The first time i saw Mr Alexander was back in the 60,s . I was having a bad day , but within a few minutes he had me feeling a lot better. I wish I could have met him . Just to shake his hand and to thank him for all his positive thoughts . rest in PEACE Bill .
Me too . When I watch this great master , he really makes me feel very peaceful and gives me positive energies full of love . May God in heaven rest his soul in peace !

I Love watching and listening to this man and enjoying his immense talent and personality!! What a great soul!
You have to be impressed with this guy. Bob had to get straight to painting in his shows, Bill speaks for 5 minutes on one of his random talks and still smashes out an amazing painting!
Also if I'm not mistaken, Bob Ross painted a test painting first that he looked at while painting on the show.. most times Bill painted directly from his brain to the canvas. This is the sign of a true master!
So TRUE!!! He doesn't leave himself much time because he's either talking great stuff, or painting the magic white on...and then absolutely delivers a beautiful work of art! Truly incredible!!
@@joypinturra6151 wow.. haters going to hate. I was not comparing Bill Alexander to the old masters. I know art and artists.. but in the sense that Bob Ross was the pupil, Bill Alexander was his master. In addition, many of Bill's works are true art.. he is much better than many of these episodes show. I happen to own one of his still life's, it is spectacular. It is very large, not a TV show painting. So I take it you are a Prussian master painter since you are so knowledgeable about Bill and his experience?

I got a copy of Bill's autobiography and I learned so much not only about painting I learned to appreciate nature. Bill gave me the power to see the better day. This is proof. My COPD is doing well. I am feeling better than I have in years. It is the better tomorrow.

It has been well over 40 years since the magic of oil painting aired. I was just a kid back then. I am now elderly,and thanks to youtube my grandson can watch Bill fire in! I always feel good after watching him paint.

Unlike Bob Ross, Bill Alexander was not copying a painting that was off camera. He was in fact a much better on-the-fly artist and a pioneer.
