And the knife and flashlight from Smith as well. $469 for all of that which is easily a $700+ value is insane.
Just to note that the shield plus comes with a 10 - 13 round mag and the Smith Equilizer 15 round can also be used with the shield plus. I usually use the 13 round mag with it. Make sure you guy are presenting the full facts about these micros.
Having two large guys test micro compacts, a size of gun they admit they don’t and wouldn’t carry because they are too small for them, is about the logic I’ve come to expect from this channel.
That's a pretty smooth brained take. I watched two proficient shooters go over a bunch of options... talking about trigger pull, concealability, capacity, etc. If you only listened to the comments regarding size and hand fit and think that's the part that directly applies to you well...that's on you, chief. Fwiw, I walked around a LGS and held all of these. I could instantly tell which ones didn't fit my hand as a 6'2" male and I'd have similar "complaints" as these fellas. A 5'4" woman probably thinks a p365 fits great. That's not the part we're listening to
Plus they could just use extended mags so their pinkys fit better. Rest of the gun is still smaller and good for conceal even with the lengthened mags. IF available for the guns being tested. Some for sure have them. Maybe not all.
Being too small of a micro compact is a very big deal relative to hand size. They also said many times that this is their opinions and other people's mileage may vary. I don't think you understood the video.
My main gripe with this video is that whenever it comes up to Smith and Wesson, they are using the earlier models like with the hinge triggers and/or lesser magazine sizes. They are not giving Smith and Wesson a real chance. The Shield Plus comes in factory with a better trigger and a 13 or 15 magazine size. There is a cutout for an optical sight as well. Don't forget about the 3.6 barrel MP 2.0 as well.

I have many of those guns. I recently purchased 2 S&Ws, The Shield Plus optic curt with tritium front sight and the Shield Plus Carry comp. They are the best shooting guns I have and have the best trigger except for the Caniks I have and of course I use the 13 or 15 round mags (Thirteen included with both guns) and the grip is fantastic, they're very accurate and utterly reliable. The only one that comes close are the P365Xl with an aftermarket trigger and my Glock 48 also with an aftermarket trigger. I didn't have to modify the M&Ps in anyway. Also they have new versions of the Hellcat, Canik Mete and obviously the S&W. Even the P365 although they are pretty pricey in some cases.
I carry FN Reflex most days and with the 15 rd mag there is no issue getting a full grip. I highly recommend anyone in the market for a micro look at the Reflex.
HK P30SK, I have owned or shot many of the firearms or variations/types you show. This spring I picked up a P30SK LEM (what you all had for this video), I had to put about 500 rounds through it to learn the LEM trigger, now it is my favorite shooting/carry pistol ever. Picked up two 17 rd mags, I have about 1500 rounds throught it now, no fails. You all should have a reliablitiy measure in your assesment not price.
Shield plus comes with 10 and 13 round mags. 15 also available. Plus the optics ready are 450 everywhere pretty much. Not sure why the iffy shield arms mags are included in the info for the Glock 43x. I would not trust them for CCW. they have way too many reported issues. seems as if there was an unfair bias with the glock. the 43x also does not come standard with the optic cut and is close to 500 at most stores for the MOS.
Always gets overlooked or never thought of, probably because their association as mainly a shotgun and rifle manufacturer, but I carry a Mossberg MC2sc. 6.25” OAL, cut for optics, 11+ one and 13+ one mags. Nice concealable size and love the grips. The one knock is the rail. It’s just like a Sigg P3 65 rail, doesn’t have the cross slot. I was able to find a light for it, but I wish it had the cross slot so there were more options. I went with a leather holster because, not being a big player in the market, doesn’t have a lot of holster options or aftermarket support. Love the takedown system. Unfortunately Mossberg has unlimited line of pistols, in fact, all they manufacture is the MC series in only 9 mm, so I don’t ever see them being a big player in the pistol market, but I sure do like mine. Usually right around the $400-$425 Mark but I was able to find mine for $379 at one of the local gun store. In all honesty, though, if Canik had come out with the MC, I would’ve gotten it but at the time they’re smallest option with the SC.
