Same! But I will say having moved here a year ago Florida’s climate is a lot more diverse than you would think. I had thought that the subtropical climate meant that it never got very cold but it was down to the 40s last year! You learn something new about Florida’s climate and ecosystems every day.
That was INCREDIBLE!!! The baby Owl ☺️ SO CUTE!!!! It was super cool to watch you track. Fascinating:). I would love to be able to see a gator digging one of those dens. I don’t know if that would be possible for safety purposes, but it would be cool to see. Thanks for a fantastic video👍. Glad you had a safe trip home (all limbs accounted for) 😁
I love how they start to smile, when they realise that there is at least one bear not far from them, possibly two, where most people would need a change underwear, they just smile, amazing Chris, I love your videos, I used to watch you with Paul on the Gator Boys TV show, its great that you are still seeking out and protecting wildlife.
That was cool. I knew those gator holes existed because I stepped in one once, about 12 feet deep in otherwise 2 feet of water. I've also logged a zillion hours on a bass boat in Florida, but I've never seen what the dens looked like before this. I always learn something from your videos.
7:26 ‘I think there’s more than one’ He got so excited about more than one death machine wandering nearby😂 I love alligators and crocodiles but bears? No-sir-ee
Both animals only really attack in defense and they almost never want to. Both of them kill about 1 person per year. (To my knowledge, correct me if I'm wrong.)
I feel ridiculous, but I didn’t even know there were bears in the Everglades! I live on the south Texas coast and I always think of the wildlife in the Everglades as being the same or similar as wildlife here, just with more swamp/marsh areas and definitely a few more invasive species. But we definitely don’t have bears!
We have bears , panthers, Bob cats , fox , coyote, striped and spotted skunk, otters, mink,, hogs, nutria, about 200 types of reptiles and amphibians, gators, American crocs, 5 types of venomous snakes , gray squirrel, fox squirrel, over 100 fairly common species of butterfly plus another 50 that are rare finds! We have an amazing mix of critters here!!!
To me there like a cross between a rat and a pig. In new Orleans there responsible for a lot of bank erosion as they dig into river banks to make dens. You have some fairly amazing critters where your at too tho.. Its one of the places I'd love to explore, and your native animals to my life list!!! Have a awesome day!!
We have most of those animals here as well as javelina and occasionally jaguarundi. We also have green parakeets. They’re native, not invasive. The only place in the US with a native parrot. But we don’t have crocs, only Florida does (in the US) but we definitely have alligators and lots of other reptiles and amphibians.
You're like a little kid in a candy store that has hit the jack pot. Way cool. I will be able to walk in my florida pathways with greater respect for the potential inhabitants.
Had no idea that bears and gators can live in the same climate area. Shows how much you learn by watching these channels
This reminds me Kong vs Godzilla

Agreed, his knowledge on diapsids in general is impressive.

That owl was cute! That was very interesting, thanks. Stay healthy and happy.
Incredible to see❣❣🤓💚🐊

Really cool to see how these animals adapt to survive. Great video as always! Welcome home Chris! Glad you’re safe
Thanks so much for sharing! I was mesmerized! Wish I could be out there traipsing around in the woods!
This was fascinating! Thanks Chris.
Hugs to you both from Australia

@@im1withnature, that’s incredible! What is a Nutria?

Awesome video!
Anyone else I would be scared for trying to check out a bear. But I’m like, “nah, Chris knows what he’s doing. It’s fine.”
Love your videos and ask the education you provide!
Chris’s reaction to new bear:*smiles* there’s more than one
My reaction:IM GOING WHATEVER WAY ISNT THAT DIRECTION 😂
Their dens that they dug out...
Amazing stuff. Thank you
This was a little oasis in my day! Thanks!
I found your channel in the 'shorts' on UA-cam and watched the video where you rescued the ball python. Great videos. Subbed
I hear your eastern red shouldered hawks. After a skip accross the country, they have them out here in California too.
this was so interesting to watch !
hi from germany 🇩🇪
Guten abend!
So cool!!! You saw a ton of wild life!!!
OMG the owl 😍😍😍
That gator was huge in the last watering hole and when you heard the bear behind you! Exciting stuff! Gonna watch this video again.
Next video: "just signed a contract for my new show on Animal Planet" 😆
Love this video. Thanks for sharing.
Is chris still in Africa? U guys arw the best. Thank you for all you do.
He just got home yesterday!
Amazing animals 🥰
Where was this , more to the north??? Down in Collier cnty we had a deal load of rain recently!!!
Hi Gabby and all the pets at home. I hope you're doing well! Eric
Pray for this young man and his crews...
I got more nervous about the bear then the gators! Such a great video, will we be seeing any content from your Africa trip?
Im new to florida and legally with ccw can you carry your firearm in Everglades for protection purpose and not hunting while hiking?
No it's not a footprint it's .....a ghost print yeah it's Blinky from PAC-MAN 3:49
Is the receding water part of a cycle or is it more permanent? Do you think this is impacted by climate changes?
When is the dry season in Florida? How long does it last?
Can’t believe that’s all usually underwear lol I didn’t know there were bears either lol very cool video!
I never knew it got like this. Pretty cool
Don't mess with the Bear! 🥴
I respect this dude but he's a lil crazy, getting so close to their nests and calmly explaining he's just heard a bear and wants to see it.
Just a chill, laid-back episode.
Curious, what do you call the thing around Chris's neck? Looks cool, like there's bone woven into it.
its a necklace made out of the scoots/scales on an alligators back
I was waiting for: tap tap tap look who‘s behind you 👀
Cool video
If times get hard, do the older/bigger ones eat some babies/smaller ones to get through the drought???
Hell a 12 footer will eat an 8 footer if he's hungry enough!! They'll eat anything they can rip into swallow able pieces
Can yall react to the trainer who got attacked at a party but the dad stepped in and helped???
It's amazing
awesome
Amazing how alligators can survive like that plus how they survive in North and South Carolina where it snows.
What would happen if the bear and gator were to meet each other? Would they fight?
I’ve never been to the Everglades and I live in Jacksonville
Obviously that is a Manbearpig den.
🌴😎
Hello everyone! 😊
Props for not making this a bear clickbait title.
You're like a little kid in a candy store that has hit the jack pot. Way cool. I will be able to walk in my florida pathways with greater respect for the potential inhabitants.
I thought the mother gators stayed longer with her babies? What type of bear?
A black bear! Alligators will usually stay with their babies for 1-2 years
@@FloridasWildest, I see. Thank you:)
Sounds like they're trying to flank you.
If you see a gator coming at you while in the bush, what is your adviice?
They don’t do that
@@FloridasWildest I'm planning on going to the Everglades this Fall - I'm so glad to hear that!😀 I enjoy your videos alot!😀✌
So cue can you pet them ?😄
Do gators catch full grown bears you think?
You are a badass
Have either of you had any skunk ape or sasquatch experiences out in the wild?
