Fucking fantastic - probably the most complex song of Queen's career. Queen II is an underrated masterpiece.
This peformance is just amazing man i just found this video now literaly
Definitely my favorite album.
Absolutamente de acuerdo.
You're absolutely fucking right!!!!
The Queen 2 album is what Queen was all about !!!!!!
Beautiful rendition. Footnote: It took 14 musicians and singers to replicate LIve what 4 men did on the album.
Even the 14 musicians had to below the tone.
well not even queen could do it this good live without an extra 10 people
you know they never perfomed the full song live because it needed 10 more people to play live?
lusmas99 so true
MythsQueue i mean sure there were a lot of overdubs but it still sounded better when they played it live
Holy crap! This is my overall favorite Queen song. Most people who have heard them on radio have no clue about this song, but to me, THIS is what Queen did best. To hear these guys do this, blows my mind. Stunning!
Killerqueen666 Finally someone who gets it, most people who only listen to mainstream pop and know the famous hits say they somewhat like Queen, even rock fans say it when only knowing the hits, but people should take more time to listen to the hidden masterpieces that are album tracks as well.
You are so right!
WOW! I'm so very, very impressed! March of the Black Queen is my favourite Queen song. This guy is the closest I've ever heard to Freddie.
Quite brilliant!!
Thanks for sharing this, I've never heard of these folk, where are they from?
waysidetavern There us somebody called Marc Martel, he have a voice just like Freddie's voice.
In fact, he singed some lines in the new Queen's movie.
Marc does all the singing in the movie, I believe. Marc is the closest you'll ever get, this guy sounds great, but nothing like Freddie.
actually I don't think his voice is similar to Freddie's voice (I don't think his voice is back for a night), BUT this band is great and the singer also. and the most important for me is that they sing Queen II, not the usual Somebody to love and We will rock you tribute band.
It would be at least seven times better if they played it in the right key...
absolutely brilliant.....not perfectly executed (just a couple of not so "on" moments from one of the lead vocals) but "LIVE" ...and in all honesty there are some live clips from the "70"s era where even Queen themselves don't do this material nearly as well....sure, they didn't use a HUGE band like these guys, but where else would you hear this stuff performed live? ...and sounding very close to the recorded version at that...sometimes yu just have to give credit and thanks for not boring us with the "watered down" Queen radio "hits"...god, they must have had some awful moments as creative composers having to basically censor their talents in order to appeal to a wider "pop" audience back in the day.....like Yes having a hit with "owner of a lonely heart"....BLAHHHHH. give me Fairy Feller's master stroke over crazy little thing called love, or we are the champions ANY DAY...!!! but alas...the $$$ economics rule the "business" of music, with little consideration of real talent.
Great band great choice of songs that they do and as great as they sound with all the vocals, there still can only one and that's Freddie and the boys but I love there performance it reminds you how great Queen was in the early to mid 70's
No One can sing like Freddie... But that singer is very good.
@@thegayagenda2611 there’s nothing wrong with playing songs in different keys. Queen didn’t even always play their songs in original key (39, Love of My Live, Who Wants to Live Forever), and many times Freddie dodged the higher notes.
And yes I know this comment is 4 years old
Fantastic! Queen II is their best album
yeah. i feel the same
Definitely!
yukimaruzam to me the best album ever made
Written by God, and given to the best band ever, Queen ;)
PrinceCharming25
Nah - Queen wrote it. Don't diminish their achievement.
Holy hell, that was amazing. Perfect? No, but what is? That's the most technically challenging song Queen ever recorded, and these guys came within a few split hairs of nailing it.
One of the hardest Queen songs to cover and they nailed it. I
Absolutely!
First ever cover that actually captured what Queen intended the song to be!
“Nailed” it? Lol. They didn’t, it’s pretty decent yes but nailed it..?? Come on…
It sounds exactly like the track on the album , absolutely fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4 on a record !!!!! Queen couldn't do this on stage !!!!
This quy should be fronting Brian's Queen instead of Adam what's his name
Well 4 guys, in a studio, with a ton of overdubs.
I burst into tears😭😭
Thank you so much for reproducing so
perfectly this masterpiece of Queen II😭
I'm speechless, best cover/tribute of Queen ever.
You took the words right out of my mouth! I'm stunned!
It's impossible to play live as a quartet.
Listen - I was into Queen in '74. Trust me, these guys are good - VERY good. And the criticism of the singers voice? Bullshit. The singer is as close as you will get to Freddie's timbre & tone.
Truly excellent, but agree that to cut the song short was criminal.
p.s. Queen II was the band's greatest moment.
