My Dad has a 552 Speedmaster from the late 1950s. He is deadly accurate with it! He has owned it for more than 50 years because he had it before I was born!
Love the work around and love to see what guns go for out in the used market. I always buy new my self bc I know how some dont take the care I do of my tools
Hello Chris. Ted from Texas here. Definitely enjoy watching these videos of yours. You're doing a good job and a good public service and educating us. Keep up the good work. See you in the next video.
Good to see a fellow Hoosier sharing firearms knowledge with the masses. Keep these coming! I'm in Indy, I might have to come out and see what you guys have in stock.
These videos are pretty good.....it’s a brief, touching on the major points, quick history of popular firearms... How quickly people’s wants, and features change. I had a kel tec p11, I remember the dao period. My uncle still has that pistol, it was solid....loooong trigger pull...
All those available firearms in yr establishment but the ammo situation is dire... Great Upload and your efforts is greatly appreciated. At least by me Sir. I inherited my Dad's Remington Speedmaster 522 well, Pop didn't pass, he gave it to me when I was 17. It was his first rifle he bought himself in the Mid 60s when he was 18. It's a sweet rifle.
I've always found your videos engaging, interesting and informative. This is a great series, I get to see firearms I'm not familiar with or ones I haven't seen since I was a kid (40+ years ago). Really appreciate the effort you put into these! Thank you!
Always appreciated you posting these. You save the best for last , lol That Trooper is mint, the Speedmaster and the Ubertti are no slouch either. Much appreciated!! 👍🏼
Never owned a gun but I will be purchasing one soon. Oh, and I’m on a tight budget. I understand that a semi-auto pistol has several advantages over a revolver that make it the right choice for my purposes. That being said, ....damn... I like everything there is about a fine revolver from the beautiful finishes, elegant wood grips, the clicking sound they make when pulling back the hammer, DA/SA, and their ability to shoot everything from light loads, +P, and.357 magnum. Just 6, maybe 7 rounds though. I can’t seem to get past that disadvantage. But I’m really trying!
Revolvers are simple, old school. And go bang when you pull the trigger every time. I have both automatics and revolver. And honestly I love my smith 649 -357. It’s old school. Ugly . But it still works when needed. Just me like myself I guess. Go to a gun store and rent out the guns you think you’d like and buy the one you feel comfortable with.
Really enjoy these weekly reviews! I'm currently searching for a Marlin 1895 cowboy with a 26 inch barrel that was actually made by Marlin. Wow are these ever hard to find!
I noticed some stores are receiving a lot of Russian ammo (Monarch) for the calibers that are basically dry. Anyhow I don't recall if you mentioned that they would take nearly 2-3 months too arrive in bulk ,almost 3 months ago that I heard it but idk if it was you. Anyhow they were quickly being swup up by everyone especially the 9mm but it was nice to buy again 223, 7.62*39, 9mm, in the hundreds and at normal price. (It was range day so I needed extra ammo rather then my reserves plus they were a fine addition to my stock )
I have the 15-22 I bought a year and a half ago for $329 I picked up a UTG red dot and was out the door for under $400 I have added a two point sling and 7 more 25 round mags. It’s by far the best training rifle for the AR platform out there it’s easy to shoot and accurate enough they are currently going for $450 in my Virginia town
I had wanted a SAA for a long time, but when I decided to make it happen. Finding a new Colt was nearly impossible. I had to settle for an Uberti, and am kind of glad I did. My first was a nickle plated .45, and the second was an El Patron in .357. They are very nice guns, and shoot well. Totally worth the money.
The Ruger LC9s is the first and only gun I ever took to the range straight from the box, without cleaning or added lubrication, because the owner's manual says it's properly lubricated at the factory, and NOT to clean it first. I figured I'd get some stoppages just to prove a point, but no, the gun ran flawlessly. A sweet gun. An added advantage is that Crimson Trace makes red and green lasers for it, and you can find a decent selection of holsters for it.
I got one of those 15-22's about 18 months back on a deal for $350 out the door, only difference was it came with a Red / Green Dot instead of the flip up irons.
My Ruger 380 like the Taurus TCP also has an only DA trigger and from what I understand... that is the safety. Because it takes some strength to pull the trigger you will NOT be accidentally firing it off in your pocket. You have to think of it that way.... if you are looking for a smooth trigger... you need to keep shopping. Because again... it’s double-action only.
