I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video, I will tell you what happened on the eight-hundred-twelfth day of the war.
Day 812: May 15
Today, there is a lot of news from the Kupiansk direction.
After a period of reduced activity, Russian forces have once again intensified their offensive operations across multiple vectors in this direction. This shift follows a failed offensive in the Liman region, which resulted in the collapse of the Russian bridgehead there. Rested and regrouped, the Russian troops are now concentrating their efforts on Kupiansk. According to Kharkiv Oblast Head Oleh Synehubov, Russian forces periodically focus on different sectors along the Kupiansk-Svatove-Kreminna line to identify weaknesses in the Ukrainian defenses. Their primary focus is on the Kyslivka and Kotliarivka areas, both southeast of Kupiansk.
In addition, Ukrainian military observer Kostyantyn Mashovets reported that elements of the Russian 47th Tank Division completed their regrouping from Liman to Kupiansk and pointed out that most units of the 47th Tank Division are now deployed in positions close to Yahidne.
Following more than a month of positional battles, Russian forces resumed their offensive operations towards Kyslivka. After several days of intense bombardment, Russian troops secured control over the elevated areas along the railway, leading to the capture of the first houses in Kyslivka. Ukrainian officers reported that Russian forces reinforced their assault units with additional equipment and fresh convict recruits, renewing their regional operations. The latest reports indicate that Russian forces managed to take full control over the rest of the settlement, which suggests that Ukrainian forces are dealing with shortages of material and personnel in a hotspot that previously they were able to hold for more than a year.
The Russian offensive effort then aimed to expand their area of operation by attacking Stelmakhivka. However, these attempts were unsuccessful. The Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief, General Oleksandr Syrsky, noted recently that Russian forces concentrated their primary efforts, among other hot points, over Stelmakhivka and indicated that Russian troops made limited gains. Syrsky stated that Russian forces are attempting to exploit their advantages in airpower, missiles, and artillery to reach the administrative borders of Luhansk Oblast. Geolocated footage recently released shows a Russian assault over a Ukrainian position in a tree line close to Stelmakhivka. The Russian infantry approached the position at high speed on two Chinese-made Desert-cross “one thousand” vehicles, also known as “golf cars.” The infantry unloaded and started to storm the position among heavy defensive fire. The video is inconclusive about the result of this particular assault, but the position was marked later as a marginal gain for the Russian forces.
Regarding the northern part of the direction, as Russian forces redeployed some detachments to the Kharkiv offensive, Ukrainian troops capitalized on this by improving their positions near Synkivka, northeast of Kupiansk. A Russian milblogger claimed that Russian forces had to retreat slightly from Synkivka due to personnel shortages, indicating that elements of the 6th Combined Arms Army had been pulled from the area.
In recently released footage geolocated west of the village of Liman Pershy, Ukrainian border guards are seen operating mortars with extreme precision. The footage captures the guards methodically preparing and firing mortar rounds at Russian infantry positions. The last part of the video shows a pinpoint cluster munition attack over the Russian infantry, just close to the railway line.
An additional video also from the village of Liman Pershy shows Ukrainian tank units engaging in combat from a closed firing position. The video captures the tank crew coordinating and executing the destruction of a Russian shelter, a makeshift hut used for cover by Russian forces. The tank, positioned behind natural cover, fires a high-explosive round, obliterating the target. The resulting explosion sends debris flying, demonstrating the effective use of armored firepower to neutralize enemy positions and fortifications.
A third video includes graphic scenes on drone operations by the 57th Army Brigade, showcasing its advanced drone capabilities...

