Hot Cross Buns & Loaves

A good recipe for hot cross buns & raisin bread for the Easter baking list. My decorating skills are not prize winning but sufficient in this case. They turned out very tasty and the loaves reminded me of a fantastic raisin bread I used to buy from a baker many years ago. .
You will need: 1 lukewarm cup water, 4 1/2 tsp yeast, 1 cup lukewarm milk, 1/4 cup white sugar, 2 tsp salt, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 5 + 2 1/2 cups sifted flour, 1 cup raisins, 1/2 cup currants, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp allspice or nutmeg. Time and patience !
For icing: !/4 cup mil, 1 cup icing sugar.