Just an FYI on the Taurus TCP, they now have a lifetime warranty due to Taurus wanting to up their image. The TCP cannot handle a high round. Taurus replaced mine, no questions. I chose to upgrade to a G2C for a few dollars more. No problems with it. Taurus really stood tall on the whole transaction.
I don’t believe I’ve seen a Thompson Center product. Currently looking at .308 hunting rifles and the Venture caught my eye, I’d be curious to hear your take on those. Really enjoy this show.
nice old guns I still have several of the ones you showed here .LOL I have a old mark III Trooper in 22 L.R. with a 4 inch barrel .it is my trapline gun .
And I have now seen a unicorn- I have a Trooper Mk III that was my grandfathers, and I know they supposedly made a nickle version I've never seen one before this video. That is nice looking. And for people who don't know, the Mk III frame is what probably convinced S&W to come out with an L-frame, as these are heftier than the K-frames. Good buy to whomever gets it, you won't be able to kill it unless you reload stupidly over pressure.
Avoid ruger guns and magazines! My lcp380 is the gun I am currently concealing carrying and i live in Texas and it has rusted in a week! 1 week! The spare mag i bought for it rusted in 1 week too! I now have to clean it daily so it doesn’t look nasty, get a sig sauer or glock 380 handgun! No ruger!!!
stead750 I used to have one. I bought it because I thought it would be great to have a .22 that would shoot the Shorts, Longs, and Long Rifle cartridges. I learned immediately that shooting anything but Shorts would have hot gasses burn my face because the lightweight bolt would unlock prematurely. I finally sold it because I could no longer find the Short cartridges to make it go. I liked that it held like 21 cartridges in the magazine, if memory serves me correctly. Nice idea, not so good in practice.
Starting in the late 20th century and renewed now in the 21st with gusto, industry motto seems to be: if we get it right and make it nice, but two because it WILL be discontinued. Why couldn’t Ruger give customers the option to pay more for quality instead of taking that choice away and bringing just crap 💩.
There is no safety on the firing pin of the Uberti. The safety if you want to call it that, is the second notch on the cylinder pin. Pushed all of the way in and secured, keeps the hammer pushed back about an eighth of an inch, keeping it from striking the primer of the bullet.
Will never spend a dime on a RUGER handgun. Have the LCP 380 worst gun ever, jam after jam. Sent it in to RUGER they sent it back still jams. Biggest piece of junk.
Same here, but they can "ask" all they want. In general, People keep buying so prices keep climbing. Gun broker is getting out of hand too ( although, there are some deals...or should I say reasonably priced for these times we are in).
I am new to the gun community, do you think Remington will be bailed out because they just went bankrupt, I was thinking about getting into deer hunting and wanted to buy a 700.
Remington will be sold to another group of investors. They will still be around. The model 700 is a excellent choice. My choice of caliber is a .270. Looking at the balistics, the 300WSM is one to seriously consider.
Chris, you started talking much faster. That makes the video much worse. There is no competition to cramp are many words as possible, like at the end of a commercial. Please slow down.
Top Turf I grew up with fords and they've been the best trucks ever i love them. My buddy is into chevys and they break down all the time, he always has problems with them. Ford F-150 was actually the best selling vehicle, not just truck, but vehicle for 9 years straight, and they still are the best selling trucks for 31+ years and still going strong. Fords are stronger, more durable, better performance, and they look friggen SWEET!! And all those acronyms people make up for fords don't know ****, they think those up while sitting on the side of the road when the chevys break down. Fords are just a more of a dependable vehicle. Ford and Chevy have made cars that fails but only vehicle that has never fail is F-150 there never do me wrong. I owned 94 and 01 f150s follow by a 90 bronco. they have never prove me wrong. Owned a 97 s10 blazer... total ****... needed parts and work every week. so Chevy loses a score for that one.
Out of all of the firearm content on UA-cam, this is only series I look forward to each week. Seriously good stuff.
Agreed
I’ve seen better.
Amen! Great stuff. Thanks
Oh and Paul Harrell videos are great too!
Agreed sir
Like an old friend. Used guns on a weekend!!!
Seriously becoming my favorite UA-cam segment. Please don't stop doing these use gun reviews.