I agree 100%, having been to my first Queen concert in 1976 where they opened with Tie Your Mother Down, I saw them 4 times in all. This guy has the range and the power that Freddie had too. They are by far the best Queen tribute band
It's just nice that these guys appreciate the brilliance of Queen's earlier work. Seeing this live really brought a smile to me.
And, you lucky, lucky person seeing Queen live.
Mart Henley Yes, the greatest moment.
Mart Henley nothing wrong with this, I was trying to put my finger on the tonal differences. the only 'problem' this man has in all of the music he plays, is in Death on two legs. You can't JUST sing that song. you MUST sing it with the picture of the one person you most want to shove into a woodchipper in your head. there has to be the anger in the voice. this man has such a lovely, prepared, beautiful voice, he needs to find that anger for that ONE song. NO ONE could say P1ss off and die painfully quite like Freddie could. Apparently, Brian said he began to feel bad singing that song cause it WAS so bad. I doubt seriously that Fred shared those hesitations. his story makes me think he was a guy who loved completely but also, hated completely.
Mart Henley i agree
plenty of people on here criticising it because "the guitarist missed the trill" or his voice is not quite right etc? I think it is excellent as are the other covers. Early queen songs are quite complicated. If anyone thinks they can do better, I'd love to hear it.
Oi. You know, I can sing in the right fucking key. This guy can't.
This song is a progrock masterpiece and this is a great rendition. although the guitarist did miss the trill :)
😚🤘😆😄😀😀😂🤣🤣🤣
@@thegayagenda2611 the fuck with your name lol
Robert Davies so complicated that even Queen didn’t do a lot of them live because a lot of sound was the multitrack layering
Not Freddie but we know this. They do TOTAL JUSTICE to Queen II, arguably the best Queen release. To do this live and capture the nuances of this unbelievable tour-de-force is just a love letter to Queen and her fans. Thanks!
❤️
I'd like to hear Marc Martel doing this.
My favorite Queen song ever - never understood how more people haven't come across it. Brilliant version - well done.
It's verry nice cover - even they are not "Queen" it's damn good! They covered one of the hardest Queen songs! :$
The professionlism,...the choice of songs,,,,,Hasn't been done to this standard since the original recordings.....Top marks guys ...I'm blown away
one of best covers of queen ever love these guys
Thank you, Barry
Pensé que los temas del Queenll eran inabordables en directo. Esto es impresionante.
I really like this guy's voice.. he's great
One of my favourites...love you Freddie❤❤❤❤ and the band
they cover one of the hardest queen's song imo and i appreciated it ❤
Wow this actually does this omg justice. Nice
Had this playing for several minutes before looking and seeing it wasn't the real thing. Incredible effort
What about " forget your sing-song and your lullabies"........ but otherwise so excellent!
They forgot their singalongs, that's all.
@@user-lk4ym3gj2j I missed that too, BUT then they would have had to segue to Funny How Love Is. I hope there's a rendition out there that includes that!
Арсений Волошин hahaha!!!
@@LIVEtoROCK86 the Deep Cuts version has the final part and isn't followed by Funny How Love Is. It's feasible.
Wow - how good was that. The choir was my favourite part - really nailed those parts!
You're right....absolutely right!!!
I was fully expecting to despise this because I usually do despise these ... Kinds of things... But this was/is the most amazing thing I've ever heard. I am floored.
I've listened to all of queens songs for a lifetime, and played enough of them in various bands. Picking their songs apart was my main education in song writing and arrangement. This is very, very well done. Very faithfully done too.
Their songs are indeed VERY musical. You got to get into Bacharach's stuff to find modern pop music that's even more educated. I know Freddie studied Cole Porter. But I think the one who brought the really serious chops to their songwriting was Brian. You can indeed learn just about everything from their sheet music - and only looking at Bacharach's will show you a thing or two more!
The extraordinary voice of Freddie sometimes makes us forget that he was a truly genius as a composer, what a masterpiece this song is!