I know they discontinued it. But the CZ rami is a great sub compact. It's a mini cz 75. Double/ single action, hammer fire, alloy frame. Comes with 10 round and 13 round with extended grip. 3" barrel. The alloy frame gives it a little weight to help the recoil. It definitely should be on the list!
Try carrying these in gym shorts and see which ones you can jog in without trouble. That’s why I downsized to the Glock 42 for EDC. Carrying a firearm can be very inconvenient if it’s too big or heavy. Depends on what clothes your wearing, what activities you will find yourself doing while carrying to make the right choice. Just because you “like” one particular gun based on its functions and/or looks, its not a great choice for EDC if it’s printing or dragging your shorts/pants down or flopping around or uncomfortable. Your own personal body size and shape has something to do with your choice also. If your like me 5’7 164lbs and a fit build you find it hard to properly and comfortably conceal a lot of pistols. That’s why I sold my 43x and carry a 42. And I have extra mags on me usually since it’s a low capacity pistol.
That’s why when people that ask me what the best gun is, I told them that it’s one that they can shoot well with and will carry every day. If you decide to stop carrying it every day because it’s too heavier or bulky it defeats the purpose no matter how cool the gun is
Shield plus , you don’t have to have a safety, gives you 10 &12. Far better than the 43 (not the 43x) or any other Glock whose sights you glossed over but pointed out on the smith. The trigger is far better that the Glock also
DO NOT LOVE .380 ACP but twelve rounds of it in a firearm small enough to carry in your pocket yet handle just like a larger firerm needs to be an honorable mention at the least. The Bodyguard 2.0 incidentally I also carry the FN REFLEX with a optic "EPS" carry which is amazing to shoot and as accurate as any micro gun and the Glock 43X with 15 round shield mags and the original P365 with a twelve round mag. For pocket in daily carry all of these firearms especially the Bodyguard fit the bill.
I’m rolling with the low rated EC9s. Reliable, affordable, and so easy to conceal and be comfortable. I tried concealing my G19 but felt like I was carrying around a brick in my pants. The smaller, thinner and lighter the better for me.
Categories are as follows, Full size 4"+ barrel 15 + rounds , compact 3.50 to 3.75 barrel 15 rounds average , sub compact 3.25 to 3.50 barrel 12 rounds average and micro 3.00 to 3.25 barrel 7 rounds average . Each gun should be evaluated and judged within its own category . IMO...
Interesting I see alot of reviewers other than Honest outlaw say that the shield is snappy. Yet most people say it is the least snappy of all the carry guns without comps.
Thanks, guys, for a pretty comprehensive demo of such a broad selection! I have larger hands so my (current carry) is the 365XL. I used to have the HK VP9SK that I foolishly let a good friend talk me into selling to him (still miss it) but like the width of the Sig better for carry. No one talks about 'em anymore but I used to have a Kahr PM9 back when there weren't many small options for carry. It took a while to learn to use a very firm grip and it was so small I really had to shoot one handed but that trigger gave a "surprise break" every time so I ended up more accurate with it than my Glock 19!
The flaming in the comments section of this is better than the video😂😂 if this was a tweet you all might have earned the hardest ratio of the year award 😂😂.

Seecamp 2" barrel, 11.5 ounces, indestructible, smooth double action a true get-off-me backup micro pistol. Hellcat, 6 inches long, 4 inches high, 1 inch wide, and weighs 17.9-18.6 ounces. I consider a true micro a one-hand pistol, a back-up not a main carry. In general, I really like your videos. This one is just about "small" carry pistols. A chart is a good suggestion.
