I always loved Prong but I stopped after "Cleansing" with their discography. Still a great live band though. Broken Bones are so good in combining Hardcore/Punk and Thrash!
Great response to Tom here Jurgen! Need to listen to some Prong and Exhumer. I have Feel the fire, just picked it up with the F u EP. Haven't had time to spin it yet though. I only know Heavy Metal Maniac from Annihilator doing a cover of it, it's a great song and I need to check out the original. The Razors Edge is an AC/DC album I haven't listened to, except for the obvious song Thunderstruck! I know that song very well, used to listen to it a lot when I first got into music. Nice one man 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@albertampel4175 That's cool, I'll definitely have to check it out! Ah wow that's awesome, I'm seeing them for the first and last time in July at Wembley! Cannot wait! I'll be listening to some more AC/DC before then! 😁🤘🏻
Great call with ‘Beg To Differ’ Jürgen… it’s definitely the best song on that album imo too! Very fitting to show only original pressings for Thomas… he’ll appreciate that for sure!🤘🏻
That Orchid album looks cool. I might have checked them out once before. The cover looks familiar. I should revisit them. Cool to see Razor’s Edge! I finally bought it last year, and yes, the title track does stand out!
Cool video, thanks! Totally agree about the Feel The Fire title track (best Overkill album in my opinion, unmatched) and the Hallows Eve title track. Cool that you pulled up that Broken Bones: I have always been more on the punk side of things, a punk loving metal really, and metalpunk records like FOAD are a feast for my ears. Do you like English Dogs? Their metal stuff, Where Legends Began and Forward Into battle are killer.
Hi Jurgen!!! cool response to Thomas challenge..... i think you'tr right about Maiden, tittle songs aren't always the best tracks maybe "Fear of the Dark" and "Brave New World". A couple of Motorhead albums came to mind, also Krokus "Headhunter". That's and awesome Exumer album. cheers and be well
I have 6 of these that you showed and I agree with 5 of them but Valhalla can’t be beaten for me🤘🤘 I can also go without listening to thunderstruck ever again 😂
Death and insanity is one of the few songs that I hear in my head when I read the song title... I met a real metal head in amoeba in San Francisco when I was a kid and I asked him what are a few records I should get as a beginner.. that day I bought show no mercy seven churches sentence to death and death and insanity
@@albertampel4175 Awesome - I have a nothing signed but I do seem to have an addiction to buying Mekong Delta stuff - the original LP+ CD, the re-issue LP (plus a test pressing of that - not sure why I did not ask Ralf to sign that!), the Mexican wooden CD boxset, the poster flag, the old Drakkar Promotions shirt, the current shirt from the Ukrainian label...
@@ragingsteelrecords Hahaha... holy s**t! Ok ok, I LIKE the album, you seem to LOVE it! What do you think about the last three records? I always liked what Ralf did soundwise with other bands, he always managed to get a cool sound out of 2nd or 3rd class German Metal bands in the 80s. What he did with Kreator´s Flag Of Hate EP is pure genius! THAT f**kin´ guitar sound!!! Although I´m from Germany I never managed to see them live... damn! The first gigs they played were for the "Dances..." record with Doug on vocals. Now I would give an arm and/or a leg to have witnessed that! I´ve waited for decades for them to appear on one of the countless German summer festivals... never happened...
@@albertampel4175 Yeah, seeing Ralf Hubert as engineer or producer on a record was a blind buy for me in the late 80's when I had figured out you can't go wrong with anything him or Harris Johns was involved in! 'Awakening of the Gods' is still my favourite Kreator song of all time, just incredible! I have the poster from the first concert - that 'Das Conzert' poster. If we had the internet back then I would would have gone but I only read about it in a zine afterwards. My 19 year old self had the money and everything then, I could have swung it! That is one of the reasons why I am not missing Voivod + the Montreal Symphony in January! And the next time Mekong Delta play I will be there too, mandatory journey! I think 'Tales of a Future Past' is absolutely brilliant. One of my favourite albums of the 2020s - I don't formally keep track of that kind of stuff, but you can tell by the amount of times you go back to playing an album. That and Wo Fat's latest, on regular rotation for me. I don't think the prior 'return' albums are quite as good As 'Tales...' but they are all really enjoyable for me. My 'In a Mirror Darkly' LP is signed by Ralf, I have been on his email list for years and he takes care of us crazy ones, haha!
I don't know most of these ones. I agree with The Razors Edge though. I probably agree with that Prong one too but I don't like that album much at all. I'll get stuck into that Exumer when it arrives though. 🤘
Orchid are supposedly active, but they haven't released anything in 9yrs. Shame. Love that band. Exciter will be here in July with Midnight. Should be a crazy show. And I had just pulled out that Blind Guardian to spin.
Maybe Orchid just have written all Sabbath tunes Sabbath never wrote and they ran out of steam, hahaha... I´d love to see them live again though! I saw Exciter with the OG lineup once in 2017 or 2018 when they reunited for a shor period.
Excellent choices Jürgen!! Yes, Death & Insanity sticks in your head, now I need to go pull that one out and give it a spin
Thank you! Well, mission accomplished I´d say, hahaha....
Great response, Jurgen. That Prong album is excellent. Broken Bones, you don't hear many people speak about them.
I always loved Prong but I stopped after "Cleansing" with their discography. Still a great live band though. Broken Bones are so good in combining Hardcore/Punk and Thrash!
That Orchid Capricorn is a killer album. I never see anybody talk about that album.
I have all of their stuff on vinyl, LPs, EPs, 10", ... I´ve seen them live four times as well.
@@albertampel4175 The lead vocalist did some tattoos on my old bands vocalist years ago.

Great response there Jurgen. Nice idea to only use original presses. Good call with the razors edge, great song and very much overlooked.

I love English Dogs! Their "Metalmorphosis" EP is great as well. I´ve done a video on my Hardcore background some months ago....

I did not find a Motörhead album where I like the title track the most, well, maybe "Iron Fist". "Headhunter" I do agree!
I have 6 of these that you showed and I agree with 5 of them but Valhalla can’t be beaten for me🤘🤘 I can also go without listening to thunderstruck ever again 😂
"Vanillah" is a great song but a bit overplayed. I´ve seen Blind Guardian 16 times and the always played it, hahahaha....
Great response Jürgen. Exumer and Overkill my favorites here. Heavy Metal Maniac, one of the best album titles ever, killer song as well. Cheers. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thanx! That thread was not too hard but I really had to look deep into the collection.

Always good to see some Exciter, but I’ve got to go with Iron Dogs on that one! Great shirt, definitely in the German Big 6 of thrash 🍻 Cheers brother
Hahaha... to be honest, I never play single songs from "Heavy Metal Maniac"... it´s always the full album! Great album! Thank you for watching!
Hi Jurgen! Heavy Metal Maniac rule!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Yes, indeed it does!!! I´ve seen them live with the OG linup...!!!
Blind Guardian choice was excellent! But, this thread begs to have Mekong Delta's 'Dances of Death' included, what a song!!!
I totally forgot about "Dances Of Death", hahaha... I have the OG vinyl, a signed CD and the shirt... see how much I like them??? Hahahaha....
