Politically, maybe. The separatists however were EXTREMELY brutal in their tactics. See literally everything General Grievous did off-screen for evidence.
@@blackspec1855very much so. He did incredible on the original trilogy but the music in the prequels is just on a whole other level. You can literally feel his growth and amassed experience and a composer and deep familiarity with star wars as a story in it all.
I prefer the original because it symbolizes how both sides of the war are played by the same person. The clones and the droids are two manufactured armies under the control of Sidious
Obi Wan: "My new empire?" Obi Wan: "Don't make me kill me" Obi Wan: "Obi Wan my allegiance is to the republic to democracy" Obi Wan: "If I am not with me, then I am my enemy" Obi Wan: "Only a sith deals in absolutes, I will do what I must" Obi Wan: "I will try"
Both versions are fantastic for different reasons. The original is cool to see/hear because the first few beats of the score make it sound like it's about to cut to the Imperial March any second before the last-minute switch to the Droid Invasion. :) The rescored version works because of the more heroic sound.
@syed jawad I know I’m like eight months late replying to this, but you basically nailed it on the head. The first one is symbolic of Palpatine playing both sides!
Darth Asssen you can see in the phantom menace when battle droids fight gungans, in the first moment they need to unfold, then they march and fight (I always love that scene)
Also call it Mandela Effect, but when I saw Revenge of the Sith in theaters as a little kid back in 2005, when Anakin and the clones marched on the Jedi Temple, I distinctly remember hearing the droid invasion march from this scene. Weird
This scene and the ROTS march on the Jedi Temple both used themes normally associated with the Confederacy, so it's easy to get them mixed up in memory.
Actually, both of these themes are associated with Confederacy, and thus mysteriously reappear in clone scenes: Droid Invasion in this segment, and The Arena in ROTS's march on the Jedi Temple. I guess John Williams was trying to show that both the clone army and the Confederacy were ultimately one and the same as Palpatine's puppets. Personally, I'd prefer the Republic rendition of the Imperial March from the AOTC's finale here, but then it would be a musical "spoiler" for the later scene. Although, what's to spoil, it was pretty clear where things were going with clone/stormtroopers from the moment you see them.
I remember in Rebels, Rex himself remarked about important winning the Clone Wars was not only to the droid army's programming, but also his own too. It shows that deep down, the clones too recognise and largely accepted that they're not too different from the droid army in terms of their creation and intended purpose.
The fact the two songs sound similar isn't a coincidence. Actually compare this scene with the Droids unfolding on Naboo. "If droids could think, there would be none of us here would there?" - Obi Wan Kenobi "Clones can think creatively. You will find that they are immensely superior to droids." - Lama Su
Crazy how the movies make the clones look no different than the droids. Perfectly synced movement like they were programmed. Instead of programming they were “trained”
The seperatists theme is dramatic, which also resembles how proud the kaminoans are. The republic theme is just that raw powerful theme resembling clones bred to defend the republic and destroy everything that threatens their side.
Attack of the clones has its flaws but for nostalgias sake it certainly holds a special place in my heart. I thought this scene and him fighting jango fett was just the coolest thing ever
I thought it was weird at first how they used the regular Droid March here for the clones, but now I like how it symbolizes how the sides are more alike than they want to acknowledge.
In AOTC the clone army track is scored as "love pledge ans the arena". In was then rescored for ROTS for the order 66 when anakin enters the jedi temple with 501st legion
I'm pretty sure the main idea behind the droid theme playing is to draw a parallel between the CIS mass manufactured droids and the mass manufactured clones.
The trade federation theme fits better for me, not because of what the theme means, but for the actual way it sounds. The federation theme sounds like a climactic and shocking reveal, monumental in scope, but the republic March theme sounds like a build up to something more.
I love the subtle discrepancies in this like not all of the clones are in snyc like some are too fast others are too slow l, some arent in step. The animators could have made them all in snyc but they chose not to so to show them as individuals. Cool little details
Correction.. it's not "the republic army theme".. it's actually the geonosis arena battle (the part with the animals, before the jedi arrives).. then a part of that track (the peack of the track, actually) was re used to fill in the scene where anakin march to the jedi temple..
I just wanna play the menacing thing without the old dramatic effect sounds randomly playing through it but I can't find it.. Like this part doesn't have it in it.. But it's only a few seconds.. The full thing has those noises wich annoy me and make me think of old tom and Jerry videos as if Tom almost catches Jerry

I wish to mention that this isn't the GAR theme, it's "the arena", first used in AOTC during the scenes in the arena, and later used to stellar effect during the temple march. While I think it's the better theme in general, I think the OG theme fits better.

They can't stop it. They could try but they would slow it down at best. Much nuclear proliferation cloning and genetic engineering are here to stay. China is already doing it and I'm sure others will soon join them.
i do have to say i like the trade federation theme more, because it symbolyzes how similar seperatists and the republic were.
NoStepOnSneek & the fact that was all being manipulated by Sheev.
Also, it fits since they were both manufactured armies being controlled by Darth Sidious
