After watching an earlier video I went ahead and bought the Mirka. My SIL and I just did his long and tall Sprinter van. We had two 5" 15mm tools and the Mirka. He started with the 5" and my intension was to go ahead and use the 3" where needed and go to the second 5". I ended up barely using the second 5" and used the 3" far more than I thought I would. It is so smooth and so quiet I think on normal size vehicles I'd be tempted to use it on the whole vehicle. I agree that it is the best; I love it. Could they improve it? Yes. Add a locking trigger and bring the lowest speed down to 3000 for color sanding. I never got anywhere near its highest speed. All in all an awesome tool.

I’ve been looking for a 3 inch for the longest time now. Always wanted the flex PXE 80 and I know Matt is not a fan. Matt had mentioned in he’s last video that he’s trying to get the Mirka price reduced if I understood him correctly . I don’t do detailing professionally just a diy. I would be using this on my truck and motorcycle hopefully he can get it done.

It's expensive, but worth every penny. We are trying to get a price reduction in the future. If you are going to buy any 3 inch polisher, the Mirka is the way to go.

I don’t doubt the mirka is smoother or quieter than the rupes you will be able to achieve the same results with either tool.
