My father was stationed in Spain when he was in the Air Force, so he loves Spanish cuisine. So when my dad came out for a visit, I made so many of your recipes and he was SO HAPPY and content.
A whole new way to turn traditional British style ‘ battered cod‘ into a sensational entree or main meal . Quite different . Watched prep . twice . Nothing difficult about this recipe . Thank you Albert .

Beer batter…saffron: as usual you throw in some very cool twists to go with cooking that is easy to follow but still looks very fancy. Can’t wait to try this! You are a great ambassador for Spanish food

Cod is very expensive in Australia but it’s my favourite fish. This is a way to stretch a piece of cod into a substantial and delicious meal. Thank you 🙏🏼
Good recipe, I have always done this with dry salted Bacalao but when I have not been able to find it here in the states I have opted for fresh one; I do however, add a 1/2 teaspoon of Baking soda so that they come out crispier, this is our Cuban/Spanish recipe that it has been traditional in our family for many years. Thank you ❤❤♥
This looks delicious! My family and friends were so impressed when I made your Mediterranean fish and chip recipe that it has become a family favorite. I make it for gatherings and even used the same recipe for fish tacos. I will plan to make this recipe tonight. Fish Friday! Thanks so much for your recipes. You make me look good!
I immediately remember the bacalaitos. We make them in Puerto Rico. Usually in a more liquid batter and they are the size of a dinner plate. I know, ironic the name bacalaitos. It could be an appetizer when they are small and sold in restaurants. Usually is sold in the kiosk around the Island near the beaches where they sale all kind of fried good. Is usually sold as a snack with a drink. Instead of going for tapas, we go chinchorreando in Puerto Rico. Chinchorreando is the act of driving around the coasts in PR to stop in different kiosks for fried or marinated fish and other proteins and tropical drinks or beer.
This looks gorgeous. Can’t wait to try them. Also Like someone else said, that you don’t need a lot of fish to make these and they could feed 2-3 people with sides.
Albert: Delicious. *_I❤COD !!!_* 😋 Easy ←(my favorite) and a MUST-make for these! Thanks again, and have a great weekend. (Fan from San Francisco, California.)
Good morning, this looks absolutely lovely and a lovely new presentation to serve fish. We were discussing fritters a couple of days ago and I am sure this will be a super winner. It is a super idea to serve fish in a new style. The recipes are very easy to follow and always looks so inviting. Thank you for showing and sharing. Kind regards.
Nice, excellent presentation… 🤤I’m salivating just thinking about cooking up a batch… Your voice…It’s as delicious as the recipes you offer😍🍻🧆🫔 ✨Thank you✨
Love it, love it, love it, 💕 Delicious recipe for any fish I believe. My favorite fish is tilapia and Salmon. For sure I'll cook it this weekend. Thanks Albert, the way that you explain is so relaxing and calm. Also your whistle voice is delightful. Perfect for narrative poems or any type of stories in general. Best wishes with your channel. Regards, Dinora,
I have haddock this week and it is in pieces the size of cod ones rather than large fillets so I might do it like this. But I wonder -- does it have to be boiled first? I suspect if flaked well enough it would cook enough in the frying process. When I do crab cakes I do not pre-cook the crab.
Wow, couldn't figure out where you were going when you boiled the cod; Looked horrible, but did that come together. Since I know I'd eat 6 of them in one sitting, no way will I make this unless it's a tapas to share with friends/family. PS: made your Spanish white bean stew with rice and potatoes yesterday. Fantastic. I didn't rinse the beans, just drained them as the residual aquafaba would help with a creamy sauce, and no need for salt.
I always wanted to incorporate fish into my diet, but I never found a good enough recipe to follow through with it. Of course, in comes Albert to save me! Much love
