How to reset 2001 Ford Taurus anti-theft security system ?

My friend is having issues with his 2001 Ford Taurus. What is a security system? What needs to be reset or replaced? Please explain in the comments thanks.

@@projecthonda337 we have called a locksmith to reprogram for 130 could probably get a better price but we have a bit a time restriction because of where it’s parked lol
