Coming from 23 ultra to one plus 12. Differences I have noticed. Camera processing I like a little bit better with the way the photos come out. Unless you’re zooming all the way out then it’ll be a different story. Charge and battery life is night and day from my useage. Phone can last 2-3 hours longer depending on what I’m doing. Display is noticeably brighter. I do have a bit better cellular signal compared to the s23 ultra. The every day feel of the phone I like a bit better because of the rounded corners.
I've been using the 12 since February and it's amazing. Moreover, I received the oxygen OS 15 update last week and I love the new features. Especially, the split notification quick settings feature. As much as I love it, I'm still going to pick up the 13. Although, I will be trading my 11 and keeping my 12. I require two flagship devices so, this is a much better solution.
I have one oneplus 12 16/512 and is a stunning machine. Is good in doing everything, does not heat up playing COD mobile 😅 and all task you want! The android 15 is real nice! Cheers from Portugal 🇵🇹
Hi, thinking of doing same as you, where do you find best info to do this flashing please, not done before and worth getting Chinese for the price, is it easy to do? Thanks
I have 10k photo in my gallery and tested 1+12 vs iphone 15 pro and S24Ultra and 1+ wins in all camera aspects, and you saying this is tier B camera? WTF?
Great review Kev, You should check out the Honor Magic 6 Pro in a similaf catergory as the One plus. I went for Honor over the One plus I feel it cost a bit more but too me as a all aroung package it is the best on the market. I would of went for the Vivo X100 ultra but I was bit concerned about updates.
I'm not a fan of the main cam on my OP12. I came from a Poco F3, and I'm being dead serious when I say i spent a month taking side by sides, and there is extremely little difference between the main cam pics on both phones. Only the telephoto cam made me go "wow OK this is sick"
Hello, thank you for update. I have it , and oxygenos 15 is superb, only battery is little worser with it, but I hope they will fix it with next updates. Btw, what is that weather widget that you use, looking good?
I got on import OnePlus 12 in white and first of all, there are absolutely no differences to a global version of the phone besides, the 80 watt charging is 100 watt on my device. And it only cost me 650 in February (256 gb)
I upgraded from s22U. Only thing I'd say is better on s22U is telephoto zoomed to 100x. Rest of the phone I don't even miss s22u at all. This phone takes the cake. Night and day difference.
Have you received the android 15 update yet for your oneplus 12? I have received it for mine and have been experiencing many issues since I received my update
A Oneplus 12 is not the best of the best, but overal for the price this phone is just amazing. You get alot for the money in every single area of the device. Im glad i got myself one, best device ive owned to date.
The 4500 nits peak brightness has nothing to do with outdoor visibility. It's meant for HDR or Dolby vision content viewing. The HBM or high brightness mode is capped at 1600 nits, it is good enough, but not better than the S24 series.
After android 15 stable on the OnePlus 12 NA do you get please insert sim card to continue error message on Google messages after every reboot when trying to write and send a text
I'm really disappointed that the north American market just isn't as diverse. Here i can't even find anything that is outside of Samsung, Google or Apple. Overseas have it so much better. Even UK too. At least they get xiaomi releases. And Asia is just so much diverse when it comes to smart phone culture.
Again all the specs when it comes to the screen on the one plus is better than 24 ultra, resolution, pixels, how many colors and so on so calling 24 ultra the better screen is just crazy when the stats ain't backing that up.
every single UA-camr said that the phone is perfect, phone of the year etc..., but no one from them will use it in the long term because they have an iPhone in their pocket. Oneplus 12 or Oneplus as a company become better over time for sure, but in case something is not correct it takes time to fix or sometimes they just ignore it. In that particular thing, they have to improve a lot. And let's be honest the pricing now is also quite high so maybe it is better to think about the Samsung lineup which is very good now and with One ui 7 if that update is as good as shown us on the internet the Oneplus company will have a headache to get the customers on their side.
I was just thinking about this. Knowing that the Huawei ban happened quite a few years ago due to the company being caught spying on Americans on the behalf of the Chinese government, would it be safe buying and using a phone from another Chinese-based company like OnePlus? The OnePlus phones and the devices they make are extremely good and provide excellent value, no doubt, but it is a question worth bringing up and a potential concern to be wondering.
At this stage do you even know what phone company or online social media platform isnt spying on you ??? The Huawei ban just made Huawei stronger and more innovative. America is not the technology innovative king anymore.
Good point! I'm always concerned about my daughter's apple products that are manufactured in China. I'm fearful of what happens to the apple silicon before it is inserted into iPhones and Macs.
Its obvious the OnePlus12 is a fantastic smartphone. OnePlus assumes that buyers are totally familiar with their earlier phones or with other Android phones to figure out its features and how to use them. Regrettably, for new users of the Android arena and OnePlus12 phones in particular, the almost total lack of "how to do..." documentation and UA-cam videos in English are serious shortcomings. (I'm in the latter situation and its been very frustrating. After all, what good is a feature if one can't find it and then, when found, how to work it.)
TBH an amazing phone, my little gripes are the camera isn't consistent, sometimes great sometimes trash, and the curved display and sides which I don't like
The OnePlus 12 is now between 550 dollars or 650 dollars thanks to an early black Friday sale. I have the 12r, which is my introduction to OnePlus and I'm gonna look back. Samsung and Apple who? Jokes aside, oneplus has the best performance and hardware. Plus, the battery life is INSANE. Gonna settle with the OnePlus ecosystem for a while. Never had brand loyalty with smartphones, I've owned several Samsungs, a Motorola, two different LG stylos, a ZTE ahen they used to sell them in the U.S., I even went to IOS for a while (personally, I did not like the experience with IOS). But as of now, OnePlus has my attention.
OxygenOS with that dumb iPhone-like "island" is dead for me. If I need something looking like an iPhone, I just buy iPhone. OnePlus 7T Pro is the last OnePlus for me.
@@RazzTheKid I don't like both. Both of them have ugly holes in the middle of the screen. They should get rid of the holes instead of trying to hide them with dumb "islands"

Their site is compatible with Capital One's Chrome extension, so I got 5% back that way separate from my credit card. $452 for the phone and a case was a no brainer for me, plus OOS 15 looks amazing.

@RazzTheKid this will also be my first time. I feel like there are enough tutorials out there that will help to walk us through it.
The best phone in my opinion. I just got mine. I can't believe I slept on this phone the whole year. Feels so much better than every other phone.
This phone was definitely slept on for 2024 and still a great phone even with the 13 being out
