Reminds of how Verner Voss died. He fought against 8 British aces before going down, many historians believe he got too greedy and thought he could get more kills and survive.
I suppose it also could have been wing damage to your 109 due to the head-on pass with the P-47? It's a good thing you were up against P-47s in the first place - because the Il-2 performance flight modeling for the P-47 is SO broken that it's a joke. In Il-2, even the Po-2 seems to perform better than the P-47 (only a slight exaggeration).

The attack was all wrong; the transports were flying staggered and trailing along a single line of advance; making them most vulnerable to an attack coming from their 4 o'clock, presenting the largest sight picture to the 109's gunsight; flying along the line of advance he could attack all four transports one after the other as they came in range. A stern on attack would present the smallest profile, a short run-in due to the speed differential with the shortest time to shoot, one target at a time, instead of four targets. He had target fixation, rather than self-preservation flying to the strengths of his aircraft- speed, climb and maneuverability. He should have known that he was only going to get two chances. He should have started this fight by increasing power, getting ahead of the formation, pulling for altitude, looking for top cover escorts, hard bank to right, rolling inverted to ckeck for low cover and transports, then set up recovery for gun run. Trim aircraft nose down to put the guns on target while flying level across the formation at high speed. Flying across the formation turns it from a point attack to a strafing attack. The transports are flying close enough that the range from one ship to the other, that by side-slipping would permit a continuous burst of approximately five seconds. The cannons have an effective range of 300 yards, the machine guns, maybe 800 yards, and against a thin skin c-47, leading the targets would have allowed misses to run to the next target, with deft rudder control. They would have had the sh** shot out of them. Even if they didn't go down, they would have been hurting. Pull into climb and bank, rolling out checking for escorts, determine benefit to attack transports again versus risk of engaging fighters. It wouldn't be necessary to destroy the transports in air if they had been shot up enough to render the cargo/troops aboard combat ineffective. The Germans as this point in the war had more aircraft than they had pilots. From a Luftwaffe pilot's perspective, I wouldn't hang my ass out there with Jabo's in the neighborhood, just to shoot up a transport plane. Getting killed in action does have it's priorities, dying stupid isn't one of them. I realize this is fun and games, and oh's and ah's for the graphics, but I have questions about the relative speed of the elements. They seem awfully slow to me, especially in closing rates. On the Me-262 feature the jets were just creeping along with a realistic speed differential of 150 to 200mph. Anyway, I do thank you and realize you are flogging yourself beyond my understanding to get even better at it, and I appreciate it. I'm 75 and have studied this subject since I was 10 years and what is available nowadays blows my mind!
Ваша проблема почему так плохо получается збить самолёты 1 вы не уменшаете скорость 2 стрелять надо по двигателям 3 стараться приземлить машину уменьшать скорость и выпускать шасси 4 чем выше скорость чем выше вероятность что у самолёта будут отрываться крылья и все остальное

Drive? They fly lol, if you know the basic control surfaces of An airplane, its easy flying on PC
I have seen more than one video where when the pilot ejects, the canopy comes off but the pilot does not jump. I am assuming this is a glitch currently in IL2. It needs to be fixed.
Its actually not a glitch, the IL-2 factors multiple things into bailing out. Like movement of the plane, G forces acting on the pilot, injury, etc. Its suppose to be a more realistic simulator of bailing out (where the pilot couldn't always make it out).
@@TJ3 If it is suppose to be more realistic, pilots have said you have a higher chance of bouncing off the tail when bailing out. I have never seen a pilot on IL2 hit the tail yet. Now that is realistic.
Why could you not bail out?
If you watch closely, you can see me pull off the cockpit and try to bail, but the G-forces or motion of the plane did not allow me to get out of the cockpit. Or possibly, I just didn't have enough time!

Love the mission too unrealistic, you have a oil leak and the P47 can't finish you off REALLY!!!! That's extremely unusual for a novice not to attack.
