Jerry, this is amazing and the joy of Anastasia was so worthwhile seeing. I e repaired instruments before although not to this scale and I love the expression it achieves on the recipients. I’m a songwriter and I’d love you to play mandolin on some on my songs. One day I’ll buy a guitar from you so if you can let me know your prices for a build I’ll start saving. In the meantime you are a true genius and that is no flattery! Dominic Ward
My friend had a Taylor guitar that was as smashed just as bad as that violin, normally you would toss it and go buy another but this guitar had been a gift from his father who had died suddenly not long after, one trick my friend used when he glued it back together was to soak heavy strong brown paper in glue and then laid it over the cracks inside the instrument as reinforcement. he put glue into the cracks and then clamped them until dry and then added the brown paper reinforcement as an "extra" little bit of strengthening.
Once again Jerry is on the way to making a cherished instrument and its owner happy. A true miracle worker. What would the world be without Jerry and Titebond?
Well, just started this series of videos over again to watch for the upteenth time. Lol. You cant beat the tips you learn from this repair folks. Hope you're doin alright Mr. Jerry! 🙂
You can hear the pain in your voice, Jerry. Seeing a quality instrument in this kind of shape is really heartbreaking. Thankfully it got into the right hands to bring it back to life!
You are a master! In the nursery rhyme 'Humpty Dumpty'...when the King couldn't put Humpty together again...THEY SHOULD'VE CALLED JERRY ROSA!! You are amazing! Thank you!
You always say that even if it looks like it's been run over by a car you can fix it, that violin looks like it was run over by the removal van, hehe great work Jerry
I Preceive the difficulty of a project you are working on by the number of different T-shirts you go through. 🤣 Great vid Jerry. It’s the type I really like. The challenge! Brad
For those who thought Willie Nelson's Trigger was in bad shape, I give you Jerry Rosa with tonight's episode of Nightmare Theatre. Looking forward to Part II, Jerry.
I started watching and when I saw the state of this poor violin it took me a day to find the courage to go on. Good thing I did! Jerry, I'm just lost for words...
You never fail to amaze me with your talent Jerry! Your old school ways are the best ways .. You're attention to detail is second to none.. I love watching your videos at night when I get into bed.. I put on your channel and learn something every day! I don't watch regular TV much it has become too dumb.. Thank you for the hours and hours of great viewing!! God Bless you and your Family!
To see Jerry piece this violin back together is something else. I found myself holding my breath as he fitted and then glued each separate piece back where it originally belonged. It has come a long way already. A master at work!
You sure have your hands full with this puzzle Jerry, but I have faith in you fixing it. I don't think many people would even try. Peace and love to all.
Good Job Jerry.....You know I used to play a fiddle always loved the song of a good fiddle and player ......As a Guitar player for most of my 65 yrs ...and played a fiddle off and on for 20 yrs I can really have respect the Fiddle/Violin , the KING of the instrument's most closely sounding next to a human voice..........I still play mine it was hand built by a old family friend now long passed on .....mine sounds deep also with real nice full highs ....the old friend said the sound post needs to be placed just right ...you would know .....loved the rebuild fix thanks
Dearest Jerry, your videos help me decompress after a big day while learning. Thank you so much for letting us into your world and showing us what you do. You’re my favourite online uncle. Much love and respect to you and yours. Damien.
A lot of people would've said it's busted, only fit for firewood, but not you sir, you are a true artisan, very skilled experienced and patient, tis a work of art to watch you work, well-done , great job, as always Jerry.....
I think you nailed it as best as anyone could sort out. Really awesome job. People have to realize the patience needed to do this work. Kudos to you Jerry.
I tried to repair plastic items shattered in pieces and I couldn't agree more with Jerry when he says: "you need to do one small thing at a time, THE BEST YOU CAN, considering the project as a whole will get you overwhelmed". It is true indeed when I failed it was for that reason.
The mark of a true craftsman lies in how often you can say: 'I could achieve the goal one way, which would be easier, or I could go this way which is harder but better. I'll go with the harder, better way.' Never ceases to amaze me how often he can continue to take the harder, better path. Amazing work, sir.
Jerry, I think you have mentioned the 'only think of fixing this bit' approach in another video. I now use this all the time when fixing my OWN mistakes, particularly with finishing. It really helps when something you think is a disaster happens. Thanks.
Back in the day I worked at Heathrow Airport at a big lost luggage warehouse. It never ceased to amaze me how people put their instruments through the luggage system in flimsy boxes or no box at all. There were endless broken and bent instruments. i always wondered how they were repaired ... now I know
Jerry, when I saw you introduce this fiddle as your next project, I thought, "NO Way! How in the world is he going to pull this one off?" By the end of the video, I had to pick my mouth up off of the floor! Simply amazing work! Your customer will be overwhelmed!
My goodness, Jerry. I believe you can quite literally fix any damaged or broken instrument, regardless of the severity or the number of pieces.. as long as it's made of wood. You are a one in a million craftsman with extraordinary talent and ability. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and exceptional skill with us! Sending peace & love from Springfield, MO -Todd
Hi Jerry, no one in their right mind would take on a project like this but that's what makes you a genius. All genius's were deemed crazy at one point of their lives. When this project is done, a person is going to be so grateful it makes it all worthwhile. That's why you are the best at this.
Well Jerry I had a sister named Jerrie and she would have loved to watch your show but my wife watches with me now so bring on the next one ha ha we enjoy it !!!!
Wow! My father was a luthier, and I've done some repair work. That takes patience. I'm looking forward to the next one and would love to hear it's owner play it again! Thanks for posting your work Jerry.
You`ve always said that "even if something run over by a truck. .you could fix it"...well this was almost as bad if not worse...you sure have patience and the energy to make things right.. This has to be one of your TOP videos...Chocolate lives again.. Way to go my friend...way to go
I hope the young lady who owns this instrument has the chance to meet you, Jerry. Actually, a meeting video might be great content and give you a little vacation! Love your work.
Kind of amusing to see this glue-up, when one thinks of all the work that goes into sculpting a solid top and back. My old black violin had a wagon wheel run over it many years ago, was also glued up, and still sounds fine when I play it. Leads one to the conclusion that most of a good musical instrument's sound is in the hands of the musician. Cheers.
One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind. You certainly are an inspiration and a piece of work (in a good way). I enjoyed the music this morning. Thank you.
Boy howdy, Jerry. The ability you have for fixing things is unreal. You could probably have made my old Chevy Vega into something like a real automobile!
This video shows your skill to great affect and also your compassion to the owner about what she must think of a tragedy. Once you complete this project I would be very interested to see the owner’s reaction to your restoration and her assessment of Chocolate’s sound compared to before the damage. Excellent video thanks very much
Fascinating! I’ve never watched a luthier video that involved fixing an orchestral instrument. I’m looking forward to watching this remastering thru the finished instrument. I also keep thinking about how thrilled that young lady will be to get her “Chocolate” back. Great stuff!
amazing amazing work done..you have magic hands
Jerry, this is amazing and the joy of Anastasia was so worthwhile seeing. I e repaired instruments before although not to this scale and I love the expression it achieves on the recipients. Jerry , chocolate is making a comeback thanks to your miracle work !
Boy, when you say you like a challenge, you really got it this time. :) Putting the 3D puzzle together.
Once again Jerry is on the way to making a cherished instrument and its owner happy. A true miracle worker. What would the world be without Jerry and Titebond?
That one is sure testing you Jerry !!! Loving the video 🥰👏👏👏👏👍🇬🇧
I saw the last video first..Great Job!..you gave its character and personality back..poor chocolate..you are in great hands..
My guitar went through the wood chipper.
Jerry says, "I can fix it just send the chipper"
Great work!
You are a master! In the nursery rhyme 'Humpty Dumpty'...when the King couldn't put Humpty together again...THEY SHOULD'VE CALLED JERRY ROSA!! You are amazing! Thank you!
wow! the fiddle looked like it got ran over by a car! fixing this is like working a puzzle lol good work Jerry!
You always say that even if it looks like it's been run over by a car you can fix it, that violin looks like it was run over by the removal van, hehe great work Jerry
I love when you work on these "Hail Mary's" that take a miracle to fix! It's like watching a mystery unfold.
Emotional watching you reconstruct chocolate, seeing your skills are humbling.
I love the way you're building a violin out of splinters and glue. ;-)
And just like that, 50 minutes are gone and watched. Time flies when Jerry is in "It's easy, but it's difficult" land.
I Preceive the difficulty of a project you are working on by the number of different T-shirts you go through. 🤣 Great vid Jerry. It’s the type I really like. The challenge!
Brad
Great video Jerry thanks again for sharing you talent with us builders and instrument repair folks.🎶🎀🎶
Your patience is astounding Mr.
For those who thought Willie Nelson's Trigger was in bad shape, I give you Jerry Rosa with tonight's episode of Nightmare Theatre. Looking forward to Part II, Jerry.
Hei Jerry! I thought trash would go to the trash... But you proved that trash can became treasure. Waiting for part 2. Congrats.
I started watching and when I saw the state of this poor violin it took me a day to find the courage to go on.
Good thing I did!
Jerry, I'm just lost for words...
I think that not only did you fix a broken violin you also fixed a young girl's broken heart. Well done Jerry!
Step by step Frankenstein violine came back to scar life 🤣. Awsome and commendable effort Jerry 👍
Reminds me of the Bill Monroe mandolin rebuild! A work of art.
As someone already said: I first click on the like button, then start watching Jerry's video. Just amazing!
One piece at a time, one step at a time.... the only way to not let a project overwhelm you. Decide what you're going to do each day, and do it.
Jerry, if you can get this instrument to sound again, you will have earned a star on the "Walk of Fame" !!!
To see Jerry piece this violin back together is something else. I found myself holding my breath as he fitted and then glued each separate piece back where it originally belonged. It has come a long way already. A master at work!
A similar break like Bill Monroes mandolin, great job again Jerry.
Phenomenal! I’m feeling the love of Chocolate! I think you have been bewitched, Jerry!Chocolate will rise again.
You sure have your hands full with this puzzle Jerry, but I have faith in you fixing it. I don't think many people would even try. Peace and love to all.