As a fan from the earliest days who saw the guys live many times in the 70's I gotta say this is by far the best tribute band I've ever seen and in some respects they are even better than Queen were live. Now before the shitstorm hits let me explain that - Queen could never have produced something like this live even with the use of their backing tapes and when doing Bohemian Rhapsody live they would just walk off stage at the choral part and let us sing along to the backing track - although at the Glasgow Apollo Fred did peek his head around the curtain as we were giving our all, started laughing and then came back on stage to conduct us all like some mad choir-master with those of us on the upper balcony were jumping up and down so much you could feel the entire balcony swaying and when they did Lap of the Gods at the end with us all singing (and Fred conducting again!) it was just surreal - I'm sure we contributed quite a few new cracks in the walls that night which lead to the Apollo's eventual demolition in later years! However, Queen were not - and could not have been - as note perfect as these guys are because they were just 4 guys on stage - the big production numbers were normally reduced to medley excerpts and the guys were always bouncing round on stage, Fred frequently forgetting or messing up lines and Brian playing plenty of bum notes but hey, they were just the same as all live bands in that more technologically primitive time. Had Freddie lived and they continued to tour then I'm sure they could have reached this stage of technical perfection if they had wanted to - but when playing live the band were just 4 guys having fun on a stage and they weren't that bothered if they didn't get it all note perfect and we as an audience weren't compaining either. This live performance is almost like listening to the actual album track - it's technically fantastic and I applaud what they have done and I would defintely pay to see them live and having seen what they do with even the quieter songs which I would have previously sworn on my kid's lives that no-one on the planet could do as well as Fred....this is as close as we are going to get and I have to say that the singer really puts his heart and soul into it in a way I never heard from any other tribute act. Regarding why the song was cut short - that segway into "Nevermore" is built into the end of Black Queen and can't really be separated from it so they had a choice of either finishing the song early, doing a fade-out or going on to do the second song - which would have been my preferred choice but perhaps it was a logistical move as it would be awkward to go from a crowded stage to what is essentially a solo song without distracting the audience from the essence of the quieter track.
and of course I should have said Funny How Love is , not Nevermore - getting senile these days!
A lot Queen’s live performances were better than the studio recordings.
Very well said Bill!
My first encounter with Queen was also at the Glasgow Apollo, I was aged 14, 6 rows from the front in Dec. '75 - Bohemian Rhapsody has just gone to No 1 in the charts (for the first time).
Saw them again at the Apollo in '77 & '79 and their final concert with Freddie at Knebworth Park in '86.
I'd forgotten about this video - was reminded of it by Titus' recent reply to my original comment from 2 years ago.
I also applaud these musicians - no mean feat covering this magnificent early Queen masterpiece - even with the omission of "Funny How Love Is".
NB: The price of my '75 ticket was £2.50! The price on my '77 ticket was £2.75. Definitely a BARGAIN!!!
realmente fantastica interpretacion ¡¡¡ de las mejores de Queen .
This is such a brilliant rendition of Black Queen ! It's not Freddie but by god he must have been looking down on these people with total admiration !
Endlich mal eine Band ... die sich was traut!!! Respekt! !!!
seeing as this is a VERY hard song to sing live...how complex it is... this guy held on VERY well! bravo!
How to be like queen? You need 14 human being to almost reach thier classic level, this Is so good guys keep it up
Que gran banda!, Agradecido a Dios q bandas como ésta le hagan justicia a sus canciones!! Placer audible!
Wow. I'm Brazilian, so i don't speak english so much. So, I writer with my best words. Thank's all for this gift. Really amazing!
The drummer is outstanding.
No debe ser facil interpretar esto en vivo. Bravo!
this is actually the treatment this album deserves! ..love it!
If only the actual Queen had played this at concert. These guys make it look easy.
mr_talkative1 there’s about 12 people on stage😂😂😂
80 This is my face after having listened to this AMAZING cover! You Genius!!!!
God damn, it's much better than Queen live shows!! I mean sound. Very high quality. And they sing very hard songs! Queen never did it alive so good
simply MAGNIFICO, how someone said once..A night at the opera has never been played in a live performance so preciselly identical with the original album, not even by Queen themselves maybe..
These guys bring a smile to my face. What an epic production to nail all the extravagant back ground harmonies.
FECKING BRILLIANT DEAR...
ESPECTACULAR!!! BRAVO, OLÉ,
Freddie, Brian, Roger, John los genios de QUEEN. 👑👑👑👑😇⭐⭐
Speechless! They are SO CLOSE to the spirit, the sound and the quality of Queen! They ARE Queen... Great stuff, guys. Keep on doing this magnificent work!
His costume reminds me of Genesis era Peter Gabriel.
its difficult to understand how people could criticise this. What they are doing here is incredibly difficult to do. Great job.
Brilliant Fantastic amazingly superb. I loved all the early Queen and this guy sounds so like Freddy man what a production im blown away.
i love how the bassist bops like john!
just so happy to know queen will be around long time as long as people want to perform it at a high quality shows how much queen has influenced us all as musicians
It would be fantastic to see Freddie with a choral
The best cover of the best Queen's song. Perfect!
Unbelievable! Simply fantastic cover of a Queen song that was never performed in its entirety live. I almost wept because it was so good.
This rocks. Love the whole Queen II album. I think they were exploring their possibilities, which showed to be endless. This is a top queen song, amazingly performed guys, rock it big time!!
