    I finally learned last week that I have low iron and it's changed my life. Doctors always thought I had anxiety but I knew anxiety alone couldn't cause that much suffering. Especially the hair thinning and joint pain. I'm so grateful.

    This method sounds like a "manual" process for people who don't have access to a juicer or food processor. What if I extracted the berry juice and added the fresh pineapple juice?
    The berry juice would be highly concentrated in proportion to the par-boil "stock". Maybe it would be enough for three-500ml servings....going to try it!

      The berries will still be blended or juiced along with the pineapple with the same water that was drained and allowed to cool...
      It is stated to boil hot water and pour over the berries and allow to sit for like 5 minutes just to make it parboiled ...
      After that you drain the hot water into a cup or bowl and allow the hot water to cool...
      The essence of draining the hot water out of the berries is to let it cool before you blend with it ....
      If you blend or juice it with the hot water it will render the Vitamin C in the Pineapple useless as it where ...
      And the Vitamin C is needed for Effective absorption of the Iron gotten from the berries .....

      @songsabai3794 3 роки тому +1

      @@helenomotayo1 Thanks for that Helen.
      I've since moved forward and have extracted the essence with a masticating juicer. 500g of berries will yield 250ml of bitter dark juice,I then add 750ml of pineapple juice.
      I take it in 50ml shots over the course of the day. I figure this masticating method yields far more concentration than the parboil-method, So less berries can be used. The taste is strong but o.k in small doses - I like it!

I got a small, but very potent amount of brown, thick 'juice' that I mixed with fresh pineapple to a total volume of 170ml. Not much,but very strong. The pineapple flavor will cover up the taste of anything. Even my 11yr.old daughter liked it in spite of the bitter after taste.
      I then par-boiled the extract from the juicer, added pineapple and had a full size drink from that. I recommend to chill the juice well before consuming it.