Fan of your channel, but we differ in what a Micro is. To me a Micro easily fits in my cargo pants/shorts front pocket. The Shield, Glock 43 OG, & Beretta APX Carry (& J frame snub revolvers) are what I rotate to pocket holster carry. It’s concealability, not comfortable grip or fast reload. And that heavy revolver like trigger on the Beretta is a plus when you pocket holster carry & were raised on DA revolver triggers. Good video though.
From some perspectives a single stack magazine is preferable and shouldn’t be sneered at but instead those advantages at least mentioned ….the magazines are smaller and lighter even if the gun isn’t but overall loaded weight will be less and the extra mags will be lighter and less bulky, not to mention better reliability of a simple single stack and easier loading, and I’m forgetting others
(+1) Also for the Shadow Systems: If you use your Shadow Systems pistol in self-defense in the US, you may temporarily or permanently lose possession of it. If Shadow Systems deems your use justified, they will replace the pistol free of charge. Something Glock doesn't do.
The absolute best micro compact for price, features, shootability, capacity is without a doubt the Hellcat Pro Comp. I’m a Glock fan, own every Sig and have all the M&P stuff… still gotta respect the Hellcat Pro Comp as the best slimline to date.

Rumor has it that ER nurses watch this channel to fantasize about their arm veins. The best pistol is the one you can afford to buy and train with.
Don’t matter how good the veins are, they’ll still place the IV in the AC - ICU nurse
Sorry, but it sounds like you’re the one that’s fantasizing.
Pause....
It also has to work reliably.... That's pretty damn important.
@@scottnesbit2807who wouldn’t 😉
Bingo!
Shield plus performance center for life
Shield plus comes with 10 and 13 round mags.
Forgot the Mossberg Mc2sc. 11+1, tritium sights, red dot ready.
The trigger is far better that the Glock also
Love my P365 XL with the 17 rd mags, holosun eps carry, and tlr-7. Throw it in a Tier 1 conceiled holster and you're golden.
FN Reflex and Glock 43x are my go to EDCs…. Stay safe and God Bless.
Shield plus everyday. I dont need a dot. I occasionally rotate in my Hellcat.
Walther PDP-F Pro for the win
Taurus G3C has a long pull and a short reset
Save it .. they biased AF
Thats what i said 🤷🏾
DO NOT LOVE .380 ACP but twelve rounds of it in a firearm small enough to carry in your pocket yet handle just like a larger firerm needs to be an honorable mention at the least. The Bodyguard 2.0
incidentally I also carry the FN REFLEX with a optic "EPS" carry which is amazing to shoot and as accurate as any micro gun and the Glock 43X with 15 round shield mags and the original P365 with a twelve round mag. For pocket in daily carry all of these firearms especially the Bodyguard fit the bill.
Shield plus comes with a 12 round mag as well and allows you to get a better grip
I’m rolling with the low rated EC9s. Reliable, affordable, and so easy to conceal and be comfortable. I tried concealing my G19 but felt like I was carrying around a brick in my pants. The smaller, thinner and lighter the better for me.
Aaron never disappoints with his ratings. 😂😂😂😂😂
Smith and Wesson
Csx best EDC
Shield plus with red dot, 13 & two 15 round mags. Also has the best trigger on any EDC. Also, G43X, Hellcat pro and P365XL definitely up there.
IMO...
Hellcat is awesome, the U notch is legit I’m not sure how people don’t like it. It’s so much easier to pickup accurately than 3 dots.
Interesting I see alot of reviewers other than Honest outlaw say that the shield is snappy. Yet most people say it is the least snappy of all the carry guns without comps.
Xds .45 in the factory paddle all day. Kimber .380 in my pj pocket all night. Pinky base plates on all mags
So glad the bbr is finally being shown some love
Get the Glock 48
Solves all the issues of the 43
Gives you the length of the 19 with the slim profile for concealment and comfort
FN Reflex MRD with 13 rds
The flaming in the comments section of this is better than the video😂😂 if this was a tweet you all might have earned the hardest ratio of the year award 😂😂.