HOLY SSSHHHHHIT!!!!! THESE GUYS RRROCKKKKKKKK!!!! OLDDDDD QUEEN STUFF!!! AND THEY SOUND INCREDIBLE! IM IN TEARS! SPEACHLESS!
As a Die Hard Queen Fan who got to see Freddie Mercury and Queen Live, I have to say Night Of Queen is definitely the Best Queen Cover Band. The whole visual and sound effect is great. They are the total package. I hear Freddie's voice in the singer. But I also hear a lot of Klaus Meine of the Scorpions. Still a great voice and and a great Band. Thank You for keeping Queen alive to a whole new Generation. It is said that nobody is perfect. To me Queen achieved perfection.
Marc Martel -- You're welcome.
Roger Taylor, Queen's drummer, describes how much Marc sounds like Freddie with terms such as "scary," "uncanny," "spooky," "staggering," and (my favorite) "spine-chillingly identical." "I closed my eyes and suddenly got completely spooked out, 'cause I could've sworn it was Freddie. And you know, you have a very fine ear when you do it all your life and it just is absolutely staggering at times." - Roger Taylor, speaking about Marc Martel
Thank you, thank you, brilliant.
Hello, i´m from Brazil and like the band Queen. Congratulations very very good the group. I see all videos.
My favourite queen song by far.
Great job that they could perform this but unbelievable that someone could write and record this. Love Freddie, John, Roger and Brian. QUEEN!!!
Sehr, sehr, sehr gut!!! Klasse, toller Sänger, toller Chor und super Musiker!
The singer is very good, but Freddie was Freddie and no one can replace him
Que genial interpretación de esta magnífica obra de queen... gratamente sorprendido... saludos desde Iquique Chile
Wow! That's a lot of work these guys put in to play this. My sincere admiration. Queen II is one incredible and wonderful album.
stunning, brings tears to my eyes, my favourite all time queen track and there are many. As many have said finish this off with the last flourish, would be perfection.
a lot of skill and resources are put into the live version of this song this is very pleasing to see how well they did it The March Of The Black Queen is one of Queens' most complex songs and the second longest song they ever made! this live version is the best i have ever seen this is one of the best cover bands for Queen! LONG LIVE FREDDIE MERCURY, LONG LIVE QUEEN!
Master interpretation of queen’s master piece. Loved it!!
Queen II was the first album I bought the queen as a child. Just I love all the songs. It is a unique experience . Thank you very much
I agree no Queen without. the fantastic voice of the best frontman..singer Freddie....Adam write your own songs....
Un tributo del max nivel.ni queen tocaba esto en vivo.slds desde lanus argentina
My favorite Queen song! Well done, wow!
Fuuck!!! This was so above my expectations. Damn that was amazing!!
One of the most underrated Queen's songs. And one of the most beautiful
This was a studio creation, and very difficult to play, back in the day. I was in a band in the 70s, studying at Interlochen arts academy in Michigan, but got credits for my HS, and college degrees at that time, my buddies didn't want to play this, or some of the other cuts from the black side of QII, but we won playing it.
Funny Queen didn't even try to play it with 3 people, and it took 11 to reproduce it..we played almost all of it with 5, and a HS chorus.
Beautiful job.freddie must be proud on u guys.
There are lots of Queen imitators, tribute bands etc....good for them. Lots of good material, that was being panned and hated by the critics back then. Unbeknownst to millions is that Queen was actually a prog rock band before they became a singles act. No harm in that either. But this band nails it....Freddie would be so complimented that scores of people hold his music so precious.
Grabado a fuego en mi cabeza cada nota nota cada riff
WOW! I have always thought this was impossible to play without overdubs. And so did Freddie I guess...I love it!
Excellent! Thanks guys!
Wow! Amazing! Beautifully done!
Epic... Very good!
Fantastic!
I'm all smiles watching this. Superb job!
Beautiful!!!
That's GREAT! Love it!
They skipped Roger's part at the end hahaha. (If you don't what it is, then check out the Deep Cuts, Volume 1 Album.) Although, I'm not surprised that they skipped it because Roger tends to go overboard with the high notes (in a good way though). However, the last part of "The March of the Black Queen" is one of the greatest moments of the song.
Just think when the song ends and it surprises with a sudden change of tempo.
I'm officially floored...
Amazing!
That was awesome!
WOW! Excellent cover!
Amazing! Fantastic! wonderful e powerful voice!
This is brilliant! what a great cover ! wow
Wow, this was fantastic!
I'm blown away! Insanely done!
This is outstanding
As a Queen fan of 45 years.....this is bloody good....Adam Lambert...no ta.
