Me, too. I used to listen to metal, than I heard Discharge - I searched for it coz of the references like Max' - and I was stunned: it's so primitive, expressive and powerful, and I'm really into punk since then. Actually as I'm gettin older I prefer more the simpler stuff like good old Stooges, Ramones, Cock Sparrer, then early Venom, Kreator, Celtic Frost, and Motörhead of course (though it's not as simple as some might think :)).
We all know Max is a big fan of Discharge and has managed to persuade Monte Conor to sign acts before (Fear Factory to RR for example) so I wonder if he had any sway in getting Discharge onto Nuclear Blast
Lol into the void has no clue about British punk. Rat has been a veteran of the scene for years. The new guy is a crap yank with no roots. And no don't count broken bones. Lol! He's not original singer. He came from a band called wasted life. Bless your innocence. Love it
mate, Rat may be a veteran in the UK scene but just because he has roots there does NOT make him right for Discharge, the years with Rat were a complete waste in my opinion, and I think that was actually part of his down fall singing for Discharge. It was too hard to disacossiate him from the varukers, everytime I saw him with Discharge it was like watching varukers playing Discharge songs. As for JJ, I know he was with Broken Bones for a short time and he was part of the NYC squatter scene a long time ago but he has reignited my love for Discharge, he understands the bands sound and put them right back to the top where they belong.
Whom wouldn't wish to be resilient and looking new? Yes, drinking is a great way to relax and not something which everyone ought to cut 100% from their lives. For example, in Steffon Barkload's homepage there's a one hour approach that pretty much forces your mind to repulse alcohol by just thinking about it.
Awesome. Thank you so much, Max. Hail Discharge.
Metal, punk, it's all good to me!!!
i think Max has always that bit of Discharge sound in his music.
I can’t imagine metal, or punk without a Discharge influence

Discharge was one of the first bands that got me into the punk scene.
