The Atlanta Hawks player who was in the dunk contest was Dominique Wilkins. Different player, different team, different position. Also Bird wasn't alone, '86 Celtics are widely considered one of the 2 or 3 greatest teams of all time, McHale was not their only other player.
We all know wilt averaged 1 million points benched pressed 4000 pounds 1 handed etc lol..look he played..he was bigger faster than most back then..athletic yes..skilled no..9 teams in league
One other thing on there being 5 Hall of Famers on that 1986 Celtics team. In Bird's rookie season, the Celtics won 32 more games than the year before with basically the same players and there was no McHale, Parrish, DJ or Walton. In your reaction to Bird on "Making The Case", you mentioned how the Lakers and Magic had more help than Bird. At one point the Lakers had 4 #1 OVERALL picks on their team: Kareem, Magic, James Worthy and Mychal Thompson (Klay's dad and college teammate of Kevin McHale at the University of Minnesota). I've said for many years now that Magic played with Hall of Famers and Bird MADE Hall of Famers!!!
The Rockets had to give up Sam Cassell and Robert Horry for Charles Barkley. Kenny Smith aged out. Vernon Maxwell was let go and the only role player left that played consistently was Mario Elie.
Not a tendon, is a ligament and is the hamstring I got two ACL replacements and I got a piece from my patella tendon to replace my ACL. The first one kind of hurt, It’s been 20 years and I have been playing and my knees are still going strong. It only hurts when you tear the meniscus.
He is the best most skilled..just didnt have the teams other bigs had..had no kobe, no magic, worthy, big o, etc..he still dominated and would in any era..
I'm glad you reacted to Akeem/Hakeem Olajuwon! In case you didn't know, he was Akeem when he played for the University of Houston. They were called Phi Slama Jama, maybe the greatest nickname in basketball history! I'm 52 years old and my top 3 players that I've seen are: 1)Bird 2) Jordan and 3) Olajuwon. He and Kevin McHale have the best footwork and post moves that I've seen! Another great reaction! Keep learning young fella! Much love and respect 🤙
Show my boy some respect!😢😊
Dennis Johnson, who played with Bird,is a top 10 all-around guard of all time!
Hakeem was not just dunking, he had moves on top of moves in the post and he had a jumper
The "Dream Shake" was just one of many
I grew up watching Hakeem as a Houstonian. He was a beast in all elements of the game. He doesn’t get the respect he deserves
Check his goat szn highlights to really understand how cold he was.
Oh and Larry’s pg Dennis Johnson won an MVP and a chip before joining the Celtics
Akeem top 3 blocks and rebounds
ONLY PLAYER IN TOP 10 ALL STATS!
EXCEPT SCORING, HE FELL TO 12TH LATELY LEBRON SHAQ ETC...

Not all games were recorded back them.
we don't even have all of MJ's videos
why would dem idiots think that even further back in time we will have HQ 60fps vids of WILT
There are only like 6 videos of Wilt.

Jordan only played with 4 hof 2 weren't huge scorers..bird played with 4 or 5 too
All u have to do is ask Jordan about Hakeem Olajuwon and u will get ur answers about how good he was

Woaaahhhh had absolutely 0 idea Klay’s dad played in the NBA let alone with Magic💀💀💀

Great video. He could have arguably 6 titles easily with help..EASILY. And maybe more! He got two literally with no all stars!
Guy, Clyde Drexler was still that guy when he came to Houston and helped Olajuwon get #2. Clyde was an allstar until he retired.
