Ah! Cyber Sled! I remember back in the day that the arcade cabinet was never left alone by the big boys. At that time, I thought it was good competition for T-MEK arcade, which was also one of the popular arcade cabinets. If I remember correctly, Namco ported Cyber Sled to the PS1 as a showcase of what it could be done with the then new CD-based hardware and what it couldn't with cartridge-based one (yeah, looking at you, N64).

What Felony 11-79 lacked in tracks, it made up for in it's completion goals. There were a ton of different cars you could collect by completing the stages with certain damage totals, ($2,500,000 or $0 for example), time goals, speed goals (over X km/h on the highway), etc. You could unlock things like F1 Race cars, Dodge Viper, even an RC car and a Street Sweeper! Oh man! Seen silent bomber on this list just made my day! I was addicted to this game back on my ps1 days... told all my friends about it, nobody gave it shot... Lots of fun! Thanks Metal Jesus!!
I remember reading about Thrill Kill, something about congress or the senate looking for a soapbox. Despite like you said, Mortal Combat being common, and games like Blood Omen being around. It was mentioned by name or something, and got targeted as an especially violent game, and got remade into the Wu Tang fighting game. But my question is are there any hard copies, or are they all just ISOs? Since you showed a pile of jewel cases at the beginning of the video, I gotta ask.
First game i played when i got my ps1 was Ridge racer. Upgrading from an Amiga1200 (in terms of power) i thought it was amazing. My fave racing game at the time was Lotus3. Great times indeed. I still have my Playstation and about 50 games, could never part with it. great Vid Jason.
Parappa the Rapper, Intelligent Qube, Star Wars Master of Teras Kasi, Vigilante 8, Dino Crisis, Treasures of the Deep, Apocalypse (Bruce Willis), Dune 2000 and of course all the Red Alert Command and Conquers ....just some of my personal favorites that weren't well known
I agree. Motor Toon Grand Prix gives me the same vibes as Micro Machines which also reminds me of another REALLY hidden gem on the PS1 that I do not hear anybody talking about. It's called Micro Maniacs. It plays the same as Micro Machines, but instead of cars, you play as weird, quirky characters that have been shrunken into the size of a mouse. You find yourself running around race tracks based on areas of a common house, such as the bathroom, garden, playroom, etc. It's really great and I highly recommend you check it out.
I've been a fan of Motor toon grand prix since I got a demo of it on the ps1 as a kid. I was excited to see it mentioned here. I'm glad it's a game you liked as well. Thanks for this video! The ps1 is still awesome in my book!
we'll never have the feeling or the games we had at the turning point of the ps1,ps2,xbox,gamecube,N64 era..Too much focus on resolution, frame rates,etc..
Silent Bomber was amazing, and was a game I would never have thought about buying had it not been for a solid demo. Never got many ranks above B or C when I played it but enjoyed all of it especially the "chess match"
Mr Domino was absolutely genius, absolutely, I owned it and traded it but I wish I had not as its incredibly rare to find now as no one was familiar with it. Very addictive, very fun and a true game of imagination. Love unique gameplay and design like that.

Also Vigilante 8 ;)
TM 2 is way better one of my fave
The only PS one game I still play is Hogs of War, I just love that game.
Wait, no intro? What? I'm confused...
U get contused very easy.. dont die out there

See's the video was uploaded 3 seconds ago: "Oh boy, I can be first!"
See's 4 comments already: D:
Probably early access for patreon subscribers.
Mofos didn't even see the video, just went straight into the comments.
totally remember cyber sled in the arcade. i was a huge fan of virtual-on so it was neat that cyber sled also used twin stick controls
we'll never have the feeling or the games we had at the turning point of the ps1,ps2,xbox,gamecube,N64 era..Too much focus on resolution, frame rates,etc..
Thank you for bringing 'Silent Bomber'
One of my fav games of PS1
I Clicked the Notification The millisecond I seen it.
Just started collecting for the PS1 so I am SO stoked for this video.
I'm view # 944 ! What do I win Metal Jesus?
❤️
Silent Bomber was amazing, and was a game I would never have thought about buying had it not been for a solid demo.
Never got many ranks above B or C when I played it but enjoyed all of it especially the "chess match"
Did you just make up a new word, "isn'tly" at 5:38?
Sure. Why not 😂
10/10 for creativity.
Mjr, sitting in lockdown in Melbourne Aus and your videos give us a whole lot of happiness down here!! Keep up your great work!

I've been waiting years for you to mention silent bomber. Absolute classic. And the name is hilarious
Mr Domino was absolutely genius, absolutely, I owned it and traded it but I wish I had not as its incredibly rare to find now as no one was familiar with it. Very addictive, very fun and a true game of imagination. Love unique gameplay and design like that.
Felony 11-79 is an awesome game. Would rent it all the time back in the day.
Motor toon Grand Prix was my favourite game as a kid!! No one knew what it was apart from me and my brother.. I still play it EVERYTIME I feel like playing PSX ❤️❤️ super underrated
That Steel Harbinger game is so 90s it hurts, I lived through that decade but I don't think I've ever seen anything as 90s as that :D
Nanotek Warrior and Silent Bomber look really fun. Will def be on the lookout for those.
This is one of the reasons why the first PlayStation is my favorite console ever. Lots of hidden gems. I need another PS1 Imports PAL & Japanese Hidden Gems video.
Cyber Sled game is super popular in arcade across Asia other then Daytona and Man X TT superbike. Kind of mandatory in any respected arcade and yes, the cab usually came with 2 player in opposing sides battling each other out. Kind of arcade battle royale.
