I watched jerry's series on this guy and honestly think it was one of his best repairs. He definitely puts his heart and soul into every instrument he touches
You know, I think I would rather have that mandolin after Jerry repaired it than I would if it were in it's original condition. What a beautiful job (and I had previously watched the whole restoration prior to this video). Now, tell that old duffer he has firewood to cut and a big rock to move!
Jerry is an absolute artist to be able to put that instrument back together so you can hardly tell, but to allow for it to sound that good? I don't think anyone could do better.
I watched Jerry do this repair and have been subscribed to his channel for quite some time, and he is one of the best Luthiers out there. He puts so much dedication into his builds and repairs, that even with a repair as extensive as this, you can barely even see that a repair was done. I remember watching him do a repair on a Takamine guitar with a very strange Crack on the back, and he was able to do the repair and you wouldn't be able to see that there was a repair unless you were really looking for it. I just subscribed to your channel. I watched a few of your videos and really enjoyed watching them. Thanks.
I saw this in person in his shop while it was just as he received it. He said he was gonna do a long joint on the neck... And he did just that. I myself have done this job on a guitar a few times.
This was a very interesting perspective shown from Jeremy’s point of view. I followed Jerry’s videos of this repair and enjoyed them immensely. I love to see a good instrument brought back to life by the brilliant Jerry Rosa. Jeremy’s side of the story was interesting too, and I love his playing! The Chapman’s are a wonderful band and have some excellent albums.
Just the work of a Master Luthier, a real craftsman this guy Jerry Rosa, OBTW Jerry creates a great high end f5 mandolin inspired by the Lloyd Loar f5.In my opinion, "The Rosa" has as good, I think better cut & volume, sustain than the original Loars of the "Gibson Lloyd Loar mandolin era pieces"
Again, great job on this, Jerry. I watched the repair series of videos on this. Now it's time to get a ToneRite on that sucker, Jeremy! Playing it won't hurt it any, either, of course, but IMO - a ToneRite makes all the difference.
If Jerry can't fix it, it ain't broke. He can do anything with wood. I believe that you could give him a box of kitchen matches and a box of toothpicks, and he will build you a mandolin.
I don't think there is a stringed instrument out there that Jerry can't fix or improve. He is amazing.
Jerry did a fantastic job on the repair and now the truss rod will even work like its supposed too.
Jerrys repair on that mandolin is thru the roof what a pro it looks like it never happened amazing job!
If you haven't seen it, Jerry posted the repair on his channel
@@Apillicus Yes I watch all his videos..Thanks!
Jerry did such a good job if you didn’t know it you most likely would never see it . The grain is almost identical to the cut off piece.
Cool to see Rosa String Works from a different angle.
Jerry is the man when it comes to this type of repair, now I want to here you play it!!!
We will soon!
I did watch that series, Jerry is a fine craftsman. Keep on smiling.
Amazing! Thanks Acoustic Shoppe and Rosa String Works!
Jerry did a beautiful job resurrecting that mandolin.

I've watched Jerry for several years now. He is top notch.

The 2 videos that archive the repair are a master class in the art of luthier and patience. Jerry did an excellent job and it sounds amazing!
29th TAS & RSW fan (& 4-deer-antlers-from-Jerry-customer) LIKE; 146th view. But, no deer antler saddle. ghs silk & steel, or something different?
He did a fantastic job ! Jerry is an amazing. Luther
Totally!
I'll bet that mandolin is worth more now :>. Beautiful work, Jerry Rosa! This was a fun one!
This is incredible!! what a work of art....sounds amazing too.
Yes, I watched that series Jerry did on that Mando! He is a true craftsman & a gr8 person!
The mandolin looks great and sounded really good as well. That is a difficult repair and time consuming to do correctly. Nice job guys.
Jerry's a Master at this kind of repair 👍

Thanks for watching!
It was fascinating repair feat by a skilled artist, IMO.

wow good to know these old guns are still around

Jerry is The Man!

You should have taken it to the master in the first place. That way, you could have been playing it for the last couple of years!
Your attitude suggests that you're a bit lethargic about the repair.
