Hakeem was just a beast on basket ball court...very quick for a center I love watching his video

Btw some interesting stats about Hakeem: he's in the top 10 in total career steals, not for centers, but for all players in general. Steals may not encompass total perimeter defense but it is a good indication Hakeem is one of the best all around defenders considering he's also number 1 in blocks(of course we'll never know how much kareem, wilt, or Bill Russell who was rumored to averaged 8.1-8.3 blocks his whole career which is crazy). One of my fav highlights was during the last few minutes in one of the 1994 finals games when he not chased John Starks around the perimeter and somehow even resulting in blocking Stark's 3 pointer. You will see the man sometimes pressing guards beyond half court. He's clutch on defense and should prove that being clutch should not only apply to offense but defense as well

Good old Mad Max. Jordan used to hate playing against him, not because he was good defensively (he was above average at best), but because Jordan admitted that Maxwell was the one player that could get inside his head and frustrate him.

The man in the orange shirt was Vernon Maxell, who won a championship ring with Olajuwon. He was like the Desmond Green back in his days.

2nd best player of all time, most 5x5 games of all time, (pts, rebs, stls, blocks, assist) only player with 2 quadruple doubles, won both titles when Jordan was out, eliminated Ewing, Robinson, Shaq, dominated in the Center era (other than Jordan) retired as the only center in the top ten in steals all time

Hakeem is on my starting five. No question. He is the most skilled big to ever play the game. SKILL. Moses Malone is an animal. He had to move to win. Hakeem had the greatest carry job of all time. Not Dirk. Hakeem.
That big said they ain’t paying us 🤣🤣fast forward LOL my guy 💪🏾

I like that your factoring in moses. Most underrated big man of all time.
But for Me Hakeem is arguably a Top 5 Player of all time. And he is also very underrated.
Top Scoring PPG center in the playoffs (37.5PPG) & Leads #1 in all Time Blocked Shots. Was also a Great passer close to 5 APG. and elite pickpocketer during his prime. Being top 10 in steals.

There is a reason why players like LeBron and Kobe worked with Hakeem on their footwork in the offseasons. Hakeem had some of the best footwork of any player, not just big men.
If I'm not mistaken, Hakeem is the only player to win League MVP, Finals MVP and DPOY in the same season.
He is also the only champ to be the only All Star on his team when they won the title. The last year they won the title,
David Robinson won the League MVP and pretty much everyone else though Hakeem should have gotten it. The MVP was announced just before the Rockets faced the Spurs in the playoffs and Hakeem played like a man possessed for the rest of the playoffs. Hakeem would never say anything publicly but I think not winning that MVP stung and lit a fire under him.

@@charlesphearse7620 Dirk was the only Mavs allstar that season. Terry was pretty good, but he wasn't an allstar that year. That Mavs team was full of solid roll players and the team was built well, but Dirk was the only "star". Don't get me wrong though, Hakeem is my favorite player of all time (although MJ was the goat), I wasn't trying to draw a comparison between Dirk and Dream. I was just replying to your comment.

Hakeem and Moses tied for goat no other player could single-handedl defeat the world champion Lakers like they did Jordan could not bird couldn't no one with four doughboys no other All-Star help dominated them in every aspect with their five all stars with their goat center and their goat point guard magic Johnson ousting them from the playoffs they defending world champs Pat Riley I sent four t defenders at him 23-year-old Hakeem from every direction and could not even slow him down Jordan who Jordan was at home watching he was spanked and sent home from the playoffs already

Hakeem had problems with Shawn Kemp! He could never get by Shawn Kemp and the Seattle Supersonices but he was a very good player. He was better than 98% of the players in the NBA today.
