    I know you don't get massive views, but you really are creating a fascinating record of Buxtons history. Lot's of detail I didn't know as someone born there. Have you considered changing your channel title to "Leo Jay's Buxton" and include "Buxton" in titles which might help with reach.

      Thank you that’s means so much to me! I’ve considered changing my channel name and such but I do occasionally want to upload my travel videos and urban exploring mixed in too. Plus I might make videos beyond Buxton as I run out of videos to make here :)

    Leo, you deserve at least a thousand times the subs you have right now just for your sterling effort in litter picking alone! Thx for your hard work and enjoyable vids you've brought us.

    Several blue lagoons in the UK. The one near me is slowly changing it being part of a deep chalk quarry that is being landscaped and built around believe it or not. The wonders of Kent! The other one is near Corfe Castle which I haven't visited for 10 years but that too is an old chalk quarry I believe

    • @Leock
      @Leock  6 місяців тому

      Chalk is a form of limestone so that adds up I doubt it’s anywhere near as toxic due to the process of chalk quarrying but interesting non the less.

      The Blue Pool at Furzebrook in Dorset was a clay quarry, it produced the type of clay that was used for fine ceramic pottery

    Great videos with a wonderful unique twist whereby you do some litter picking too.
    Bet you didn't remove the plastic bottles out of the blue lagoon though 😂

    I don't know how I got here, but I am hoping that some do not get confused with this place being a Thermal spa located not to far from this spot. Not as some would think it were safe to swim...poor souls. Nice vlog though. 🖖Peace.

    What ill effects are suffered by the swimmers? Are they immediately noticeable like caustic burns? Thanks for posting I subbed

    • @Leock
      @Leock  5 місяців тому +2

      I’m not 100% sure I believe from what some people have said in the past it bleaches your clothes and causes irritation, for some nausea and I suppose if you were to be in there longer then I’d say you would get burns.

      Just to follow up on this video idea. I am a regular visitor to Waterswallows. I’ve spent over 50 hours creating an underwater map during many scuba dives here and also using a sonar on the surface.
      I’ve uploaded a few videos on my channel. Let me know if I can help in anyway with either research or content if you decide to make a video on Waterswallows :)

    What happens to the wildlife around here.

    • @Leock
      @Leock  6 місяців тому

      That’s an interesting question as I don’t think I’ve ever seen any wildlife near any of our blue lagoons. Some plant life prefer the alkaline conditions of the tufa though.

      As long as those idiots who choose to go for a swim take responsibility for their actions, don't call 999, don't expect to take up valuable hospital space or the use of tax payer dollars to rescue them and don't expect to sue anyone and receive any compensation. Sure then no problem
