I work in a very noisy and rambunctious office, fun but distracting. This little gem has managed to allow me to keep my focus without noticing the distractions going on around me or putting me to sleep. It's like magic for my brain! I think the 'beepboops' are the secret ingredient. Well done!
There's something so special to me about TNG. Maybe it's just because I was a kid at the time, but I think it's more than that. They had a great balance between being clunky and too slick, so the sounds were really natural but well-produced and calming. This sound really does a great job of capturing that. Even though there was some death-defying obstacle every week, the atmosphere aboard the ship was really wonderful.
definitely not that you were just a kid. I'm 18 and just finished TNG 5 months ago (watching VOY and DS9 now) and the show still retains so much even after all these years.
Apolitical With Jackdm I’m extremely excited to hear that younger generations are still loving TNG and the other Star Trek series that came out during my childhood and teenage years. Welcome aboard one of the greatest fandoms out there, my friend! 🖖🏻

@Zuŝi Rice Yeah but if you're lucky your subconscious will create it's own Star Trek episode in while you dream! This happened to me once but with Dr. Who.
I thought that I was the only weird one for falling asleep within an episode of TNG. It's NOT boring it's intriguing but depending on my energy levels the ambience can make me fall asleep. It's weird though because I'll be in a state of half asleep and half awake with me being able to hear the episode playing.
This is the best one! All the other TNG bridge ambient tracks on here have environmental sounds like people taking footsteps and doors opening in the background, it's great that this one doesn't have all that. The bridge ambience played a HUGE part of Star Trek TNG being such a great show so thanks!
This sounds much more like the time I spent one month in ICU under a drug induced coma. I can remember the sounds. They are strangely comforting. I've never been on a starship, but will take your word for it.
I was playing ‘star trek timelines’, the background noise IS this very noise, I found myself falling asleep to it and thought, “hmmm, I wonder if this is available on UA-cam”, one ‘scan’ later I found this! Thank you.
Im doing my master thesis atm and this is perfect for staying concentrated ... it is always like "uhm ... someone else is still working, i have to keep working too" ;)
Relaxing White Noise Star Wars,dr who, game of thrones, and for some reason the Big Bang theory just too see what that would be like and this is great thank you I love this show
This is, at least to me, the best of your ambient noises. I actually dream when I listen to this, so that my personal reasoning, but the bass of the engine, combined with the sound effects of the various control panels...I just love it.
Trying to do a bunch of geology studying. this has been helping over past couple days. the beeps keep my brain awake cuz it cant seem to find a pattern to the beeps. It seems random. everything else about this is good too. favorite one so far.
This sounds really nice, the only thing i would remove is the button sounds from the helm officer. I've always loved the little 'beeb-beeb-BEEB-BEEB-beeb-beeb-.......' from the viewscreen, it feels really soothing, but i could never find a clear version of it to use. Those helm beeps make me think that is the busiest helms officer ever!
I have this on while I'm working or need to concentrate...I can say to myself "what would Picard do?" and it helps me knuckle down and crack on with my reporting. Whilst drinking Earl Grey tea, naturally.
We have been on this journey now for 4 years. When compared to the vastness of eternity, our journey has only begun. Sleep well space travelers of Earth. For your ship has been drifting for billions and billions of years. Still, only a small blip upon the scale of eternity.
When TNG first came out I hated Wesley, but when I re-watched the series 25 years later I found him a lot more tolerable. I mean, he should still shut up...but I don't hate him any more.
I worked at an internship where there was loud droning AC kind of like this, and I was the only person in the building probably one week a month. I fell asleep in my cube a LOT those weeks.

I like this one better than the others. In the others the pitch of the engine hum indicates high warpspeed travel, at least 8-9. Gives me anxiety, thinking why we are in such a rush. This one is a steady Warp 7 - a bit faster than specification cruise speed, but I can deal.
Transporter room? Yes Captain. Do you have a lock on Mr. Crusher? Yes sir, he's in his quarters. Beam him 100 kilometers directly in front of the ship. Deanna, be a useful pet and get me a sandwich and some Earl Grey. It's done sir, he's been spaced. Lieutenant, set corse, warp factor 8.
That beeping! I can't. When I close my eyes and I hear it I think of someone hunting and pecking for keys on the keyboard. I just want to *shake them until they stop pressing buttons*
If I listen to this for around 5 minutes and then listen to other white noise, I can still faintly hear the beeping sounds. Does this happen to anyone else?

On the plus side, this really puts me to sleep.
On the minus side, I now intermittently pass out when watching TNG.

this is the best one-- no high-pitched beeping

Its so peaceful. Love TNG . the best Star Trek show. watched the whole series at least 10+ times. never gets old.
Totally agree, TNG was and is real fun.

It feels so safe to 'be aboard the Enterprise'...the best meditation and sleep ever while listening to the Bridge's sounds. My favorite series, TNG!
Yeah for some reason even with the dangers of space being on the enterprise feels safe and cozy.
This is one of the best to sleep to. Thanks for having such great ideas!
So glad you like it!

That is a relaxing visualization.

It may also just be a computers not just the helm officer. You know like Radar and sensors but again it could be the busies helm officer.
Was there ever a final determination about the source of these particular beeps or is it still a matter of debate?

Is there one with out the key pressing?
Something about the mix of deep rumbling and the light periodic beeping that does wonders for a headache.
How did it all turn out? Was it just a passing thing or did it turn out to be more serious?
this is awesome!
liking this simply because somebody thought to make this so.

whoever commands a ship on a night shift can be, for example, a ensign
There was an episode about a day in the life of Data... since he as an android did not need sleep, he commanded the night shift.
