REFORMATION of EYE FLOATERS with LASER VITREOLYSIS

With some types of eye floaters, after an otherwise successful treatment, there can be some reformation of the sticky collagen protein fragments. They typically form longer, thin, fuzzy fiber strands. This is frustrating, of course, but usually quite treatable. The reformed floaters are compact and appear to have less material, less mass than the original presenting condition, so it is still progress. It is part of the inefficiency of laser vitreolysis, and it is all part of managing expectations for treatment with the YAG laser.