Fn reflex is edc 🔥
Gotta put the HK CC9 now on this list and let us know how it places.
Also the Bodyguard 2.0 would be good even though it’s a .380.
iwi masada slim. Did not watch the video but i doubt they have it.
Gx4 …best thing smoking 💯
Hellcat osp, holosun 507k, tlr-7 sub, apex trigger and carry with 15 round mags. Works well for me. Definitely hard to get a grip with 10 round mag but much better with 13s and 15s
Should of grab the shield plus that's optic cut and the 13 round mag that it comes with Mt wife shoots that gun perfect you guys could have a different opinion
FN Reflex is my go to SC carry! Shoots amazingly and more comfy to carry than my 509T Mid!
Bul armory sas ultralight comp chefs kiss 👌🏾 best of the best
That would be my choice if they were more available.
I liked my RIA BBR in .45, but was a tad harsh recoiling...so I would try one in 9mm.
The Bul is a Cadillac though.
@@Washington5057 9mm would be probably be perfect for your setup. I agree though the bul armory is pretty tough to get your hands on but if u can find one don’t let it slip past you.
The Shield Arms 15 round mags for the 43x have had so many issues over the years and that’s the last thing I want in the back of my mind while carrying.
I carry the often-overlooked Mossburg MC2sc in 9mm and the S&W Shield Plus in .30 Super Carry (!), optics-ready with night sights. And since everyone on UA-cam absolutely HATES .30 Super Carry, I picked it up for $299!
Glock 43X is the most sold pistol on the market right now. I went from a Glock 26 to 43X and LOVE it. The P365 had ergonomic problems for me. Glock 43X will be if not already the Gold Standard in carry pistols.

They come with an optic ready, night sight, 3 lb trigger AND a pinky extension in the box… i think i paid $449… and it had a $75 rebate at the time I believe.
Love my sig365x I carry it everyday, fits my hand great even better with ext. Mag ,love the trigger, conceals great with shorts or pants, and the weight is light can't even feel it's there❤sig
The HK CC9 literally came out within 2 days of this video. It's a little hard to believe that you didn't know it was coming out based on everyone else having a video about it.
Are these two guys confusing the HK CC9 that was about to be released when this video came out, with the HK SFP9CC? Am I to understand HK is releasing two ‘micro 9s’ in the USA?
I have the PT111 G2 never a FTF or FTE. Gun’s trigger did nothing but improve with use. Couldn’t be happier! Had this gun over 10 years never a problem! For 300.00 great bargain!!!
summer carry - Hellcat w/13 rd mag
all other seasons - Glock 19
Seecamp 2" barrel, 11.5 ounces, indestructible, smooth double action a true get-off-me backup micro pistol. Hellcat, 6 inches long, 4 inches high, 1 inch wide, and weighs 17.9-18.6 ounces. I consider a true micro a one-hand pistol, a back-up not a main carry. In general, I really like your videos. This one is just about "small" carry pistols. A chart is a good suggestion.
Give Aaron some bug spray. My boy's arm is going to be swollen from all those bug bites...lol
I agree
FN Reflex also comes with a 15 round ext mag (just like the Canik you guys shot with the extended mag) and it feels a lot better.
I carry the Kimber R7 Mako as a micro 9 and love it. It comes with nice night sights, an excellent trigger and shoots great.
Gonna take a while. Speed 1.5x. Play.
CR920 is perfection imo
My top 3- Sig P365, Springfield Hellcat and SW Bodyguard
The absolute best micro compact for price, features, shootability, capacity is without a doubt the Hellcat Pro Comp. I’m a Glock fan, own every Sig and have all the M&P stuff… still gotta respect the Hellcat Pro Comp as the best slimline to date.
The Ultimate Micro Compact pistol THAT WE SELL. Truth in advertising makes a difference.
Micro compact guns are supposed to have small grips. Self defense scenarios don't often require a reload.