i comment just to support your channel..... you do a great service for American's 🇺🇸💪🏻
Love that 522 speedmaster,I have some old 550-1 rifles I love
I like that TCP better than their current .380 offering.

Check out the Tarus G2C or the G3C.
Cheap and dependable.
Get a taurus g series pistol. If u have 100 more get a canik
The Remington Speedmaster is one of the best rifles ever made, especially for a lefty...
Really enjoy these weekly reviews!

Nice selection again. Enjoyed it.
This series of videos is absolutely fantastic. Please continue to deliver quality product. Great job, per usual.

What great education and informative content.
Thanks for speaking well of the Colt Clones. Bought my first one last year and it is a quality gun and fun to shoot.
I bought a Soeedmaster 522 in 1980 for 140 bucks. Still a great shooting rifle.
love these vids!

Opinion: From a former owner the LC9 sucked. Bad trigger and magazine disconnect. Sold at a loss.

Very Educational.
The m&p 15-22 is a great gun. Mine is well past 15k down the pipe.
Have u had to fix anything on it? Thinking of getting either a 15/22 or a 10/22
And I have now seen a unicorn- I have a Trooper Mk III that was my grandfathers, and I know they supposedly made a nickle version I've never seen one before this video. That is nice looking. Excellent video as always. Umberti kinda reminds me of Clint Eastwood 's start of acting career - spaghetti westerns.
Thanks for the weekly review.😀
You keep up this straight forward, no nonsense education and your gonna have a gazillion subs one day lol
I've had a few Savage firearms. I've found them to be excellent firearms. Never had a issue with them
Keep the videos coming.

I got the same problem with my g2c when i started carrying it to work. Never had a problem with my shield
I'm pretty sure that Remington is a "552" not a "522"
Yes, correct lol
Yea its 552, i have a very old one 👌
stead750 I used to have one. I bought it because I thought it would be great to have a .22 that would shoot the Shorts, Longs, and Long Rifle cartridges. Speaking with first hand experience the Savage axis has big problems with light primer strikes ...
Just picked up a couple savage Axis for 175 at Wal-Mart.....
I would love to know what people are trading these guns for, as they all seem decent to me
Love your channel.
There is no safety on the firing pin of the Uberti. The safety if you want to call it that, is the second notch on the cylinder pin. Pushed all of the way in and secured, keeps the hammer pushed back about an eighth of an inch, keeping it from striking the primer of the bullet.
You belong in politics!
I like the way you’re able to make complete sentences in an intelligent and articulate way!
Most cowboy action shooters are using Ruger vaqueros, not italian colt clones.
Thnx for the content. Wouldnt mind a 15/22
I really like this channel!!!!
Hey Chris would love to see some collaboration with you and forgotten weapons or phill harrel. Watch out for Harrel!
Can you talk about the LCP 2 in .22lr I just bought?
Clean it often .22 tends to jam
@@michaelauto7090 the lcp 2? My 22 rifle doesnt jam if i use aguila or cci
Will never spend a dime on a RUGER handgun. Have the LCP 380 worst gun ever, jam after jam. Sent it in to RUGER they sent it back still jams. Biggest piece of junk.
I didn’t have a jam issue but have a horrible rusting problem with it!
My ruger American has been flawless
Too bad in my area, private owned used guns are selling (asking for actually ) for hundreds above msrp!
Any generic hunting rifle from Walmart will do , 3-400 for a nics rifle with scope
Remington will be sold to another group of investors. They will still be around.
The model 700 is a excellent choice.
My choice of caliber is a .270.
Looking at the balistics, the 300WSM is one to seriously consider.
Remington 700s have gone way down in quality and have had alot of issues lately. Your better off with a ruger or savage
Deer rifles in IN? Must have changed the laws since I lived there, because IN used to be slugs or muzzleloaders only.
Im speaking to a national audience, but yes, in IN you can use anything over .243 as long as you are on private land... Unless that has changed.
Nothing on the wall.
Its remington speedmaster 552, not 522.
Chris, you started talking much faster. That makes the video much worse. There is no competition to cramp are many words as possible, like at the end of a commercial. Please slow down.
Ruger sucks at SAA clones.
SCREW UT.
