A set of songs I think it'd be cool for you to react to is Ice Cap's theme(s) from Sonic 3! The story behind Sonic 3's soundtrack is actually really interesting, because towards the end of the game's development, SEGA hired *MICHAEL JACKSON* (and his team) to create new tracks for about half the game's levels. But because of MJ's, at the time, upcoming controversies and even later upcoming copyright issues, the release that Sonic 3 got on PC at the time and all rereleases of the game after 2009 used some variation of that original soundtrack. Also for Ice Cap in particular, the MJ theme is based off a song by the Jetzons, called "Hard Times" that would be unreleased until 2020 when it was put on a vinyl with a few of the bands other unreleased tracks. As you can see, this series is way more complicated than it has any right to be, and that's why I love it. @@LolipooChimichanga Personally, I only include extra versions of songs when I think there's something particularly interesting to say about them (or when I particularly like the track) It's why I included Hard Times in the original comment. It might not have anything to do with Sonic (officially) but the Michael Jackson debacle is a really interesting part of Sonic 3's soundtrack. I don't think there'd be much to gain by listening to those 4 other versions of Ice Cap, since they're essentially the same composition, with different instrumentations and playback. There wouldn't be much for Zor to say besides "Oh, that sounds weird, I wonder why."

You've gotta listen to Sonic Youth by Crush 40. While it's not technically a Crush 40 Sonic song because it's never appeared in a Sonic game it's still a certified bop. In the lyrics for it it has a bunch of references to other Crush 40 Sonic songs like Open Your Heart and Live And Learn
The way the JP soundtrack ends (or started in Collision Chaos Bad Future in this case.) on some of these is actually meant to be a looping bit. Like back in Metallic Madness Bad Future the orchestra hits do the piano track from Past and Present as the looping from end to back to the very beggining. Guess Sonic Team didn’t have the time to put it in properly back in the day, and it kinda just… Stayed as such. Since you've reacted to "Cosmic Eternity ~ Believe in Yourself" from Sonic CD before, and in this video you've reacted to the "Sonic Boom" album with the US tracks, I think you could react to "When We Reach For You ~Could It Be Right?~" It's a song from the 1994 album, Sonic the Hedgehog Remix, that has a ton of Sonic CD JP remixes, some remixes of whole songs like this one I recommended, other ones being a mix of multiple songs (Past, Present, Bad Future or Good Future), and even some original songs which have the same melody in some parts or samples as the CD songs If you want to check it out, here it is: ua-cam.com/video/Rn8ebChYHik/v-deo.htmlsi=FElu8mqQfOl8UwGp I got this video with some subtitles because the lyrics on this album are a bit hard to understand, and I think the aesthetics on this specific video are really cool showing Sonic commercials from the 90s from the US, Europe and Japan, it's really cute And if you're also up to listening to another song from the album, I would recommed "Love You Sonic", it's a pretty good song and I love it a lot, I've seen people who know this album (even though it's not a whole lot) call this one of "Amy Rose's theme" like her theme "My Sweet Passion" from Sonic Adventure or many of her future themes, and I definetly think it fits, this song is really cute and fits her ua-cam.com/video/5pUTl7o86Bk/v-deo.htmlsi=s4q0N_Yz-AOb4oBk
This marathon of Sonic CD reactions has been a blast! Once you get through them, please check out Victor McKnight's trilogy of songs based on the Sonic movies! (Ready Set Go, Up 2 Speed, Darker Side of Me) CG5 and Emi Jones also have plenty of banger Sonic fansongs!
That past jp one does not sound right. I think some people tend to forget that the past the tracks that used a lower quality method of playing the music as an artistic choice, to make it sound older and more in the past by using older more "primitive" technology.
I will say that even though the music is good, i dont like how in game, it ends the song, theres a couple of seconds of silence and then just starts playing again.
Okay it's beem bothering me for a while, but every past version you've been reacting to is a fan remaster that's very different from the original releases of the song and I don't think they're as faithful to the 16 bit feel that the should be. I hate to ask, but if you're going to continue reacting to the past tracks, could you use DeoxysPrime's uploads? This is the original past version ua-cam.com/video/NEfYqmjUhbo/v-deo.htmlsi=RJiuUSOSolubALCt
I had no idea there was a difference. I've mainly been relying on the tracks recommended because there are so many to keep track of. I can add DeoxysPrime's versions to the next Sonic CD reaction lineup ADD/OR I can do a full video just listening to all of the original Past versions that were missed. I might have to reference the fan remasters to remember the differences, but maybe that could be an interesting video?
@@ZorDonofDoom I think it'd be great to add them to the next lineup! I think it's important to listen to the tracks of the game as they were originally composed if someone is reacting to this great soundtrack! Making a reaction video about the other past versions would be a fun watch if you wanted to do that. Also just for your knowledge, any time you hear a unique opening or ending to any of the Japanese versions of the present, good future, bad future, they are unused loop segments from the original game, but years later were found and mixed by a fan into the tracks and I think it greatly adds to the listening experience. Anyway, keep up the great videos, I'm really enjoying this Sonic CD series!!!!
@@ZorDonofDoom Hi again! Sorry to trouble you again, but I just wanted to clarify quickly that by using DeoxyPrime's versions I mean only the Past tracks. The rest of the Japanese tracks you're using by BlueLuigi7 are good and are pretty much the only uploads of those songs that have those unique beginnings and endings!

