I have a thermal dynamics 85 amp. Single phase. Had it for 6 or 8 years. Love it. The place that sells them kinda local won’t let them go out the door with out a filter set up that looks like it takes a toilet paper roll. Supposed to absorb moisture too. I use a face shield with a tinted shield about the darkness a guy would use for oxy/acetylene torch. I want to get an angle tip. I think it’s a 45 deg or more, to get closer to obstacles and for flush cutting bolt heads off.
I have several filters, plus a small receiver tank close by the machine. Moisture settled out in there also. As this was a fast test, I didn't put them on, but I have some #9,#10, glasses. I just closed my eyes for the cuts. Great machine so far. Thanks for watching.
Wear a helmet or glasses at least with a shade 7 through 8 that's what I usually go for I have had flash burn from plasma cutting on the skin of my face eyes and also arms and chest and neck red and kind of burnt from that being protected I see you wearing a jacket which is good but your eyes and face and protection

Looks like it will be a handy unit to have around the shop . Cheers Josh .
Great addition to the shop, the torch innards are very complex, I have a 40 amp one.
Thanks for sharing.
This looks like a fantastic machine, it is a pity we cannot justify something this good. Thanks for the review
It's a lot of machine for what you would be doing. You could get something much smaller. This will cut up to 1" thick.
That's impressive. Just looked up the specs & it will cut twice that thickness. Wow!
It's an awesome machine, but a big investment. Should serve me well.

That was a quick test. I now use coat, gloves respirator and welding helmet on a 9-10 shade.
What plug did you use??
