Davido and Chioma's wedding finally happened on Tuesday the 25th of June, 2024 with the hastag, #chivido2024 trending all across all social media platforms. It was and still is the talk of town as this isn't the first time Davido is trending for something major; good or nasty. But despite the glorious ceremony, the big questions still stands for me; "would you marry a Davido?"

Davido looks happy with Chioma... I'm not even a Nagerian but anyone can see that Chioma is loved...
My current conviction is I will not, however, I have never been in her shoes. Personally I can't deal with numerous scandals of cheating, there is always a cost to pay when one stays in such and I suppose the question is are you willing to pay the cost.

You need to also understand that a struggling broke musician, wont have as many scandals around him. He won't have baby mamas in other countries, wont be seen begging for sex, won't have such crowd of guys all aroubf him. Also, its Davido's popularity that brought all of his scandals to public. Many Nigerians experience similar issues. An unrepentant broke cheating husband/partner and they stay back with the hope that 'he will change'
She could be with him for money and its also possible love carries more for her.

I would never marry a Davido because I prioritize my peace and stability. I want my man for myself and my children alone. I don’t ever want to deal with the idea that my man has another “love” somewhere. I want a man that we can build our life goals and raise our children together.
Wealth is important to me but I only want wealth that comes with peace of mind and respect.
On the other hand, the rain has nothing to do with the marriage. The rain that fell on my wedding day was beyond cat and dog rain.😅 Many people couldn’t make it to the venue because of flooding and traffic in Lekki area. Our marriage will be 7years in about 2weeks time and I am eternally grateful to God for our union and all the blessings that we enjoy.

Rain on a wedding day is a blessing. It is raining season in Nigeria, and this is a typical scene when it rains.
One thing you guys fail to understand is that most young men at the age of 25, 26 upto 28 who made so much money tends to behave like David, youthful exorbirant etc, look at 2 face Idibia, but today as 2face grow in age he is even more responsible. Responsibility comes with age most time. Of course, Glory, there are definitely many people who would want to marry a Davido and also many others who would not. Humans are naturally emotional animals; hence, different people of the same intelligence would have different priorities. In Nigeria where the wealth-poverty contrast is extremely pronounced, most people would want to marry a Davido.
On the other hand, Davido's wedding has no causal connection with the heavy rainfall; it's purely a meteorological matter.

A girl whose husband's family loves her, you and I are earnestly praying to be loved by our inlaws, but this is Chioma's experience. A girl who's adequately loved and adored by her husband Davido so that he displays his wealth on her, spoiling her with expensive gifts: Every woman's love language is gifts and Chioma is adequately showered with that. How many cars has Davido bought her? After the birth of her twins Davido bought her a mansion in the USA. Do you know the endorsement deals she has garnered by virtue of her relationship with Davido? How many men don't cheat? What difference does it make if you know your man is cheating or not? The point is he's cheating. He may not go about impregnating other women because he's married to you but that doesn't mean he doesn't have side chicks out there. An average husband cheats, and Davido is not different from them. Also who told you Chioma is calm, she's very good natured we get it but that doesn't mean she's not flawed. I understand what you mean, I have 2 kids and have been married 11 years, am no expert or do I claim to have a perfect marriage, but I am sure i won't be with a Man who cheats continously, she is with him asides love for security, peer pressure, the lifetime assurance and insurance. Be that as it may, our values and family orientation form a big part of our lives as adults, so what's a deal breaker for me, might not be for another. In all of this, we should always enter any relationship with the full picture in view, so that in the future, you know it's your choice to be there.

It's hard to say Glory, because when we women are young, we make stupid decisions which are molded, usually, by our mothers and society even when we think we are independent at the time. We are immature, however marriage cooks you that's why people get shocked when certain decisions are made by women later on, after years of a toxic marriage. I have said this and I will say it again, what is a deal breaker for me may not be what is for you.
We all are have different family orientations, cultures, beliefs, tolerance level, etc and so will always see things differently.
For some, once you cheat, that’s the end, for another don’t ever lay your hands on me, for another also financial issues and family related issues and yet for others emotional abuse (silent treatment, keeping malice) constitutes a deal breaker. If you will not marry Davido because of his baby mamas baggage, Chioma counted the odds and decided to marry him. She made the best decision for herself. We cannot ever all want or dislike the same things. If Chioma didn’t marry him, another woman would have, abi Davido no go marry?

Glory, thank you for your amazing and thought-provoking presentation with regard to Davido's wedding. It's quite evident that Chioma would have not gone this far with him if D. was a regular man. The same reason applied to Regina and her husband. The personal and generational wealth of D. really played an important role. The ability to provide, protect, finance, enjoy fame and popularity and also the security of their children also played crucial role. Apart from love, Chioma knew that the massive benefits she's going to have would outweigh her endurance and perseverance in the relationship. No woman in her right mind would like to share her man with any other woman but if your gains outweigh the dents you would have, then you will choose to stay and live along as the madam of the house. Every marriage has its own ups and downs. I just pray D, will stay to his promise and not let Chioma down at the end of the day. I wish them "till death do us part". Amen.
