It is nice to see another HK416 fan. The new grip is definitely good looking and most comfortable style. Something I always hated with the M4A1 and most AR15s were the horrible grips. H&K Really nailed it. Great video and I like your hat.
👍🏻👌🏻I thought that was the same grip on the vp 9, lol I knew it! Love the OG grips, but like the grip shape and how it fits the hand- also love how the anodizing finish looks on your upper and lower. But I always wondered if those mr556 selectors would fit on a regular ar lower, and I guess you answered that question- I ended up going a different direction when I built out my lower because I wasn’t sure- but I’m just wondering where did you end up find ral ones? I think I saw acouple pop up on rtg but those dried up so fast
Thank you! You can get the RAL8000 selector levers from Blue Ridge Supplies (HKPartsPro) or Precision Arms Indiana currently. They're also regularly stocked by Haus Manufacturing though they're out of stock at the moment.
I thought it was on HK USA but they either updated the listing or I'm misremembering as it's now $120 on there and it matches the part number for the version with the tool as listed on Blue Ridge.
I can't link directly to it due to UA-cam but if you search for "Haus Manufacturing LLC" or "Blue Ridge Supplies" (HKPartsPro), you can get the adaptive grips from both those places.
Thank you, glad you liked the video! They have this grip available in black in Europe (and green, grey, and a ton of other colors) but oddly they still haven't started importing it to the US yet.
lol I can see that, it's the same style of hat after all. Even these days it's a very functional hat design that works great for the winter, and I think they look great.
The Magpul K2 feels _awful_ in my hand, the BCM Mod 3 just isn't quite right, and the B5 P23 is almost perfect but I feel like it needs a fuller, arched backstrap. Going to give this HK Adaptive Battlegrip a try. Particularly liking the lowered beavertail like the P23. Great review, thank you 👍🏻
Thanks! I'm not sure which Torx head you're referring to, but as for the Allen on my pistol grip screw it's a 5/32", though I should note that this is a V Seven grip screw, so it will be different depending on the manufacturer.
@@Feldmutze The Torx and Allen of the tool coming with the HK grip- I could not find any info on this one and they are selling the grips without the tool here in Germany.
This Adaptive Grip, or any other AR grip that overhangs the trigger guard helps a lot with that as it gives it a much more comfortable slope instead of the harsh transition you feel otherwise.
That's correct. The lower is an ADM4 which I already said in comment just below yours. I'm not trying to make a 1:1 clone nor am I trying to pass this off as a full HK G95K. At the time when I built this, ambi bolt catches, A5 profile lowers, and other parts were completely unobtainable so I went with the functionally closest option I could get. Also imagine caring this much about the lower being perfectly accurate. Pretty cringe, tbh. It won't be the real thing no matter how much it resembles it anyway.
Didn't mention this in the video but the sizes of the bits on the grip tool are a Torx T-15 and a 3mm hex key

Strong work, and thanks for doing the video man.
Love your channel. Nice to finally see some worthwhile HK content.
Just purchased one. Thank you for the review!
Dang it, something I didn't know I wanted. Thanks for the review! edit change want to need
Great review, brother!
Always love the recommendations.
Hello again, it seems like great minds think alike, first the nefarious gas block, now the adaptive grip too. Great video!
Another great MR556 video.

Thanks for another great review! Where did you find the $80 version with no tool?
I think the extra Cost for the tool is superfluous

Strange can’t get this in black, at least I can’t find it anywhere. Just got a MR762 and want to swap the magpul grip asap….Nice vid!

Interesting. Somehow I've missed that HK makes different grips for MR.
That cap makes you look like, Ww2 German private during early winter ☃️ offecive.

@@Feldmutze Afterall Germans are really good at designing stuff that actually works.

I don’t know if I missed it but are all these grips just polymer or are any of them rubberized? I hate rubberized grips
These grips are just polymer, thankfully. I'm in the same boat and I tend to dislike rubberized grips.
Great review! What is the size of this Torx and Allen?

Thanks for clarifying! I tested the grip tools and figured out their sizes. It's a 3mm allen key and the Torx is a T-15.
@@Feldmutze Thank you, you really helped me a lot!
I forgot these existed! Interesting fyi
Curious, which ambi bolt catch/release is that on the lower? It doesn't look like the hk one from here..
I'm using an ADM4 lower which has its own ambi bolt catch.
Exactly like my vp9 grip
what is this trigger guard? I don't see any pins for installation
I'm using a re-marked ADM4 lower which has the trigger guard built in.
@@Feldmutze transition between trigger guard and pistol grip is painfully noticeable on MR, any advise ?

@@Feldmutze thank you
11:40 i was sold until right here lmao.
Not sure what the heck the lower is on that but it’s not HK. Not sure why you’d remark a lower that’s not remotely accurate to the real thing.
It is not your business, he can do whatever he like
