Brilliant little vid. This is what 'real-life' video is all about, of course sound and lighting aren't brilliant, the service is done outside where most of us have to work and to be able to film whilst faffing with clips and plastic shapes - top job. This is why we are charged an arm and a leg, just bought a 2009 Executive model, its last oil service (Inc filters as you've done) was £320 (late 2019) ⅔ of which is labour and recycling old oil etc. Great saving for a mornings work not to mention the satisfaction on yer face. Many thanks & top job! (if you get to the diesel filter pls post!) 👍🏻
What a fantastic how to vid, thanks J0ker13 I’ll be doing my 2014 1.6HDI Picasso myself now and sod the rip off garage charges. The oil filter change seems a right palaver doesn’t it but the air and pollen filters are fairly straight forward. Top man 👍
Thanks for the video, I cant find any other videos for the 2007 to 2019 picasso c3. Most c3's are similar but not quite the same. Unfortunately I found your video after I did my own service. I have to agree putting the oil filter in first is much easier and then the cap.
Hi,/just saw your video, very compressive. Did you have any difficulty reading the dipstick after doing the oil change. Have a borrowed C3 at the moment, but can’t seem to get a proper reading off the dipstick?
Hi there, glad you found a video of use when the oil is new. Obviously it is a clear golden honey colour. You’ve only got to run the engine for a few minutes for it to go black. You should then have no trouble reading the dipstick and no I didn’t have any trouble reading the dipstick when the oil was originally put in.
Just dont put the oil filter in first and tighten the cap over it. Tried it, felt tight- oil everywhere. Had to redo it old way putting filter incap, lining it up and tighten down. Shuda dunit my way like old frankie said.
Hi there hopefully the video has helped I’m sorry I don’t have a workshop manual and don’t know what the torque wrench setting is for the sump plug it is always a good idea to replace the washer some would even say replace the sump plug I am just a home DIY maintenance man unfortunately and Haynes workshop manual is not available the video was made just to be informative as a guide purpose only thank you for your question
I wouldn’t like to recommend which oil as I don’t know which model of car you had for years, but if it helps you with a website that will direct you to the correct oil and the amount you need www.opieoils.co.uk
Hello the oil filter when you change advice to place it by hand inside the filter holder then screw the cover on it? or do you press it into the lid and then screw it in?
Hi I’ve tried it both ways the first way I tried it was inserting it oil filter into the canister then on this oil change decided to insert the oil filter into the housing of the engine and then put the canister housing over the top I found the second method the best so my advice would be insert the oil filter into the engine and then screw the canister on
@@1313mark1313 Thanks for the answer, in fact I too did like you! first I inserted the new filter inside the motor housing and then after I screwed the top, and I must say it was easier! the only thing I hope that by doing so it is locked equally well since we did not fit it before the top as is usually done

Hi JOkerjag one of the better videos of how to. How about doing the Diesel filter next.
Thankyou for the great vid, saved me no end of time trying to find the filter housing.
You are a very good teacher! Thanks!
Thanks ❤️
When the oil filter housing is difficult to get at, I suspect that many garages don't actually change them.
That’s why I always like to do it myself I have caught a main dealer doing exactly that

Have you done the diesel fuel filter change? A video on that would be great.
Seb H As I carry out work on this car I will film it and put it on UA-cam
Top job very clear! Thanks man 💪
Brilliant video
Thank you so much I hope it helped
that looks very similar to a ford duratec 1.6 diesel oil filter change. are the engines used by citroen?
Sorry, I don’t know

What is the torque setting for the sump plug and do you not replace the sump plug washer ?

Just make sure that there is no oil leaks from the housing and you should be good to go

yes, in fact, I checked and everything is ok
Nice one mate I hope the video helps you
Pity about the volume/sound
I don’t appear to find any fault with the volume thanks for your question
Stupid design, hate Citroens for a reason🤡🤡
I agree with you on the design I must say mines been very reliable
