interesting that they avoided the meeting your doppelgänger trope until the last earth as that happens so much sooner in most multiverse stories. I like that.

Would love to find out the history of those worlds and what caused that world to decend in depravity and human sacrifice. This needs to be an ongoing series because there are so many divergent points throughout history that could have changed things. Love to see worlds where mass extinction never happen and new life evolved and emerged.

To be honest, I find this story way more horrifying and haunting than many of those 'eldritch horror' stories. Yeah, yeah, terrible monsters from beyond which will drive you mad even by just looking at them and all that, but at least to me, those things sound scary, but are waaay to unimaginable. The point of eldritch beings is that they are just so incomprehensible and beyond our understanding - which makes them scary, true, but something that will not stick with you at the same time for this very reason. This story though... nothing depicted here has _not_ already committed by humans, so this is much more imaginable and relatable and thus, much more scary.
You find this bland story exciting? A mix of stargate and return to castle wolfenstein. Is there anyone creative left in the US or only consoomers? Chat-GPT could come up with something more creative than that waste of time here.

Yeah and it could happen again , people don't understand... We need our guns . And I worry greatly for countries that have removed civilian gun ownership. The citizens are in an unsalvageable situation. Even if the government is perfect and not corrupt and maintaining rights it promises, that doesn't last forever. It WONT last forever. On a long enough timescale, we can assume tyranny is inevitable. We are already immensely outgunned by our government, Once our guns are gone, the situation will be nearly unsalvageable and we would be vulnerable to total control and tyranny, because too many are dependent on the government now. Almost no one has the know to live completely independent from society. That alone is already dangerous, because people WILL choose reliance and subservience to a tyrannical system that abuses and controls them , over guaranteed death and suffering. It's just... People are blind to this . I'm not crazy. This is a real thing, that happens . And will certainly happen again , unless we can stop it or the threat of stopping it can prevent it ...

Bro... Your narration is incredible, and this story is so sick! This popped up on recommended and boy am I glad. One bit of constructive criticism if I may good sir. I had to slow the playback to .75x to really absorb the story and be able to really pay attention. Keep in mind I am a simpleton and very dumb, but you are a very fast talker, well spoken at that. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind slowin down just a tick on your reads so the dummies like me can keep up lol. I mean no offense, and once again savage narration man keep em comin. Stories like this are the best. You're gonna watch the subs pour in for certain!
Part 1 was utilizing a voice clone AI for the narration portion. I did not use that again in any of my other videos or even in part 2. Hope that it improved the experience for you. I won't be using a voice clone AI again

Spoilers. Just have to say the part with Helen really strongly lacked subtly. For the writer, if you are going to add a love interest to kill off, add the character before the story that kills them off, and not just in a brief mention actually get the audience to know them a bit. Plus the number of red flags were too damn high, biggest one being This will be my last mission, the last day before retirement trope is incredibly obvious. The death flags were so frequent I honestly hoped you wouldn't kill them off, not because I really cared for the character but because killing them off would be the most expected thing. A better choice if you wanted to keep the story mostly intact, is have them survive, but the experience itself change them and change their mind about leaving. Or even just to improve their death if commited to killing them off, drop most of the flags, the protagonist being alone telling the story is foreshadowing enough with much more making it too predictable, and have their death actively be caused by their character flaw rather than just simply being the same thing the protagonist is doing just with less luck. Such as have their sense of adventure getting them killed when trying to act on it. Plus also a few minor things like saying someone has sorrowful eyes then sorrowfully explaining something right after, you already said they were the thing, don't need to say it twice. There are other flaws as well, but if you were to address those ones or keep this in mind in the future it would go a long way to helping this story and future ones. As it stands right now, the biggest issue there is that your intent with the character's is obvious to the reader, which in turn makes the story rather boring, if you already know what the writer is going to do before you read it, it takes a lot of the enjoyment out of the story when things play out that exact way. That's how I see things at least, you could entirely disagree with me as a random person on the internet, or not even see this depending on if you even check comments on videos narrating your stories. But I hope you do and this helps.

I'm not going to lie to you I actually predicted that the doc would betray them. Also, I predicted that Helen was going to die the moment she and the main character had their short comfort before they landed into Earth 312 and was left unsurprised. It lacked a bit of substance in which it could've so I agree with this. Also, this is constructive criticism, not so much as "picking it apart" bc while I did sympathize with what the main character went through, I felt that it could've been stronger for me if improvements on the story were made.

So there was no real reason for the current remake concerning copyrights. And because The Little Mermaid is a classic story, that still doesn't stop other people from making their own version of the story. The "remakes" of shows from the 70s and 80s would still be under copyright for 20 to 30 years yet. Hollywood and the big studios are stuck interacting in one big circle and have totally ran out of new ideas. Add to that, thinking they can milk old stories for more money through wokeness.

How come I get the feeling that Steiner will pop up again, but with a changed mindset. I say this because if the people of 217 (I think) start up their own TDP Department and start to visit the more VICIOUS of dimensions, there'll be a change of philosophy in that dimension due to the hardships they go through. Side note: Steiner might have thought of trans-planetary instead of trans-dimension. Personally, I think that there should be a epilogue, maybe a government agent affiliated with the program finding the story and explaining that the 3 dimensions mentioned somehow met up and at the facility and started to attack each other.

Honestly I wouldn't be afraid. Obviously in this story the universe works as a multiverse, and the chances of the Aryans or the Satanists that he met appearing in his universe is nearly infinitly small. Basically it is infinitly small, and even if they did get a direct link and find his universe, it's not like they can invade your world through a tiny door . It would be way easy to counter, we could build military rquiptfaster than they could send it through, and maybe you could just send one missile through and it blows up their portal facility . It would just be logistically improbable to be win a war through a door. Even a large door, even a giant 100m door, you're just way too limited. Even with better technology, and a larger military arsenal and more troops, you'd just get destroyed as you go in. Doesn't seem to be feasible for those dystopian societies to be able to make a portal that can transport an entire military assault. They would have the same issues as us, not enough energy and money. Until a few hundred years have passed maybe? Idk , the threat isn't that great really

How come I get the feeling that Steiner will pop up again, but with a changed mindset. I say this because if the people of 217 (I think) start up their own TDP Department and start to visit the more VICIOUS of dimensions, there'll be a change of philosophy in that dimension due to the hardships they go through. Side note: Steiner might have thought of trans-planetary instead of trans-dimension. Personally, I think that there should be a epilogue, maybe a government agent affiliated with the program finding the story and explaining that the 3 dimensions mentioned somehow met up and at the facility and started to attack each other.
Is no one gonna mention how the female voices sound like AI? or how there's virtually no emotion in the reading? Beyond that great story

Honestly I wouldn't be afraid. Obviously in this story the universe works as a multiverse, and the chances of the Aryans or the Satanists that he met appearing in his universe is nearly infinitly small. Basically it is infinitly small, and even if they did get a direct link and find his universe, it's not like they can invade your world through a tiny door . It would be way easy to counter, we could build military rquiptfaster than they could send it through, and maybe you could just send one missile through and it blows up their portal facility . It would just be logistically improbable to be win a war through a door. Even a large door, even a giant 100m door, you're just way too limited. Even with better technology, and a larger military arsenal and more troops, you'd just get destroyed as you go in. Doesn't seem to be feasible for those dystopian societies to be able to make a portal that can transport an entire military assault. They would have the same issues as us, not enough energy and money. Until a few hundred years have passed maybe? Idk , the threat isn't that great really