I've got to say I'm totally amazed that you brought the violin back to life. You sir are a master craftsman :)
I’m champing at the bit for Part 2, Jerry! Please post soon, this is a fascinating project!
A lot of people would've said it's busted, only fit for firewood, but not you sir, you are a true artisan, very skilled experienced and patient, tis a work of art to watch you work, well-done , great job, as always Jerry.....
Wow, can’t wait to see the finished fiddle. I think you should have a new nickname “Mr. Clamp”
I think you nailed it as best as anyone could sort out. Really awesome job. People have to realize the patience needed to do this work. Kudos to you Jerry.
You're the clamp wizard, Jerry ;)
I tried to repair plastic items shattered in pieces and I couldn't agree more with Jerry when he says: "you need to do one small thing at a time, THE BEST YOU CAN, considering the project as a whole will get you overwhelmed". It is true indeed when I failed it was for that reason.
King of the “tite bond”. Amazing work, fabulous reconstruction 👍🏻👍🏻
Jerry, you are amazing...🤠✅
Jerry, you can do the impossible! I doubt anyone else could do this with such care and drive. Nice work!!
This video and the one of the owner receiving Chocolate are the best two ever, Jerry. Truly epic.
Jerry, youre the man. You have the most patience of anyone I've ever met. Seriously! This is highly entertaining.
This like watching surgery on a hemophiliac.
The mark of a true craftsman lies in how often you can say:
'I could achieve the goal one way, which would be easier, or I could go this way which is harder but better. I'll go with the harder, better way.' Never ceases to amaze me how often he can continue to take the harder, better path. Amazing work, sir.
Nothing good comes easy.
Jerry you are a master....yes sir a master!!!
Impressive stuff Jerry!
Jerry! I get the feeling you could fix a shattered piece of tempered glass! Amazing!
Jerry, I think you have mentioned the 'only think of fixing this bit' approach in another video. I now use this all the time when fixing my OWN mistakes, particularly with finishing. It really helps when something you think is a disaster happens. Thanks.
Bravo Jerry and Melissa.

