@@uz8587 that's probably the real intention. The IW one is in minor key (commonly sad) but ends on a mayor key, commonly related to good feelings, in the same moment that Thanos smiles. The job is done all is ok (for Thanos of course) in the Endgame one, the theme remains in minor key because there is no hope. A Really good trick by Alan Silvestri.
That would actually make us feel the impact of the movies more.. I think that could have been brilliant storywise. However Disney went on the money train, because why wouldn’t they. Loved Endgame tho.

I love how they end infinity war on a major triad, but in endgame they keep it minor. It’s a really nice touch considering the circumstances. Infinity war is really a movie about Thanos, and that major third they give adds some sweet to the bitterness of his victory. In endgame, however, Silvestri makes the ending more dramatic and keeps the minor third because it’s more of a movie about the avengers themselves and the “sinking in” of their loss
In my perspective, Infinity War was a theme for Thanos. He was the one that one, even the music said he was the one who won, he was the hero of this story. And in Endgame after Thor killed him, the music shares some of the same instruments that are used in the Avengers theme song, as the Avengers have become the heroes of the story again.

Incredible how the infinity war version asks a question at the end and endgame version provides an answer to it. Truly amazing.

Yeah, because the 2018 Thanos died thinking that he won. So, both the Infinity War's and Endgame's versions are Thanos' themes, which Thor dislikes.
