as a patriots fan the thing I most admire about joe green was his play. of all the film ive ever seen not once did I see him take down a QB of RB / WR with a dirty hit. he always laid a powerful hit but always a clean hit. that right there has my upmost respect. not only for him but the whole steelers organization. by far your best player ever.

Greenwood, yes. Holmes and White, nah. While good, they weren't great Ernie didn't last very long due to personal issues and injuries and Dwight kinda slowed down after 1975 after a couple Pro Bowl berths due to injuries.

He was devastating, but his numbers went significantly down since he tied up 2, 3, or even 4 guys at times to allow Greenwood, Holmes, and White to get to the QB.
Greene was hurt in 1975 and this injury weakened his left side of his upper body. His numbers were down because he played with this unusual injury for the remainder of his career, but he still commanded double and triple teams because of his tremendous quickness and tenacity off the ball
I wish today's Steelers had a front four as talented as the Steel Curtain. Of course if they did, then they would run a 4-3 defense instead of what they run now.

How call to visit training camp at St. Vinincents college in Latrobe, eat fish at Bull's Tavern in Latrobe... and watch our team dominate!!!!!!!!!.
