I felt bad in my last riftborn game, I had two sterile lava planets which had negative food values but real high industry, so I just funneled all my non riftborn pops into these labour camps and pumped out riftborn pops to the rest of the galaxy from this systems. Just felt awful, but it was so efficient... :-/
Riftborn are very worth having, they're the second most powerful individual pop, second only to the Vodyani, but much easier to obtain as a non-Riftborn empire
While riftborn are stronger than pretty much all pops, it's worth checking the population bonuses, some of them are really strong and not that hard to get as you spread across the galaxy, especially on larger sizes and densities.
One thing i like doing is having "organic" systems to chaingang for lots of manpower if i need to go to war and if non-riftborn populations end up in my riftborn systems i can just ship them to be ensl-- enlisted, eventually.
You want all riftborn from the beginning, their OP fidsi bonuses are as good as or better than most system building upgrades. Once you have filled up the planets you can build colony ships and key industry upgrades and have ridiculous amounts of industry. You will out build everyone. They are Godmode at the moment unfortunately but amplitude will patch them eventually. I can play several difficulties above what I am capable of with them currently.
Note that the Riftborn have been patched and no longer start with Xenolinguistics. Instead they start with Xenobiology. Its a good idea to tech into that extremely early to get those strategic resources flowing.
@@Earzentail bruh 😭😭😭. Oddly enough my first ever game with them was like 4 days ago so I didn't even know what their theme song was until then. Do you still play? It's kinda depressing that all the content for this game on here is like 6 years old 😔
@@malcador Daamn. XD No, unfortunately I don't play it anymore. But I wish more people played this game or at least knew about it, because it really is great! I have played the first game before and I was really good as well.
jeova0sanctus0unus Don't worry, usually your first match in endless Space 2 will usually be you figuring out the basics of the game and experimenting with the research tree. After the next match you'll have learned everything and focus on the race benefits and goals in mind. Also, maybe it was just me, but try and not focus too much in what the tutorial messages say because that'll just make you more confused. You should also try and research race specific technologies, which are indicated under the technology tab.
hey, does someone know, how I get / build a spaceport? When I start a game, I can not send inhibitants to another system becouse there is no spaceport....
Adminlogable I know this is 5 months late but you must upgrade your system level to level 2 you can unlock that through research I think, after it's researched you must make a blueprint of the new improvement by adding a luxury resource in a certain menu :) the spaceport is free and comes with the improvement
Genocide through free spaceship rides, what a world.
- LollipopSunder - so true.

Riftborn's high industry can generate manpower in no time. Organic systems are a waste. Chainganging "useless" pops are a good thought.
Those poor Epistis. YOU MONSTER

First two minutes with auto subtitles killed me :,D
The riftborn intro video is so fucking cool... Damn.
Their theme song is amazing too.
@@malcador what are the chances, I was listening to their theme song on repeat before bed yesterday after not touching it for like half a year!

patched and outdated, but still a good intro
All the building of pop seems pretty annoying
That's definitely a reason for me to not like this faction as much as others. They're very interesting, but I agree it reduces the fun a bit (for me)
Totally worth it considering their bonuses are basically a system improvement.