Hi Jerry, no one in their right mind would take on a project like this but that's what makes you a genius. All genius's were deemed crazy at one point of their lives. When this project is done, a person is going to be so grateful it makes it all worthwhile. That's why you are the best at this.

Little by little. You are absolutely amazing, and this is a great lesson in observation, patience, and perseverance.

i felt pain looking at the crippled violin but seeing you fix it made me so happy
I hope you have shares in Titebond Jerry. You sure get through a lot. Excellent repair. Thanks

Great Video with the reoccurring phrase "this is not gonna be easy"
The jigsaw puzzle, You're having more fun! Sorry for my absence, computer is dying.
Restoration of " 'ole chocolate" sponsored by titebond original.
This is honestly a beautiful thing to watch. Thank you for making this video.
One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind. You certainly are an inspiration and a piece of work (in a good way). I enjoyed the music this morning. Thank you.
Yikes! Jerry Your bravery amazes me! But I’ve seen you do the impossible before! Thanks for letting us get to follow along! Great Channel
Absolutely right about basket cases.. one element at a time... Individual aspects done can bring encouragement to move on to another element.
Boy howdy, Jerry. The ability you have for fixing things is unreal. You could probably have made my old Chevy Vega into something like a real automobile!
This is definitely in my top 10 Rosa videos. It's always a pleasure to watch.
I'm in the UK, and its times like these I'm glad I work nights! Looking forward to this.
You are are rarefied genius, Jerry! I can already picture the finished article. Just a joy to witness the master at work! ❤️❤️❤️
Jerry you have the "patience of Job", on this "Chocolate"project.
Amazing. I can't believe you even took this job, but it's coming together beautifully. Incredible work.
This video shows your skill to great affect and also your compassion to the owner about what she must think of a tragedy. So impressive Jerry!
Yes indeed, every cloud has a silver lining. The restoration of such a badly damaged violin is a joy to watch!
You're the first person I've seen to use C-clamps. Amazing work.
Can’t wait for the second part. Watching now for the second time. I really enjoyed it.
