In my opinion they should be in the conversation regarding the godfathers of djent (alongside Meshuggah, obviously). A huge influence in my formative years. Their chord progressions/modes were unlike anything else at the time. Mnemic are f'n studs💯🤘
Edit: Mind you MSP came out in 2002, well before the first utterance of the word Djent...wasn't even in the metal lexicon yet. Arguably, Misha Mansoor could be credited for the words inception with BULB in 2004/05.

I've always held them in high regard for bringing Djent to the masses. To this day Mechanical Spin Phenomena holds up. Nothing else like it.
