Selim might be the best character in the season 4. The actor did an amazing job portraying an unconfident man, scorned by everyone, who finally decides to stand up for himself. He didn't win the throne thanks to his father's support, but due to his own intelligence.
10:50 when she literally couldn't digest the truth, she slapped Selim !! Selim may not be the best, but he was definitely not like the rest🔥!!
Selim was the worst but he never played victim, never tried so and he always accepted his doings. He wasn't a hypocrite about his actions, he admitted them.
Cause of the decline and setting a weak line of sultans... Those who even didn't leaved their palace for years, campaigns are something far
@@zayn8656 The decline started late into Suleiman's rule, not Selim
@@Catparentforeverexactly. Only because of that reason I didn't hate him. He wasn't a good king but I liked the character tbh
Mirimah, what about the little son of Prince Mustafa? He was 7 years old. Such a hypocrite like her mum.
She had nothing to do with Mustafa's son's death.
@@fortheloveofcats2462 indirectly she does, she caused the death of Mustafa and all son of a traitor are executed to prevent future treason.
Also Mihrimah doesn’t feel guilty about Mustafa cause he was their half-brother, she did that to protect her “true” brothers, she thought that if one of them is on the throne they wouldn’t killed each other, she was close to Bayezid and knew he wouldn’t killed a brother, not like Selim (she tought he didn't have the guts) and Mustafa(she wasn’t close enough to him to knew the pact that he had with Bayezid and Cihangir). In those time half or not its still a fraticide Mihrimah.
@@EmpressJGT not in real life, neither Hurrem nor Mihrimah had anything to do with the deaths of Mustafa and his son.
@@fortheloveofcats2462 I know, thought you were talking about the show
What about when Mahi poison hurrem when she is pregnant with Mehmet and then she finally killed Mehmet.... Didn't she try to kill hurrem a lot of times........ All was started by Mahi, walda, khatige. And so on she was only defending her self and her children...
Later on he will be like his father
I hope at the end Sultan Suleiman had realised that Prince Mustafa was the most suited to take the throne after him. I hope he repented of his mistakes
If he didn't he would be the first fool in ottoman dynasty
Or course!! Suleyman was definitely a fool, but he knew Selim was a boozer!! & proves him right with Selim dying drunk & obese 9 years into being Sultan...
This is d sad outcome of barbaric ottoman law which stipulated the other brothers to be killed by the one who ascends the throne
Not surprising that selim is drowning in guilt and grief
it is ironic that the stopped of fratricide is the reason ottoman fall later
Yes I agree with you @@epicmobilia978
Because ottoman sultans had like 50 concubines and each one had about 15 kids no wonder they will kill for throne
@@themotiavtionzoneactually, no - the rule allowed each concubine to have only one son. If she had a daughter or daughters before, then yeah, but the moment she birthed a boy, that's it.
Hurrem was an exception in that time.
Not really. Because of Fratricide later many capable princes couldn't accend to the throne. I wouldn't say not Killing innocent children is the reason of the fall of a dynasty. It's the ruler's fault . They took lives of innocent children and Allah punished them . They couldn't do anything better for the empire. Don't justify Fratricide@@epicmobilia978
Selim is more mature and spits facts when he's drunk. Lol
What hurrum did to Mustafa her children are doing same to each other 😂
Someone please tell Selim that what he wears @15:09, as beautiful and royal as it is, is really not his colour... 😉
Must humble guy in the world ❤
Great acting transcends language barriers. This show has exceptional acting.
Yay Murad😮
How will he forget killing his brother
Not Nurbanu being the devil in Selim's arm
I really hope HBO would want to remake this series. Without propaganda ofc
Oh look. Conservatives calling diversity as "propaganda" again
@@princess7jasmine oh look a liberal intentionally missdirecting a history and call it ‘diversity🤓’
@@MelaRelika Not a single ounce of the Magnificent Century show is historically accurate my guy. But sure, you'd be more offended at a colored actor being included than any other historical inaccuracy.
Show about Muslims!? For Muslim Countries sure...
Nurbanu copy paste of hurrem. She chose her for that evil side😊
I never like Nurbanu ever shes arrogant.
Prince Selim drink to much