Ukraine should be supplied with an airforce-worth of fighter aircraft, such as the F-16s and longer-range precision munitions, such as ATACMS (more of them, and the longest-range variants should be provided]), and the russian military facilities inside of russia should be considered legitimate targets. It is worth noting that support for military aid to Ukraine in America is over 80% and increasing. This is because Americans can see that not only is aiding Ukraine the ethical thing to do, it is the practical thing as well. America has spent only approximately 6% of our military budget so far to help Ukraine. However, over half of the russian army has been destroyed. This is a tremendous bargain by any measure! In addition to this, when russia is defeated in this war, their barbaric ideology of imperialism will also be defeated, making Europe a more peaceful, stable place for many generations - as well as preventing a new arms race in the region. That is why billions spent today saves trillions tomorrow. The vast majority of Americans understand this. Americans also want to see Ukrainian military and civilian casualties minimized. This is why Americans are correct to support giving military aid to Ukraine.
Please write to your elected representatives to request this military aid. If you are a US citizen, please consider writing to President Biden and your other elected representatives, and demand Ukraine be given the above weapons - in war-winning quantities, and soon. The sooner we give Ukraine the weapons it needs to liberate all of its territory, the sooner this war will be over, and with fewer Ukrainian casualties. Letters can be submitted electronically via the Whitehouse website. One can also google for ones' elected representatives - many of which have similar websites. One may simply write and submit a letter electronically to make one's desire known.

the economic impact of 1 KIA is approx 1-2 million USD over the would be lifetime of the person. its actually more if they are gravely disabled. when UAF sent a few ATACMS and took out ~200 soldiers, it has the same economic impact on RU as 100-150 t72s, except its spread out over the next ~30-50 years.
ukraines careful preservation of life is actually a very important economic strategy for after this war. ground troops are actually extremely expensive to loose, you just pay for it later instead of right now. this conflict will bring about the first great demographic collapse of a non 3rd would country in my life time.

All the delays in aid from the US, the EU missing their artillery aid targets/delay in finding an alternative and finally Ukraine’s delay in mobilizing more manpower is coming home to roost. This will likely be a very tough month for Ukraine. The key to how things shake out by winter will be how much attrition Ukraine can inflict on Russia. It needs to be at least 4:1 to keep them in a decent position.
All this military inability shows that Europe and the US are also incompetent, as well as Russia. So many Western governments have become incompetent. Yet their bureaucracies have become bigger and bigger, while their abilities have fallen, and their abilities per person have plummeted.
@@MB-xe8bb That is modern conservatism for you. A culture of sucking away capability for personal enrichment, or depleting stocks and restricting military spending because it has no direct, immediate corporate benefits, of more government, more spending, for less effect.
Ukraine continues to have a 3/1 ratio, while steadily losing ground. The 2 issues seem to be that 1) Russians are starting to try new adaptive tactics and 2) Ukraine refuses to build strike forces to breach Russian lines. This gives the Russians a constant initiative.
The Russians using small vehicles to blitz Ukrainian positions could pose a serious problem in the future. One of the biggest problems for Russia is getting troops into position to fight. If they find a way to achieve that they will become a very serious threat to Ukrainian trenches.
Oh well. Ukraine still has at least 2-4 years worth of serious fight left in them, as long as they can prevent Russia from becoming highly mobile.
The Europeans need to step up and takeout that Crimean bridge. This is a European war.

After the first missed, they made adjustments AFTER seeing Russian news broadcasts about them being misses until the third hit the target.

Yes, a tremendous lot of the US hardware is stuff that was forward deployed in Europe and already is in Ukraine. Most of the latest appropriation is to replenish the stocks; the replenishment hardware will be made in the USA and then shipped over.

This russo-ukrainian war is pointless in the sense that even if Russia (contrary to the assumption) manages to hold the occupied territories, they still have not managed to win them. According to international law (UN Declarations) it is forbidden to annex other country's territories, so these areas will never be recognized as Russian territories except by Russia itself (and possibly North Korea). The only way for Russia is for the UN Declarations to be rewritten or for Ukraine to voluntarily give Russia these areas (none of this will happen). The territories will continue to be Ukrainian illegally annexed by Russia which will therefore always have sanctions and trade boycotts from the West (formerly Russia's best customers). There will also always be fighting in the areas so Russia will always need to have a lot of its military resources placed in these areas. It will be very expensive in the long run for Russia to illegally try to keep the territories, and the question is whether the Kremlin (and the Russian people) have both the will and the ability to pay this price.
