    I have a 1 yr old RF260BEAESG/AA refrigerator looks exactly like yours except color. I woke this morning to my coffee being cool, juice thawed as well as icepacks. Porkchops and chicken so far so good. The temp cover is in same place and untouched. The frozen juice' light frost is melted ontop of can. I played with freezer and set it on -8 with Power Freeze button active. But freezer will only cool to 8° or 10° . The water drops have re-frozen though. It's Sunday, four days until Thanksgiving and their ETA is the 28th.

      I have the same type but the problem is with the temperature, first the freezer went out and then the refrigerator came after

    Question. My Samsung 4 door french fridge has a similar freezer temperature sensor cover. To remove the cover do you just squeeze on the sides? Or insert a screwdriver to press against the tabs? In your video at time 2:20 it appears that perhaps the 2 tabs with holes might click into dimples recessed in the freezer case.

    I have a Samsung RFG297aars and bottom part is just cooling off the meats 😮‍💨 what could be the problem?

    I have the exact same fridge and the exact same problem. Bought the fridge 8 years ago and I've had a number of problems with it before now. Wires ripped out right where they come through into the little cavity. There doesn't seem to be any way to access those wires so I might have to cut into the top of the freezer compartment a little bit to access them. Very unhappy with this fridge, might just have to buy a new one, and it won't be a Samsung.

      Tom - What did Samsung do with yours? Same problem I just had tonight and mine is 8 years old.

    How do you pop that little cover off?

    • @klausbartels5077
      @klausbartels5077  5 років тому

      Just squeeze the middle of the plastic cover together then pull the cover down.

    The same thing happened to our Samsung Refrigerator model RF263aewp. Fortunately, we had an extended warranty through Lowes, and they refunded us the purchase price. I would still like to fix it, and was curious if anyone figured out how to get at the lead wires up above the freezer.

      I don't know. However, the repair video that came up after I viewed mine showed how to replace temperature sensors in certain Samsung refrigerators. However, the refrigerator shown was of a different design and did apply to the type I had with a temperature sensor in the ceiling that was exposed such that normal use could damage it. The repair video showed the sensor protected behind a flat panel on the back wall.

    Also put a title on the youtube page what model and type the refrigerator is

      I can't find a record of the model number, but this problem applies to all Samsung refrigerators that have a protruding temperature sensor on the roof of the bottom freezer drawer compartment. Many bottom freezer models that I saw for sale in 2015 still had this same defective design as my 2011 model.

    i had the same thing happen to my fridge...ripped the red wires right out of the connecter . im tryin to figure out a way to reconnect tiny red wires to plastic adapter

      The Samsung tech told me it was not repairable. It is a very poor design as normal use of the refrigerator can cause a cheap part to fail causing the unit to not cool and requiring a total refrigerator replacement.

      Both red and black wires ripped out of the adapter. I cut the wires on the yellow side, stripped all four wires and used wire connectors from a trailer...don’t know if it matters which yellow goes to red or black. Either I got lucky or it doesn’t matter
