- Built on a 3,000 sq.ft. area, this two-storeyed home in Bengaluru, Karnataka is inspired from the old colonial homes of Kolkata. The plot size allows for thoughtful zoning and landscaping, creating outdoor spaces in front and in rear that connect with the interior.
Architect took this as a challenge and aimed to achieve a space that reminds of Kolkata and highlight the Colonial influences.
Taking into consideration the site’s attributes, the house has been created with a front yard and a backyard. While the rooms are designed thoughtfully, the entrance, dining space, living area and terrace create an inviting environment collectively.

The recessed living area creates a double height space which has elements like the cornice, rot iron balustrade, cane and brass detail panels and a chandelier that fits perfectly with the interiors of the home.

Yep, there is constant disconnection
That's deliberate. Do watch their other videos. They want you to subscribe to their website in order to get a clear picture of the project.

I love this design… practical and elegant❤
Pleasantly aesthetic home. ❤
Architects have a hard job to manage aesthetic with client needs and demands.
Personally, and constructive criticism - i feel there is too much interest everywhere, too many finishes colors...love the floors and inlay work ( v indian ) ...if i was a client i would have prefered openplan as opposed to too mand small places which dont feel that coherent.
On a positive note, i can see the passion the the architects voice and her throwing everything at it... think sometimes Architects need to tell clients , they need to cut back because their demands will reflect in the end finish.
Apologies if i have been direct . Just expressed some thoughts without an iota of disregard, disrespect, or negatively.
matlab kuch bhi
my all time favorite Raj Comics collections. Nagraj and Dhruv. this is really cool.
Beautiful home.
liked the idea of different levels at ground floor but it made living area small and seating is placed so near to the TV. however kid's room was designed nicely.
Veey thoughtful planning and execution. Kudos to the team.
Beautiful home ❤

the children's room looks completely out of place in the house, which maintains a rustic aesthetic

Generally per square feet cost is 3500 to 5000. It includes construction, interiors, furnitures.
No vastu as per kitchen
Disagree
What is kolkata home.... ? There is nothing Kolkata ...it was only British architecture or Little older influence of persian. There is nothing authentic kolkata architecture. Takeout that kolkata is just slum simple.
