    I am from Pakistan. I am involved in the ministry of teaching and preaching. This talk immensely blessed me and I even recommend to many people to listen to this. These two men have had a strong influence in my formational years of ministry and even now the formation process is going on. I pray that we all stay faithful to God and His Word. All glory and honor belongs to Him alone.

      I began listening to John Macarthur in the early 80s during my lunch breaks at the VA hospital where I worked. I didn't know anything about Piper in those days, but I have learned to love his teachings just as much. The truth is, the great majority of Charismatic communities do not have a well established structure of Scriptures that forms sound doctrine. Instead, they rush to their meetings to fall to the floor. Oh, they might hear a "message" that is spoken, but, as Piper says, it acts like the coffee percolator that bubbles, and in time, readies the attendees for the emotional shaking that leads to ecstacy which they say is the presence of God.

As a 19 y/o I’ve learned much from both of them, and it was JP’s messages that helped shape my theology of suffering. It’s all about Lyme. D you have a verified Lyme doctor near you, someone who is educated in Lyme disease? That would be ideal. You could do a search for a Lyme doctor in, or close to, your area. And check his/her credentials if there is one. I’ll pray for you. May God bless you in your search.

      All denominations combine the gospel of the kingdom (which Jesus and the 12 taught) with the gospel of the grace of God, which ONLY Paul taught.
      The gospel that Jesus Christ taught is John 3:16 - " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
      With the John 3:16 (gospel of the kingdom) you have to keep the Law of Moses to be saved!
      Matthew 19:17 - ""And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."
      With the gospel of the kingdom, you have to endure until the end to be saved!
      Mathew 24:13- - "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
      With the gospel of the grace of God (I Corinthians 15:1-4) we are saved (at the exact moment) when we believe the gospel.
      Ephesians 1:13-14 - "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
      I Corinthians 15:1-4
      1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
      2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
      3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
      4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
      The gospel of the grace of God is the gospel by which Jesus Christ was raised from the dead.
      II Timothy 2:8 - "Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel."
      We will be judged by Paul's gospel.
      Romans 2:16 - "In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel."
      Do you want to have your sins forgiven by Paul's gospel, be saved by believing Paul's gospel, and be raised from the dead by Paul's gospel, or do you want to listen to a false gospel preached by false denominational preachers?

They believe the none-elect are the majority of the world population, so where's the good news? The elect, they believe, could have been chosen against their will (tulip) so no good news for them either.

      @Jim Hammer no, no questions. I feel bad for you that you don't understand these things. Not that I am any better or smarter or more worthy than you, you can only understand these things through the Holy Spirit, He that gives you eyes to see and and faith to believe. All the things you pointed out for example having 2 nature's and being subordinate to the Father and not eternally existing etc. Are very easily understandable through the Holy Spirit! To say that God cannot do these things is limiting God and putting Him in a box. Can God not limit himself if He pleases? Can God not manifest Himself in human flesh if He pleases? Jesus is subordinate to the Father in role only not in nature. I will pray for you Jim, as long as you have breath in you it is not too late to repent! I absolutely love both of these men with all my heart! I found my way back to Jesus Christ starting with John Piper and am learning more about myself and my journey now with John MacArthur. Without them, I don’t know where I would be in my life of growing with Christ. I was so lost and broken and tormented after losing my child. So for me, how amazing this moment is to see them both together and to feel so honored to have been changed by them both!
    I actually feel a big circle in my life coming together watching this beautiful moment. Thank you both for leading me to Christ and for helping me understand my way after my daughter was taken from me. I am on my journey still until I make it back home with my savior!
    God bless you both! ❤✝️

When I read about great men that were lovers of God and blessed this earth with their teachings, knowledge, passion for Christ and rich experiences of Him I often feel jealous of those who lived during their times.... so I feel incredibly blessed to live during this time. There aren't many like Piper... he has validated so many of my beliefs and thoughts as a Christian and im especially grateful for him. We are in need of a great repentence revival. Jonah and the city of Nineveh comes to my mind and in my prayers. As always, Pastor John Piper and Pastor John Macarthur, you are in my prayers continuously, that our Good Lord, Jesus Christ, through the power of His Holy Spirit will continue to give you strenght (especially when you grow weary) and good health (as we all need your guidance and leadership and sound Biblical teaching).

      Only The Lord can accomplish the gift of the movement of a repentance or, a Revival in Christ Jesus. The past shows this to be Truth. Even we see plainly it would be of great benefit. Only God can Will this into existence. Asking Him, through prayer, and discussion I believe is His Will.
      Letting the world know through a post on any website is not the way to get God’s attention. God is a jealous God.All Glory is His. When I see, and read these prayers online. I often wonder if these
      Petitions that require God’s Sovereign power are given From our hearts to Jesus, instead of a post
      On a social platform to be seen by men. This is where the internet has changed Relationship with Jesus over time.
      This is not at all judgement. I think it when I read many posts as well as when I prepared to write this
      Post to be honest. God alone deserves all forms of our passions to Pray for His Will to be done!
      God Bless all my brethren in Christ😊

    I love both of these men in the Lord and am glad to see them seeking unity in Gods Word which is biblical and humble like the great example given to us by Christ in taking on flesh and dying on the cross to be united to His beloved bride the church (Philippians 1-2). To lovingly soften a few things I would only add that I didn’t find that John MacArthurs comments about our apostate culture left me seething but rather they gave me hope to draw near to the Lord in suffering and hope that the rapture and end times are coming soon. John Piper gave hope we can rejoice in suffering as well. Both responses are Biblical and should remind us of biblical exhortations to have hope, love, joy, and longing for Christs imminent return and the marriage of the bride of Christ to her Beloved Savior very soon! Praise the Lord He is coming. Yes Lord come quickly! Amen

    I'm currently only at 35:44 of this conversation and I'm struck by how beneficial it is to hear the experiences of these two great servants of the Lord and expositors of His word. Not only in understanding my individual position in the body and what I believe my calling to be, but also benefits in comprehending God's working..."providence" in all of our lives as the chosen of God. On another subject, just 12 years ago I would not have even known what arminianism was, and how it was distinguished from Calvanism. For me, I simply discovered that the way I understood God's word was in keeping with what these reformed preachers were teaching. As a teaching elder, I found myself at odds with all of the other leaders of my Arminianist church, and so, was ostracised, yet for the sake of the members who still embraced me and my exegesis/hermenuetics (I felt the need to bring them along with me), I hung in for another five years. Only to now find myself alone, without a church home, not wanting to place membership in a church of any particular denomination. My previous church no longer exists but gave everything to a truly non-biblical church, including the house I was living in. Currently attending a 2RP church. Besides my sophomoric writings, I'm feeling rather fruitless and turning 65 this year. Prayers appreciated.

I find it fascinating: these two men have such different personalities and so while they both stay faithful to the word, each man compliments the other in such a way that rounds out each others answers. It makes me think of how, in the gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke and John captured and focused on different aspects of Jesus’ ministry.