I feel like it's just some bad editing with buzzwords in the title to make it seem better considering you can't do losses on UA-cam
yea i hate the restorations and remixes.
They never truly know how it was intended to be heard but it's definitely not like that
You've gotta listen to Sonic Youth by Crush 40. While it's not technically a Crush 40 Sonic song because it's never appeared in a Sonic game it's still a certified bop. In the lyrics for it it has a bunch of references to other Crush 40 Sonic songs like Open Your Heart and Live And Learn
YESS!!! If we get Palmtree Panic, i can die happy (NVM, IT SOULD THE THE LAST ZONE)
We will
But can we please let that be the last one
Cuz the song screams CD
If that makes sense
@@DubiousDepthsRadio makes sense to me
Thx lol@@OsartDamian
@@DubiousDepthsRadio imo, the song that most screams CD is Stardust Speedway or Wacky Workbench but ok
@@OsartDamian for me it QQZ my fav!
If someone wants to hear the true JP soundtrack, with proper looping and all: ua-cam.com/video/laso9ftM0fs/v-deo.htmlsi=v4iMcOhvzlXKiQtq
I hope we get Palmtree Panic, I love the Bad Future JP of that one.
other kind of music related to Sonic CD is the Sonic The Hedgehog Remix, that album full of mixes of CD and other original songs, no reactions of that UA-cam
Since you've reacted to "Cosmic Eternity ~ Believe in Yourself" from Sonic CD before, and in this video you've reacted to the "Sonic Boom" album with the US tracks, I think you could react to "When We Reach For You ~Could It Be Right?~"
It's a song from the 1994 album, Sonic the Hedgehog Remix, that has a ton of Sonic CD JP remixes, some remixes of whole songs like this one I recommended, other ones being a mix of multiple songs (Past, Present, Bad Future or Good Future), and even some original songs which have the same melody in some parts or samples as the CD songs
If you want to check it out, here it is: ua-cam.com/video/Rn8ebChYHik/v-deo.htmlsi=FElu8mqQfOl8UwGp I got this video with some subtitles because the lyrics on this album are a bit hard to understand, and I think the aesthetics on this specific video are really cool showing Sonic commercials from the 90s from the US, Europe and Japan, it's really cute
And if you're also up to listening to another song from the album, I would recommed "Love You Sonic", it's a pretty good song and I love it a lot, I've seen people who know this album (even though it's not a whole lot) call this one of "Amy Rose's theme" like her theme "My Sweet Passion" from Sonic Adventure or many of her future themes, and I definetly think it fits, this song is really cute and fits her

When cd is finished
It album will be next hehe
I really hope she does a quartz quadrant reaction soon !
Yo she already did QQz
I know, i realised she already did it like 1 minute after writing the comment.
@@giottocook6512 xD
I know you would've known by then but just wanted to make sure hehe
This marathon of Sonic CD reactions has been a blast!
Once you get through them, please check out Victor McKnight's trilogy of songs based on the Sonic movies! (Ready Set Go, Up 2 Speed, Darker Side of Me)
CG5 and Emi Jones also have plenty of banger Sonic fansongs!
Kids don't know the sounds of phone buttons or old servos
That past jp one does not sound right. I think some people tend to forget that the past the tracks that used a lower quality method of playing the music as an artistic choice, to make it sound older and more in the past by using older more "primitive" technology.
Wow,incredible I love this music, the next video you can reaction the zone: Palmtree Panic please
You should do Tidal Tempest next JP version is so beautiful and also my favorite
Didn't u say quartz quadrants present is ur fav? 💀
@@DubiousDepthsRadio I say both is my favorite bro
@@axtonganha xD okk
Awesome thank you so much!!!!
You should watch Shadow The Hedgehog Intro, it's really interesting!
I will say that even though the music is good, i dont like how in game, it ends the song, theres a couple of seconds of silence and then just starts playing again.
That from the original version
The 2011 version the best version by far
Even better than origins who did cd no good
Okay it's beem bothering me for a while, but every past version you've been reacting to is a fan remaster that's very different from the original releases of the song and I don't think they're as faithful to the 16 bit feel that the should be.
@@GBX101 Thank you so much! I will keep that in mind!!
Damn, I haven’t found any UA-camrs who reacted to these songs in a LONG time! You gotta keep up the good work, ZorDon! The content you make is amazing and I love your Sonic Saturday’s! In your next Sonic Saturday, I really want to request Palmtree Panic, the first zone in Sonic CD! Here’s some of the links!

@@gu3stb1wa it okay bro

TIDAL TEMPEST
it's crazy there was no tidal tempest reaction yet. both presents are 11/10 beauty. DONT SKIP THE PRESENT BOOM ALBUM VERSION haha, it's the way to go, "definive" version. similarly, the album version from the futures versions are amazing aswell, please consider not skipping those too, you'll miss the beauty (like quartz quadrant, the album versions had more vocals haha)
jp version can go either way, og, 2011 album, whatever, they're all the same. sonic boom tho album is the release that has features versions
pd: man, us album collision chaos is truly something else 😮
“Zordon reacts to sonic shorts 9”
8:36 "Why do I feel like this is a little faster?"
Me, who's watching on 1.5x speed to get past the US songs: "No idea."
27:05 Oh hey, it's the Beta loop I mentioned in a previous video! The small section they'd planned to use to cover the gap caused by reloading the music on the disc, but ultimately acrapped! I have versions of these songs with them reinstated, and it's been weird hearing the originals ever since, so it's nice to see this here!
28:38 Ooh, and the next one _starts_ with the beta loop!
XD
Id recommend listening to the in-game versions of the past themes over fan restorations/HD versions, they take away from the charm
This was only collision chaos that was a bit wacky
Great soundtrack !!!!
Will you do Zelda music reactions?
You need to react Palmtree panic of sonic Cd
