btw prof, you might not have gotten them yet but I've tested the new weaps, the plasma weap beats the quad launcher in dps, the bow if aimed well (gl) also but not by much, no hooming nor aoe though, theplasma weap also has quite fast reload, real solid, I just still prefe the quad for rig/stuff that moves around alot/aoe, but for raid bosses I think we found the new bis in that, hopefully ya can test soon

@@uniderp4258 Oil is easier to obtain than the materials for the new ingots not to mention that expeditions now reward 20-30 oil meaning that is 20-30 shots per expedition. In order to get any real amount of Hexolite you are going to have to go out into the world and spend your active time mining. On the other hand oil is already properly automated on top of as I said being rewarded from expedtions. If this had been prior to the Feybreak I would have said quartz to make the circuit boards would have been not so fun but now we have quart mines this is a non issue.

@@ZeelofTheMarty absolutely NOT the case hexolite itself is super easy to farm wether ya make a base for it or not (I have a base for it on the spot that also has a oil ofc), AND on top of that active farming which you can't do for oil, for oil all ya cana ctively do for it is making slow extracting extractors that's it.
You also obviously get it in BETTER quantities off expeditions.
Now when it comes to chromite, get a smokie and ideally condense it and go into the feybreak caves or dungeons, I was making 4k chromite per dungeon and mind ya, oil's the bottleneck for ammo, and it's extracted super slowly, chromite is the bottleneck for hexolite ingots BUT ya get 4k per dungeon PLUS ya can do caves and if ya were THAT desperate (I am not i did 2 full rounds of dungeons and after that I haven't farmed chromite again tbh LOL). Oil is STILL, even if ya did the x6 extractor base, a hard capped material, still the worst.
With all that said though, neither is really a problem ammo wise IF you do things right but hexolite is definitly easier and a step in the right direction because oil was not ok for how scarce it was/still is, it's better now for oil than it was before but it's still massivly annoying.

So are you settled on Jormuntide Ignis as being the catch all for raids? Belenoir seems outscaled where hitting her weakness doesnt really matter. Blazamut Ryu would likely still die quickly, maybe change out some skills to hit neutral damage on him. And he seems pretty solid for Xenolord.

Kind of. DBS is only available on the Frostalion line, so you want to level your first frosty to 60 and then breed down to whatever you are breeding with. Once you have it on your Bastigor breeders it passes at about the same rate as a passive skill so you should pick it up pretty regularly so long as your breeder stays level 1 with it.
Jignis will be a bit harder as you have to route through Jorm or Blaze but both have a handful of options direct from Frosty.

@bobnewkirk7003 Thanks for this info. I was wondering about this process since since I'm new to the concept of moves being bred down. One more question, if done right, the bred pal will get the move when born and need to stay at lvl 1 to pass it on?

knocklem does just fine...the problem is when you knock a guy off of the platform down into the water, it breaks your pal AI until you go take care of that enemy in the water. your pal will just lock on to him, but not know how to reach them, so it just stands there(sometimes the same can happen if your below the enemy, and you accidentally trigger enemies above you). but i definitely use my knocklem to kill a bunch of stuff on the big oil rig to save ammo, hes just not useful vs the helicopter boss. i use beam splitter, blast cannon and holy burst on him, and if his passive is on, he 1 or 2 shots most things

Musclehead gives a generic 30% attack bonus while Siren of the Void gives a 30% attack bonus to ice and dark attacks, but is there really any difference Musclehead gives to ice attacks in that case?

    • @EpiCrimson
      @EpiCrimson 19 днів тому +6

Elemental buff are multiplicative, while the others are additive. So if you have an ice pal with: Siren of the void (30%), legend(20%), musclehead(30%), serenity(10%): an ice or dark type move will use this attack multiplier: (1.1+0.3+0.2)*1.3 = 2.08x, but if you use a non ice or non dark move, it will only be using 1.1+0.3+0.2 = 1.6x.
If you replace siren with demon lord, you will get: 1.1+0.2+0.3+0.3 = 1.9x, so if you are using full ice move, siren is better, but if you are using different elemental moves, demon lord combo would be better

Vampiric and Diamond Body has diminishing return cuz u do less dmg for vampiric life steal but also less dmg in general with those 2 passives on the same pal making the fight longer and they needing to tank more hits. Bastigor isn't necessarily good for Ultra raid bosses because they die to the burn damage, especially on Xeno and Blaz Ryu, unless you switch them in at the end.
That combination is better when mounted against hard tower bosses.
For regular Xeno, they will be fine although you would want to replace Diamond Body or Vampiric with Serenity.

Nope, ultra does fire damage so they get cooked regardless. they are great for farming the regular fight though, so its not all bad.
the professor mentions it at 6:06 but he has another video going over it in depth. He recommends breeding up Jignis with Absolute Frost from Paladius (55) and running an army of Jignis as they are Dragon/Fire and resist most of Xeno UItra's attacks. after that hit them all with Air Blade and Holy burst fruits and your off to the races.
as far as how to run the fight, just ride a Frosty and Quad launcher from way up in the air. on the normal fight so long as you push into the stun phases your vamp pals should heal back up, but for the ultra fight you want to hit the pal box and swap your pals every stun phase. Probably going to need at least 3 sets of pals for ultra.
